Description

Refill containers and replacement containers
The present invention relates to a refill container that is used by replacing it with an outer container, and a replacement container that includes a refill container and an outer container.
A refillable container that contains cream or gel-like contents (such as cosmetics) is known, and has an inner container that is a refill container that contains the contents and an outer container that detachably holds the refill container (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
With these types of replacement containers, once the contents have been used up, the refill container can be replaced, allowing the outer container to be reused. Since only the refill container needs to be disposed of after use, compared to disposing of the entire container, this reduces the amount of plastic used and is advantageous in terms of resource conservation, etc.

In such replacement containers, the refill container must be easily detachable from the outer container when replacing it, and must also be easy to attach, but when in use, the refill container must be held in the outer container so that it does not easily come off. Furthermore, from the perspective of resource conservation, the inner container must be as simple in structure as possible.
The object of the present invention is to provide a refill container and a replacement container that are easily replaceable with a simple structure and can be held well in the outer container.
In order to solve the above problems, the refill container of the present invention is a refill container that has a storage space for storing contents and is used by replacing it with an outer container, and includes a refill container body having a bottom surface and side surfaces that partition the storage space and an open top surface, a flange portion that protrudes outward from the side surfaces, a vertical peripheral wall portion that is suspended from the outer edge of the flange portion and is provided to surround the side surfaces of the refill container body, a refill side fitting portion that protrudes from the inner surface of the vertical peripheral wall portion toward the refill container body, and the vertical peripheral wall portion has a refill side fitting portion that fits the refill container body. The refill container is characterized in that it has a plurality of notches that cut out the portion where the refill side fitting portion is provided with a predetermined notch width, and when the refill container body is inserted into the outer container, the refill side fitting portion and the outer container side fitting portion provided on the outer container fit together, so that the refill container is attached to the outer container, and when the refill container is attached to the outer container, the side portion is configured so that a gap that becomes larger from the top surface side toward the bottom surface side is formed between the side portion and the inner surface of the outer container.
In the refill container according to the present invention, it is preferable that the number of the notches provided in the vertical peripheral wall portion is 2 to 12.
In the refill container according to the present invention, it is preferable that the side portion is an inclined wall that is inclined so that the bottom side is closer to the central axis of the refill container body than the top side.
In order to solve the above problem, the replacement container of the present invention is characterized by comprising the above-mentioned refill container and the outer container to which the refill container can be replaceably attached.
According to the present invention, the refill container can be attached to the outer container by fitting the refill side fitting portion to the outer container side fitting portion provided on the outer surface of the outer container. The refill side fitting portion is provided on the inner surface of the vertical wall portion that is suspended from the flange portion that protrudes outward from the side portion of the refill container body. This vertical wall portion is provided with a plurality of notches, and the refill side fitting portion is also cut out by the notches. In addition, when the refill container is attached to the outer container, a gap is formed between the outer surface of the refill container body and the inner surface of the refill storage portion that becomes larger from the top end toward the bottom surface of the refill storage portion. Therefore, when a finger or the like is inserted into the storage space of the refill container body after use and, for example, on the bottom side, the inner surface of the refill container body is pressed toward the outer container, a force can be applied in the direction of lifting the flange portion, with the flange portion on the opposite side to the pressing portion as the fulcrum and the flange portion on the pressing portion side as the point of application across the central axis of the refill container body. The notch prevents the force acting on the point of application from being transmitted to the fulcrum, while the increased width of the notch allows the flange on the point of application to move upward. This allows the flange on the point of application to be efficiently lifted to release the engagement between the refill-side fitting portion and the outer container-side fitting portion. In this way, the present invention provides a refill container and a replacement container that are easily replaceable and can be held well in the outer container with a simple configuration.

Below, an embodiment of the refill container and replacement container according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a side cross-sectional view of the replacement container of this embodiment. As shown in FIG. 1, the replacement container 100 includes a refill container 10, an outer container 20 (outer container), and a lid 30, and contains the refill container 10 in a replaceable manner in the outer container 20. Hereinafter, the direction along the central axis O of the refill container 10 will be referred to as the axial direction, and in this axial direction, the top side of the refill container 10 will be referred to as the upper side, and the bottom surface portion 11a side will be referred to as the lower side. In addition, the radial direction is the direction perpendicular to the central axis O in a plane perpendicular to the central axis O, and the circumferential direction is the direction rotating around the central axis O in this plane.
