Abstract
Un procedimiento de purificacion del aluminio por segregacion destinado a la formacion de una masa solida (o bloom) de elevada pureza, (que contienemás de 99,95% de aluminio) a partir de una solucion original. Este procedimiento comprende laformacio n de cristales por cristalizacion parcial, una compresionperiodica del bloom y una refusion esencialmente continua del bloom por calentamiento durante el crecimiento así como el ajuste de la potencia térmica enfuncion de la altura H medida,con el fi n de obtener una determinada velocidad de progresion de la altura que es decreciente en el tiempo. Un dispositivo depurificacion del aluminio, apto para formar el bloom de elevada pureza por segregacion, que comprende un crisolrefractario, un horno provisto con medios decalentamiento del crisol, con medios para producir una refusion parcial de dicho bloom mediante el calentamiento durante el crecimiento, y al menos un medio decompresion, que comprende medios para medir laaltura H de la citada masa solida durante el crecimiento, y medios para controlar la potencia térmica de dichosmedios de calentamiento en funcion de la citada altura H medida, con el fin de obtener una determinada velocidad de progresion de laaltura, que es decrecienteen el tiempo.
