Description

DESCRIPTION
DETACHABLE DIGITAL DEVICE FOR WATCHES
Technical Field
The invention relates to a device that is used externally to give digital features to classical watches and does not require any modification to the classical watch or strap.
Background
There are advanced products in terms of both product technology and production technology in the smartwatch industry. In the classical/mechanical watch industry, there are also products produced with advanced technology that can be included in the luxury category. Although smartwatches have entered our lives in the recent past, they are highly accepted products in terms of their ease of use. On the other hand, classical/mechanical watches, which can also be regarded within the luxury consumer products industry, are a sign of status and complementary accessory. Their market grows day by day and the product technology is developing accordingly. However, classical watches, which are status indicators, do not make life as easy as smart watches, while smartwatches are considered to be wearable electronic devices rather than an accessory. Because smartwatches do not display an accessory feature or elegance, they often offer a blank display to conserve battery power. In this case, users have to choose to wear either a smartwatch or a classic watch.
The solutions offered for the use of the classical watch and digital watch, which are included in the state of the art, are not the products that can be applied to every watch, instead, they require a change in the watch strap or the use of a special strap to be applied on the watch.
For example, in the solution described in patent application US2009/0207701A1, the digital device is mounted in the region of the watch buckle with a modification to the strap and cannot provide detachability feature. Similarly, the patent application US2016/0143403A1 discloses a strap specially designed for use with both the classical watch and the digital watch. However, it is not possible to use these two devices together without this special strap.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The device of the invention is a removable device that solves the problem of modification that the solutions presented in the previous art cannot solve, that is, it can be attached to classical watches without requiring modification. This is a solution that can easily integrate smartwatch features into classic watches. In addition, a single device can be attached to different classical watches that the user would prefer and use at different times.
The device of the invention may be applied to any watch without any modification or service. While maintaining its classic watch appearance, it allows the use of features such as displaying notifications like smartwatches, answering calls, and monitoring activity/health records. The device of the invention provides facilities such as viewing, editing, and keeping records of notifications, calls, and sports records by sharing data with a mobile phone via Bluetooth. This device can be a smart watch, or a tracking device equipped with sensors where healthcare personnel in the healthcare industry monitor the user's data.
Figure 1-3 describes the device of the invention. The device of the invention comprises at least one display (1), preferably a touch screen, on a body (4). Thanks to this display, the user can view and manage all the calls and notifications. The inventive device comprises a leg (2) which enables it to be mounted on the conventional watch strap (6), preferably in the position of the strap buckle (7). Figures 4 and 5 demonstrate a preferred embodiment of the invention. In a preferred embodiment, the legs (2) are secured to the strap by grasping the strap (6) at the point desired to be mounted on the strap (6). After the legs (2) are fixed to the strap, they are planar in a way that they are in the same plane as the strap so that they do not apply pressure to the arm of the user. The legs (2) may be in a hard bar structure or may be more flexible than the soft material. At least two legs (2) are positioned in the two comers of the body (3) in a preferred embodiment of the invention. The hinge system may be used to secure the legs to the body, or a different fixing tool may be used. While one end of the legs (2) is fixed to the body, the other end is locked to the body thanks to a lock (8) mechanism on the body after being put on the strap. The lock (8) mechanism may be in the tab and notch structure or a mechanism containing a hook and pin, or magnets in the legs and body. The legs (2) may be made up of two or more parts as well as one part. At least one of the parts forming the legs is rotatable 180 degrees around its axis. If the legs (2) are in two comers of the body, the lock (8) mechanism is located in the remaining two comers of the body (2) and the two unstable ends of the legs are fixed by this lock (8) mechanism. In another embodiment, the legs (2) are located at all four comers of the body, and the lock (8) mechanism is located at the ends of the legs that are not fixed to the body.
In another embodiment of the invention, there is a single leg. The leg (2), which is fixed to the body (3) by means of a pin placed along one edge of the body (3), is connected to the strap by means of the lock mechanism on the free end and on the edge on the opposite edge of the edge where the pin is located. In this embodiment, the leg is in the form of a strip. In another embodiment of the invention, the legs (2) are located hinged on the side edges, not on the comers of the body. In this embodiment, the legs move towards each other behind the body, as in the movement of the arms in the eyeglasses, and are locked by the lock (8) mechanism at the unfixed end of the legs (2) to the body (3).
