Abstract

The present disclosure provides an event reporting method and apparatus, a user-side device, a network-side device, and a storage medium. According to a protocol agreement or an indication of the network-side device, the user-side device does not send an event report when detecting an event configured by the network-side device. Since the user-side device does not send the event report, the network-side device does not trigger configuration of an uplink positioning reference signal of the user-side device when not receiving the event report, so that the user-side device does not receive uplink positioning reference signal configuration information. Therefore, the power consumption generated by the user-side device sending the event report and receiving the uplink positioning reference signal configuration information is saved, and the power consumption of the user-side device is reduced.
