Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : un premier dispositif terminal envoie un message de demande d'établissement de communication directe à un second dispositif terminal, le message de demande d'établissement de communication directe étant utilisé pour indiquer la capacité de commutation de trajet du premier dispositif terminal; et le premier dispositif terminal reçoit un message de réponse d'établissement de communication directe envoyé par le second dispositif terminal, le message de réponse d'établissement de communication directe étant utilisé pour indiquer la capacité de commutation de trajet du second dispositif terminal de sorte que l'interaction des capacités de commutation de trajet peut être effectuée entre les deux dispositifs terminaux, ce qui permet de réduire l'apparition d'une défaillance de commutation de trajet.
