Abstract
La présente invention concerne des procédés de production d'éthanol comprenant la saccharification d'un matériau cellulosique ou contenant de l'amidon et la fermentation du matériau saccharifié avec un micro-organisme de fermentation pour produire de l'éthanol. L'organisme de fermentation est la souche MBG5225 de Saccharomyces cerevisiae (déposée sous le No Y-68199 dans la Collection de Culture de Service de recherche agricole (NRRL), Illinois 61604 USA), la souche MBG5227 de Saccharomyces cerevisiae (déposée sous le No Y-68200 dans la Collection de Culture de Service de recherche agricole (NRRL), Illinois 61604 USA), la souche MBG5307 de Saccharomyces cerevisiae (déposée sous le No Y-68201 dans la Collection de Culture de Service de recherche agricole (NRRL), Illinois 61604 USA), la souche MBG5318 de Saccharomyces cerevisiae (déposée sous le No Y-68202 dans la Collection de Culture de Service de recherche agricole (NRRL), Illinois 61604 USA) ou un organisme de fermentation qui a des propriétés qui sont identiques ou quasiment identiques à celles de Saccharomyces cerevisiae MBG5225, MBG5227, MBG5307 ou MBG5318.