First, the refill container 10 will be described with reference to Fig. 1, Fig. 2A, and Fig. 2B. Fig. 2A is a side view of the refill container 10, and Fig. 2B is a bottom view. The refill container 10 has a generally cylindrical shape and has a bottom surface portion 11a and a side surface portion 11b, which define a storage space S for storing the contents. In addition, the top surface of the refill container body 11, i.e., the top surface of the storage space S, is open.
The refill container 10 can be obtained, for example, by molding a synthetic resin into a predetermined shape. As the resin constituting the refill container 10, for example, polyethylene terephthalate resin (PET), polyethylene resin (PE (LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE)), polypropylene resin (PP (homopolymer, random copolymer, block copolymer)), polyamide resin (PA), ethylene vinyl alcohol resin (EVOH), etc. are preferably used. The refill container 10 may have a single-layer structure made of these resins, or a laminate structure in which these resins are appropriately laminated. In addition, it is also preferable to use biodegradable resins or recycled resins containing the above-mentioned resin components from the viewpoint of reducing the environmental burden.
In the present invention, the contents stored in the storage space S of the refill container body 11 are not particularly limited, but for example, cream-like or gel-like cosmetics can be suitably stored. The contents may be cream-like or gel-like, or may be solid with no fluidity. Furthermore, in addition to cosmetics, the contents may be various other contents such as medicines such as ointments, adhesives such as glue, paints such as paints, and food such as seasonings.
The bottom surface portion 11a is substantially circular when viewed from below as shown in FIG. 2B. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2A, the bottom surface portion 11a is formed in a spherical or dish-like shape that is convex downward in the central axis direction. The side surface portion 11b is connected to the bottom surface portion 11a. In this embodiment, the side surface portion 11b is a peripheral wall that surrounds the bottom surface portion 11a, and is configured as an inclined wall (inclined surface) that is gently inclined so that the bottom surface portion 11a side is closer to the central axis O than the top surface side. In other words, the bottom surface portion 11a of the refill container body 11 has a smaller diameter than the top surface, and the diameter gradually increases from the bottom surface portion 11a toward the top surface.
As shown in Figs. 1, 2A and 2B, the refill container 10 includes a flange portion 12 provided on the top end of the refill container body 11, a vertical wall portion 13 suspended from the flange portion 12, a refill side fitting portion 14 provided on the inner lower end side of the vertical wall portion 13, and a notch portion 15 that cuts the vertical wall portion 13 with a predetermined notch width. By forming the cross-sectional shape of the top side of the refill container body 11 into a U-shape with an opening at the bottom by the side portion 11b, the flange portion 12 and the vertical wall portion 13, the thickness of the side portion 11b is made thin, and even when the amount of resin is reduced, the strength of the top side is easily maintained. In addition, this U-shaped cross-section portion formed by the side portion 11b, the flange portion 12 and the vertical wall portion 13 functions as an insertion portion 16 into which the tip portion of the mouth portion 23 of the outer container 20 is inserted. The configuration of each portion will be described in more detail below.
In this embodiment, the flange portion 12 protrudes radially outward from the top end of the refill container body 11 and is provided along the outer edge of the opening surface of the refill container body 11 so as to surround the opening surface. The flange portion 12 has a predetermined width in the radial direction and is shaped like an annular plate with a thin thickness in the axial direction. An annular convex rib 12a that protrudes upward is provided on the upper surface of the flange portion 12 (see Figures 2A to 4C). The annular convex rib 12a is provided at approximately the center of the flange portion 12 in the width direction. The annular convex rib 12a is used as a contact ring for a packing seal.
The vertical wall portion 13 is suspended from the outer edge of the flange portion 12 and is provided so as to surround the outer surface of the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11. The refill side fitting portion 14 protrudes from the inner surface of the vertical wall portion 13 toward the refill container body 11 and is configured as an annular convex rib (undercut) extending in the circumferential direction (see partial enlargements in Figures 3B, 4B, and 4C).
2A and 2B, the cutout 15 is a portion of the vertical wall 13 cut out in the axial direction from the bottom end of the vertical wall 13 to the top end by a predetermined cutout width W (see FIG. 2B) and a predetermined cutout length L1 (see FIG. 2A). That is, as shown in FIG. 2A, the cutout 15 is configured as an axially long, approximately rectangular slit provided in the vertical wall 13. However, the cutout width W refers to the circumferential width of the cutout 15. Also, the cutout length L1 refers to the axial length of the cutout 15. When the axial length of the vertical wall 13 (the length from the bottom end to the top end of the vertical wall 13) is L2, it is preferable that the cutout length L1 is L1<L2, preferably L1≦L2×(29/30), and more preferably L1≦L2×(19/20). That is, the cutout portion 15 has a length (cutout length) in the axial direction that does not reach the top end of the vertical wall portion 13, and it is preferable that a remaining portion 17 of the cutout vertical wall portion 13 exists between the outer edge of the flange portion 12 and the cutout portion 15.
