Abstract
Un método y aparato para hacer fluir metal líquido a través de una tobera de fundicion que incluye una abertura alargada que tiene por lo menos unacompuerta de entrada, por lo menos una compuerta superior de salida y por lo menos una compuertainfe rior de salida. Un deflector se encuentra dispuesto cercade la compuerta superior de salida para dividir el caudal de metal líquido que pasa por la abertura en por lo menos una corriente externa y una corrientecentral, fluyendo la corrienteexterna a través de la compuerta de salida superior y fluyendo la corriente central más allá del deflector y hacia lacompuerta de salida inferior. El deflector está adaptado para asignar la proporcion de metal líquido dividido entre lacorriente externa y la corrientecentral, de manera que el ángulo de descarga efectivo de la corriente externa que sale por la compuerta superior de salida varía segun el caudal de metallíquido que pasa a través de la tobera de fundicion.
