Description

SLIDING TOILET SEAT LID
Subject of the Invention
The invention relates to a toilet seat lid, which permits access to the toilet bowl or enables the toilet bowl to be covered by moving inside the toilet seat.
State of the Art
The use of the toilet bowls is frequently preferred today in the toilet rooms and the bathrooms. A seat and a seat lid are present in every toilet, irrespective of the type and the model of the toilet. The toilet seat directly contacts the toilet surface and generates an area on which the user may sit while using the toilet. The toilet seat sets further comprise a lid, which enables the toilet to be covered when not in use. The toilet seat and the lid are fixed on the toilet via their rear portions and open or close by performing a rotational movement about the same axis. More specifically, they open or close by performing a rotational movement about their connection points.
With the advancing technology, the toilet seat sets have today gained the ability to move automatically. The toilet seat lids with automatic motion are preferred due to being hygienic and comfortable as it is not necessary to contact the same during the use. However, the power required to raise a toilet seat lid, which is positioned on a toilet seat, by its rearmost point with the help of a motor is considerably high. The requirement for a motor of such power brings about certain design limitations. In addition, the buffers are positioned between the seat and the lid and the undesirable splashes onto the toilet seat may occur through the space formed due to the presence of the buffers. Another problem of hygiene caused by the existing toilet seat lids is that the surface of the toilet seat lid that faces into the toilet bowl when the toilet seat lid is closed contacts the user when the toilet seat lid is opened, which is an undesirable situation. In the sliding toilet seat lid according to the invention, the action of covering the toilet bowl is realized by the sliding parts that perform a sliding movement inside the toilet seat, and by this means, the problem of discomfort resulting from the contact with the toilet seat lid is eliminated, the hygiene problems caused by the splashes onto the seat portion are eliminated and the power requirement during the initial movement of the toilet seat lid is minimized.