However, the notches 15 also cut out the refill-side fitting portion 14 provided on the lower end side of the inner surface of the vertical wall portion 13. In this embodiment, multiple notches 15 are provided in the vertical wall portion 13. Therefore, the refill-side fitting portion 14 is provided intermittently around almost the entire circumference.
FIG. 2B shows an example in which three notches 15 are provided at equal intervals (120°) in the vertical wall portion 13. However, the number of notches 15 in the present invention is not limited to the illustrated example. For example, the number of notches 15 provided in the vertical wall portion 13 can be 2 to 12 inclusive. In particular, 3 to 10 inclusive is preferable, and 4 to 8 inclusive is also preferable.
Next, the outer container 20 will be described with reference to Figure 1. The outer container 20 has an outer container side portion 21 and an outer container side bottom portion 22, and the refill container body 11 is housed inside the space defined by these portions, which is open on the top side. In addition, a mouth portion 23 is provided on the top side of the outer container side portion 21, and the outer peripheral surface of the mouth portion 23 is provided with a screw portion 23a for removably attaching the lid body 30, and an outer container side fitting portion 23b for replaceably attaching the refill container 10.
As shown in FIG. 1, the outer container side side portion 21 and the outer container side bottom portion 22 are configured to be thicker than the side portion 11b and bottom portion 11a of the refill container body 11, respectively. The outer container 20 can be made of, for example, resin, glass, metal, etc. If it is made of resin, it may be made of acrylic resin in addition to the resins listed above. The outer container 20 is a container that is used repeatedly by replacing the refill container 10. By configuring it to be thicker than the refill container body 11, sufficient strength can be achieved by attaching it to the outer container 20 even if the refill container body 11 is not durable enough to be used alone. Therefore, by configuring the refill container body 11 to be thin, the amount of plastic used can be reduced.
The outer surface of the outer container side portion 21 gradually expands in diameter from the outer container side bottom portion 22 toward the lower end of the mouth portion 23. The inner surface of the outer container side portion 21 expands in diameter slightly from the bottom side toward the top side. The gradient of the outer container side portion 21 is extremely small, and is set to be smaller than the gradient of the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11. Therefore, when the refill container body 11 is placed in the outer container 20, a gap G is formed between the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11 and the inner surface of the outer container 20, which becomes larger from the top side toward the bottom portion 11a. Note that the gradient of the outer container side portion 21 here refers to the angle between the central axis O and the outer container side portion 21.
The outer peripheral surface of the mouth portion 23 is provided with the threaded portion 23a and the outer container side fitting portion 23b. As shown in FIG. 1, the outer peripheral surface of the mouth portion 23 is provided with a step portion 23c that is recessed radially inward above the threaded portion 23a. The outer container side fitting portion 23b is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the mouth portion 23 above this step portion 23c. Hereinafter, the portion of the mouth portion 23 above the step portion 23c will be referred to as the tip portion 23d. The tip portion 23d of the mouth portion 23 is formed thinner than the portion below the step portion 23c. The outer container side fitting portion 23b is configured as an annular convex rib (undercut) that protrudes radially outward from the outer surface of the tip portion 23d.
The lid body 30 includes an inner lid portion 31 and an outer lid portion 32 .
The inner lid portion 31 has a top cylindrical shape and includes an inner lid top wall portion 31a and an inner lid peripheral wall portion 31b. In this embodiment, the inner lid top wall portion 31a has a substantially circular plate shape. The inner lid top wall portion 31a covers the top surface of the refill container body 11 when the refill container 10 is attached to the outer container 20. The inner lid peripheral wall portion 31b is suspended from the outer edge of the inner lid top wall portion 31a and is provided so as to surround the outer edge of the inner lid top wall portion 31a. A threaded portion 31c is provided on the inner surface of the inner lid peripheral wall portion 31b. The threaded portion 31c is screwed into the threaded portion 23a on the mouth portion 23 side of the outer container 20, so that the lid body 30 is detachably attached to the mouth portion 23 of the outer container 20. An inner lid side engaging portion 31d is provided on the outer surface of the inner lid peripheral wall portion 31b, protruding radially outward at its lower end portion, for engaging the exterior lid portion 32 with the inner lid portion 31. A packing 33 having a planar shape substantially the same as the inner shape of the inner lid top wall portion 31a is provided on the inner surface side of the inner lid top wall portion 31a. The packing 33 abuts against the upper surface of the annular protruding rib 12a provided on the flange portion 12 of the refill container body 11.
