Abstract

Un implante dental de una sola etapa para ser implantado en el maxilar vivo que tiene gingiva sobre el mismo comprende una seccion de cuerpo de formageneral cilíndrica que tiene una superficie externa para enfrentar el hueso maxilar y una seccionde cabeza unida a la seccion de cuerpo para extenderse através de la gingiva que la cubre cuando la seccion de cuerpo se encuentra enfrentado el hueso maxilar. La seccion de cabeza tiene una porcion de extremoque está, en general, cerca de unacapa externa de la gingiva. El implante también incluye un orificio dentro de la seccion de cabeza que se extiende auna abertura en la porcion de extremo de la seccion de cabeza. El orificio está definido por paredes primera, segunda y tercera.La primera pared tiene unarosca interna. La segunda pared se extiende desde la primera pared hacia la porcion de extremo. La tercera pared se extiende desde la segunda pared a laabertura y se acampana hacia la abertura hasta un diámetro que es mayor que el diámetro de la segunda pared. El implante es transportado al lugar de la bocadel paciente con un transportador al lugar de la boca del paciente con un transportador que se expande dentro de la segunda pared del orificio,vinculándoseapretadamente, de manera de resistir el torque de insercion. El implante puede ser provisto de pilares que se extienden sobre la porcionsuperior del implante. El pilar puede estar provisto de componentes formadores de la gingiva y pilares temporarios.
