Description
A HEAT PUMP DISHWASHER AND THE CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to a heat pump dishwasher wherein the refrigerant fluid leakage is effectively discharged, and to the control method thereof.
Heat pumps are effectively used as a drying system in dishwashers. In the heat pump dishwashers the heat pump comprises components such as compressor, evaporator, condenser, capillary tube wherein the refrigerant fluid is circulated. Today, R600 (isobutane), which is also flammable, is used as a refrigerant fluid. Said refrigerant fluid is widely used in the heat pumps due to the ability thereof to change state even at low temperatures.
If there is a refrigerant fluid leakage in the heat pump system, it is possible that the dishwasher and the environment wherein the dishwasher is installed may be damaged due to the ignition and burning of the refrigerant fluid with the operation of the dishwasher. Since the heat pump is disposed in the dishwasher body, any possible refrigerant fluid leakage condenses in the body. This increases the possibility of ignition of the refrigerant fluid due to any reason, such as an electric arc. In the experiments carried out during the production phase, such situations are encountered.
In the state of the art Chinese Utility Model Application Document No. CN205066272, an ambient cooler wherein a flammable refrigerant fluid is used comprises a mechanism to discharge a possible refrigerant fluid leakage.
In another state of the art Chinese Utility Model Application Document No. CN201520363768, a heat pump is disclosed, which prevents the formation of a flammable concentration volume in the environment, even if a flammable refrigerant fluid leakage occurs.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a heat pump dishwasher wherein the refrigerant fluid leakage is effectively discharged.
The dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a
heat pump which is provided in the body and which has at least one compressor, at least one evaporator and at least one condenser; and at least one blowing mechanism which is disposed in the body, which enables the refrigerant fluid leaking into the body to be discharged from the body and which is operated first when the dishwasher is turned on.
In this embodiment of the present invention, when the dishwasher is operated, first the blowing mechanism is operated before the washing process. Thus, in case the refrigerant fluid leaks into the dishwasher body as a result of a leakage, first the blowing mechanism is operated for safety purposes and the flammable refrigerant fluid is enabled to be discharged from the dishwasher body.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the blowing mechanism is operated before the washing program. In this embodiment, in the heat pump dishwasher, in case the refrigerant fluid leaks into the dishwasher body as a result of a leakage, first the blowing mechanism is operated at the beginning of the washing program for safety purposes. Thus, the flammable refrigerant fluid is enabled to be discharged from the dishwasher body.
In another embodiment of the present invention, when the power comes back on after an outage, the blowing mechanism is operated again, and the refrigerant fluid leaking into the dishwasher body in case of a possible refrigerant fluid leakage is enabled to be discharged.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the blowing mechanism is at least one fan. In the embodiment of the present invention, the fan or fans allowing the refrigerant fluid to pass into the vapor phase and provided on the evaporator, which is a part of the heat pump, is/are used as the blowing mechanism.
In another embodiment of the present invention, when the power comes back on after an outage, the blowing mechanism is operated before the washing program starts, especially before the heat pump is activated, so as to enable the possible flammable refrigerant fluid leakage to be discharged from the dishwasher. In the embodiment of the present invention, the blowing mechanism is operated before the heat pump is activated.
By means of the present invention, in a heat pump dishwasher, a possible refrigerant fluid leaking into the body is discharged from the dishwasher body. Thus, the risk of ignition due to the accumulation of the leaked refrigerant fluid with increased concentration in the dishwasher body is eliminated, and any damage to the dishwasher and the environment is prevented.
A heat pump dishwasher realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
Figure 1 - is the perspective view of a dishwasher body.
Figure 2 - is the front view of the dishwasher body.
Figure 3 - is the rear view of the dishwasher body.
The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
1. Dishwasher
2. Body
3. Heat pump
4. Blowing mechanism
5. Evaporator
The dishwasher (1) comprises a body (2); a heat pump (3) which is provided in the body (2) and which has at least one compressor, at least one evaporator (5) and at least one condenser; and at least one blowing mechanism (4) which is disposed in the body (2), which enables the refrigerant fluid leaking into the body (2) to be discharged from the body (2) and which is operated first when the dishwasher (1) is turned on (Figure 1).
In this embodiment of the present invention, when the dishwasher (1) is operated, first the blowing mechanism (4) is operated before the washing process. Thus, in case the refrigerant fluid leaks into the body (2) as a result of a leakage, first the blowing mechanism (4) is operated for safety purposes and the flammable refrigerant fluid is enabled to be discharged from the body (2).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the blowing mechanism (4) is operated before the washing program. In this embodiment, in the dishwasher (1), in case the refrigerant fluid leaks into the body (2) as a result of a leakage, first the blowing mechanism (4) is operated at the beginning of the washing program for safety purposes. Thus, the flammable refrigerant fluid is enabled to be discharged from the body (2).
In another embodiment of the present invention, the blowing mechanism (4) is operated before the heat pump (3) is activated. Thus, the refrigerant fluid accumulating in the body (2) as a result of a possible refrigerant fluid leakage is enabled to be discharged from the dishwasher (1) by means of the blowing mechanism (4).
In another embodiment of the present invention, when the power comes back on after an outage, the blowing mechanism (4) is operated again, and the refrigerant fluid leaking into the body (2) in case of a possible refrigerant fluid leakage is enabled to be discharged.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the blowing mechanism (4) comprises at least one fan. In the embodiment of the present invention, the fan or fans allowing the refrigerant fluid to pass into the vapor phase and provided on the evaporator (5), which is a part of the heat pump (3), is/are used as the blowing mechanism (4). In this embodiment, in case of flammable refrigerant fluid leakage which may occur in the heat pump (3) system, the refrigerant fluid leakage is enabled to be discharged by using the evaporator (5) fans which are already used in the heat pump dishwasher (1). Thus, there is no cost increase since no additional component is used. Consequently, product safety is increased and risks are mitigated without the use of any additional components (Figure 2 and Figure 3).
In another embodiment of the present invention, when the power comes back on after an outage, the blowing mechanism (4) is operated before the washing program starts, especially before the heat pump (3) is activated, so as to enable the possible flammable refrigerant fluid leakage to be discharged from the dishwasher
(1). In the embodiment of the present invention, the blowing mechanism (4) is operated before the heat pump (3) is activated.
The control method of the present invention comprises the step of operating the blowing mechanism (4) when the dishwasher is operated. In an embodiment of the control method of the present invention, the blowing mechanism (4) is operated before the washing program starts.
In another embodiment of the control method of the present invention, the blowing mechanism (4) is operated before the heat pump (3) is activated.
In yet another embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the step of first operating the blowing mechanism (4) when the power comes back on after an outage.
By means of the present invention, in a heat pump dishwasher (1), a possible refrigerant fluid leaking into the body (2) is discharged from the body (2). Thus, the risk of ignition due to the accumulation of the leaked refrigerant fluid with increased concentration in the body (2) is eliminated, and any damage to the dishwasher (1) and the environment is prevented.
