Description
METHOD AND BIDET SYSTEM WHERE THE STANDING WATER INSIDE THE BIDET LINE IS DRAINED PRIOR TO USE
Subject of the Invention
The invention relates to a method and a bidet system, wherein the water inside the bidet water line is enabled to be drained prior to the use of the bidet system by a user for the purpose of cleansing.
State of the Art
The cleansing after the use of a toilet is of great importance from the perspective of personal hygiene. A bidet apparatus opening into the toilet bowl is present for this purpose in the toilets frequently used today. The water is supplied for use via said bidet apparatus and the user is enabled to perform the personal cleansing. The water is carried from the clean water line to the bidet apparatus by means of a water line, more particularly, a tube or a hose. Upon the water flow from the bidet apparatus being started, the water flows via the bidet nozzle into the toilet bowl and is supplied for use by the user. In the tests and experiments conducted, the microbiological growth was determined to occur in the standing water inside the plastic hoses that convey the clean water, in case the bidet apparatus is not used. When the user subsequently starts the water flow from the bidet apparatus, said growth is transmitted to the user and this leads to the undesired problems of hygiene and health.
With the method and system according to the invention, the standing water in the bidet line is enabled to be drained prior to use, and in this way, the microbiological growth is enabled to be removed.
Object of the Invention
An object of the invention is to develop a method and a bidet system, wherein the standing water in the bidet line is enabled to be drained prior to the use.
Another object of the invention is to develop a method and a bidet system, wherein the standing water in the bidet line is enabled to be drained into the toilet bowl after it is detected that the toilet has started to be used by a user or the toilet is about to start to be used by a user.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The invention relates to a method and a bidet system, wherein the water inside the bidet water line is enabled to be drained prior to the use of the bidet system by a user for the purpose of cleansing. More particularly, the invention relates to a method and a bidet system, wherein the standing water in the bidet line is removed from the bidet line and is thus prevented from contacting the user, by way of drainage of the water in the bidet system upon the detection of the presence of a user and/or at predefined intervals.
In its most basic form, the method according to the invention is characterized by draining the standing water in the bidet line and enabling the clean water to reach the bidet nozzle to be used by the user for the purpose of cleansing, prior to the user performing the cleansing, in case it is detected that toilet has started to be used and/or in case the user is detected prior to use and/or in case it is detected that the bidet system has not been used for a predefined duration.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the drainage of the standing water in the bidet line is realized by way of automatically activating, for a predefined duration, the valve that controls the flow of the water in the bidet line. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the standing water in the bidet line is drained into the toilet bowl.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the detection of a user prior to and/or during the use of the toilet is achieved as a result of the user contacting and/or intervening with and/or approaching the toilet and/or any operative component associated with the toilet.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the water in the bidet line is enabled to be drained,
• after the user sits on the toilet seat and/or
• after the user enters the ambience where the toilet is located and/or
• after the user approaches the toilet and/or
• after the user raises the toilet seat lid.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, last time the bidet system was used is recorded and the drainage of the water, in a quantity predefined according to the conditions of the installation, is enabled take place into the toilet bowl after a predefined duration, which may be set according to the preferences and the needs of the user and/or the requirements of the installation.
The system according to the invention comprises in its most basic form
• at least one electronically controlled valve, which enables to control the flow of the water in the bidet line, and
• at least one control unit, which enables the electronically controlled valve to permit the water flow and thus enables the drainage of the standing water in the bidet line and enables the clean water to reach the bidet nozzle to be used by the user for the purpose of cleansing, prior to the user performing the cleansing, in case it is detected that toilet has started to be used and/or in case the user is detected prior to use and/or in case it is detected that the bidet system has not been used for a predefined duration.
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises at least one sensor, which enables to detect that the toilet has started to be used and/or detect the user prior to use. Said
sensor is a sensor detecting the presence and/or proximity of a user. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said sensor is an optical sensor.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor is a sensor, which is positioned on the toilet seat and/or under the toilet seat and which detects that the user has sat on the toilet seat.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sensor is a sensor, which enables to detect that the toilet seat lid has been opened.
