Abstract
Se revela un método y aparato que permite el funcionamiento de una unidad telefonica portátil TDMA de modo dual. El primer modo de funcionamientohabilita la comunicacion sincronica hasta 75 kilometros . En el segundo modo de funcionamiento, launid ad telefonica portátil opera de acuerdo con unaestructura de trama que habilita la sincronizacion entre la unidad telefonica portátil y la estacion de base para alcances mayores que 75 kilometros. Esteaumento del alcance se logra moviendo elinterv alo de tiempo de transmision dentro de la estructura de trama de una transmision TDMA, en el segundo modo, aun intervalo de tiempor posterior en la estructura de trama respecto del primer modo.