The outer lid portion 32 is a cylindrical shape with a top that is slightly larger than the inner lid portion 31, and includes an outer lid top wall portion 32a and an outer lid peripheral wall portion 32b. In this embodiment, the outer lid top wall portion 32a is generally disk-shaped, similar to the inner lid top wall portion 31a. Similarly to the inner lid peripheral wall portion 31b, the outer lid peripheral wall portion 32b is suspended from the outer edge of the outer lid top wall portion 32a and is provided so as to surround the outer edge of the outer lid top wall portion 32a. The inner surface of the outer lid peripheral wall portion 32b is provided with an outer lid side engagement portion 32c that is configured as a radially recessed recess. When this outer lid side engagement portion 32c engages with the inner lid side engagement portion 31d, the inner lid portion 31 and the outer lid portion 32 are integrated to form the lid body 30.
The inner lid portion 31 and the outer lid portion 32 can be made of the same material as the outer container 20. The inner lid portion 31 and the outer lid portion 32 may be made of the same material, or may be made of different materials. For example, it is preferable that the outer lid portion 32 has various designs depending on the type of product or each time a specific product is renewed, and the inner lid portion 31 is a common component regardless of the product.
The procedure for removing the refill container 10 from the outer container 20 in the replacement container 100 configured as described above will be described below. Note that the refill container 10 is removed from the outer container 20 when the contents have been used up, there is essentially no content in the storage space S of the refill container body 11, and the refill container 10 is empty.
First, from the state shown in Fig. 1, the lid 30 is turned in the reverse screw direction and removed to obtain the state shown in Fig. 3A. At this time, as shown in the partially enlarged view of Fig. 3B, the tip 23d of the mouth 23 is inserted into the above-mentioned U-shaped cross-section insertion portion 16 composed of the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11, the flange portion 12, and the vertical peripheral wall portion 13, the lower surface of the flange portion 12 abuts against the top surface of the tip 23d of the mouth 23, the convex portion of the refill side fitting portion 14 is positioned below the convex portion of the outer container side fitting portion 23b, and the two are in a fitted state.
Then, insert a finger or the like inside the empty refill container body 11 and press the side portion 11b against the side portion 21 of the outer container, for example, at the position indicated by the white arrow in Figure 3A. The position at which the side portion 11b is pressed is arbitrary, but pressing it at a position closer to the bottom portion 11a allows the refill container 10 to be easily removed from the outer container 20 with less force. For this reason, the inside of the refill container body 11 may be provided with a marking to indicate the area to be pressed, for example. Markings to indicate the area to be pressed may be various symbols such as a circle, star, arrow, or letters such as "press here", or a combination of these symbols and letters.
When the side portion 11b is pressed toward the outer container side portion 21 at the pressing position, the side portion 11b tries to move toward the outer container side portion 21 by an amount of movement corresponding to the width (Gw) of the gap G at the pressing position. At this time, the pressing position becomes the force point, and the refill container body 11 tries to tilt (rotate) at a predetermined angle corresponding to the amount of movement (Gw) within the outer container 20 at the abutment point between the flange portion 12 of the refill container body 11 and the tip portion 23d of the mouth portion 23 of the outer container 20 on the opposite side of the pressing position across the central axis O (see the white arrow in Figure 4A). At that time, the abutment point between the flange portion 12 on the opposite side of the fulcrum across the central axis O and the tip portion 23d of the mouth portion 23 of the outer container 20 becomes the point of action, and a force that tries to lift the flange portion 12 upward acts at the point of action. Here, the vertical wall portion 13 is provided with a plurality of the above-mentioned notches 15, and the force acting on the point of application is divided by the notches 15 and is not transmitted to the fulcrum side. Therefore, when the side surface portion 11b is pressed at the above-mentioned pressing position, first, the notch width of the notches 15 widens and the flange portion 12 moves upward. When the flange portion 12 is lifted upward, the vertical wall portion 13 also moves upward accordingly, and the convex portion of the refill side fitting portion 14 passes over the convex portion of the outer container side fitting portion 23b, and the fitting state between the two is released.
