Abstract
Se describen métodos y sistemas para generar senales de temporizacion en unidades remotas que se pueden usar en un sistema de radiocomunicaciones, sepuede usar un reloj de suma exactitud a fin de proporcionar una senal de referencia detiem po a un procesador de la unidad remota en los momentos en quese requieren senales de temporizacion de suma exactitud. Durante los períodos de baja actividad, se puede apagar el reloj de suma exactitud y se puede usarun reloj de baja exactitudpara generar las senales de temporizacion de referencia destinadas al procesador. En forma periodica, se puede verificarla precision del reloj de baja exactitud determinando una cantidad de pulsos de baja exactitud que se generan entre lassenales de temporizacion del sistemacreadas sobre la base de los pulsos del reloj de suma exactitud. De este modo, cuando se depende del reloj de baja exactitud para crear las senales detemporizacion del sistema, la exactitud es suficiente comopara permit ir que el procesador reconozca el momento en que es tiempo de volver a encender el relojde suma exactitud. Más aun, la verificacion de la precision del reloj de baja exactitud permite que el procesar proporcione senales de compensaciondeerrores a una funcion de reloj de tiempo real que se basa en los pulsos de reloj de baja exactitud para determinar una hora actual.
