Abstract

Un acoplador acustico se asegura en forma desprendible a un conjunto de receptor para la insercion profunda en el canal auditivo de un individuo. Elacoplador acustico provee una camisa de acoplamiento cilíndrica, de paredes delgadas, semirígida que está adaptada para ser unida a un conjunto dereceptor cilíndrico. Un material de sellado adaptable se une diametralmente sobre la camisa de acoplamiento para que calce de manera comoda y para sellaracusticamente el canal auditivo de un individuo. La camisa de acoplamiento es sustancialmente concéntrica al conjunto de receptor para formar unainterfase eficiente de amplio espacio y un método de reemplazo de fácil uso. La sujecion del acoplador acustico al conjunto de receptor selleva a caboaplicando una fuerza (de impulsion) axial mínima con el fin de asegurar el acoplador acustico al conjunto de receptor. El acoplador se mantiene unido enforma segura al mismo y es capaz de soportar fuerzas axiales de separacion(de traccion) considerables sin ser desalojado dentro o fuera del canalauditivo. Al aplicar una fuerza (giratoria) rotativa con respecto a la caja de receptor se separa el acoplador acustico de la caja de receptor. Debido aque los movimientos rotativos son mínimos durante la insercion o la remocion del acoplador del oído de un individuo, no es posible el desprendimientoaccidental,