As shown in FIG. 2B, the refill container 10 of this embodiment has three cutouts 15, and the vertical wall portion 13 (and the refill side fitting portion 14) is divided into three by the cutouts 15. For convenience, these divided areas are referred to as the first vertical wall portion 13a, the second vertical wall portion 13b, and the third vertical wall portion 13c. Of these three areas, the area on the side where the above-mentioned action point is located is assumed to be the first vertical wall portion 13a. When the fitting between the refill side fitting portion 14 and the outer container side fitting portion 23b is released in the first vertical wall portion 13a, the fitting between the refill side fitting portion 14 and the outer container side fitting portion 23b also loosens in the remaining two areas, allowing the fitting between the two to be easily released. Alternatively, even if the mating state between the refill side mating portion 14 and the outer container side mating portion 23b at the first vertical peripheral wall portion 13a is released, if the mating state is maintained in other areas, the mating state between the refill side mating portion 14 and the outer container side mating portion 23b at the point of action can be released by appropriately selecting a site that will be the point of action and repeating the same procedure as described above.
As described above, the refill container 10 of this embodiment has a simple configuration in which the notch 15 is provided in the vertical wall portion 13, the refill side fitting portion 14 is intermittently fitted into the outer container side fitting portion 23b, and a gap G is provided between the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11 and the inner surface of the outer container 20 when the refill container body 11 is housed in the outer container 20, which increases from the top surface side toward the bottom surface portion 11a. This allows the refill container 10 to be easily removed from the outer container 20 with little force by utilizing the principle of leverage. In addition, in the refill container 10 of this embodiment, the flange portion 12 is provided along the outer edge of the top end of the refill container body 11 so as to surround the opening surface, and although the vertical wall portion 13 and the refill side fitting portion 14 are also interrupted by the notch 15, they are provided so as to surround the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11 over almost the entire circumference. By inserting the tip 23d of the mouth 23 of the outer container 20 into the insertion portion 16 formed by these components, the refill container body 11 can be held well in the outer container 20.
In addition, in the above embodiment, the notch 15 is provided on the refill container 10 side, and the side portion 11b is a peripheral wall surrounding the bottom portion 11a, and is an inclined wall that is gently inclined so that the bottom portion 11a side is closer to the central axis O than the top side. This allows the above effect to be obtained by providing a gap G between the outer container side portion 21 and the outer container 20, which becomes larger from the top side toward the bottom portion 11a, without changing the configuration of the outer container 20 that is already on the market.
The replacement container 100 and the refill container 10 of the present embodiment described above are one aspect of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and can be modified as appropriate within the scope of the present invention. For example, in the above embodiment, the side surface 11b of the refill container 10 is the inclined surface as described above, but the side surface 11b may not be an inclined surface, and the outer container side side surface 21 may be an inclined wall inclined so that the outer container side bottom surface 22 side is closer to the central axis O than the mouth 23 side. In this case, too, a gap G is formed between the side surface 11b of the refill container 10 and the outer container side side surface 21, which becomes larger from the top surface side toward the bottom surface 11a, and the above-mentioned effect can be obtained. Note that the outer container side side surface 21 is also slightly inclined, but as long as the gap G is formed, there is no particular limitation on whether the outer container side side surface 21 is an inclined surface or not, and the direction of the inclination, etc.
Furthermore, the gap G needs to be large enough so that when the side surface portion 11b is pressed as described above, the convex portion of the refill side fitting portion can overcome the convex portion of the outer container side fitting portion 23b.
In the above embodiment, the flange portion 12 is provided on the top end of the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11, but the flange portion 12 is not limited to the top end of the side portion 11b, and may be provided below the top end of the side portion 11b so as to protrude radially outward from the outer surface. In the above embodiment, the screw portion 23a is provided on the mouth portion 23 of the outer container 20, and the lid body 30 is removably attached to the outer container 20. However, for example, by providing the flange portion 12 below the top end of the side portion 11b, a screw portion may be provided on the outer peripheral surface of the side portion 11b, and the lid body 30 may be removably attached to the refill container 10. However, by providing the flange portion 12 on the top end of the side portion 11b of the refill container body 11, it becomes easier to reduce the amount of plastic used.
Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the bottom surface 11a of the refill container body 11 is dish-shaped or spherical, convex downward in the axial direction. By making the bottom surface 11a in this shape, the refill container 10 cannot be placed directly on a support surface such as a desk in a stable state with the opening surface facing axially upward. This makes it possible to encourage the refill container 10 to be attached to an outer container 20 for use. However, the bottom surface 11a of the refill container body 11 may be flat, and the shape of the bottom surface 11a is not particularly limited. Furthermore, although the refill container 10 is mainly assumed to be made of plastic, it may also be made of paper with a water-resistant or oil-resistant coating.
