Slama sa ostatkom zrna, se uvodi uz pomoć bitera (48) u separacioni cilindar I (52) i progurava rotorom (51) duž separacionog cilindra I (52) ka izlazu. Usled dejstva rotora sa zavojnicom (51) i vazdušne struje ventilatora (56) na vratilu rotora (51) izdvojeno zrno prolazi kroz otvore sita (55) separacionog cilindra I (52) u separacioni cilindar II (53). Slama izlazi iz otvora izmedju rotora (51) i separacionog cilindra I (52) i razbacuje se izbacivačem (71) na strnjiku. Zrno u separacionom cilindru II (53) delovanjem zavojnice i ventilatora (44) prolazi kroz otvore sita (54) separacionog cilindra II (53) u spiralni transporter za zrno (57). Pleva i primese se iz separacionog cilindra II (53) izbacuju na strnjiku pod dejstvom zavojnice cilindra II (53) i vazdušne struje dobošastog ventilatora (44).
