[01] In general, the present invention belongs to the poultry sector, and refers, more specifically, to an equipment and method for hanging birds whose purpose is to collect the animal previously positioned vertically, and place it suspended on guides to proceed with other processes.
Estado da técnica state of the art
[02] In 2015, Brazil surpassed China and became the second largest producer of chicken meat in the world, behind only the United States (USA). Figures from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) indicate that Brazilian production reached 13.14 million tons that year, a volume 5.4% higher than in 2014 and the highest ever recorded in the country's history. No less than 5.8 billion chicken heads were slaughtered in the national territory.
[03] Despite producing less chicken than the United States, the country has been the biggest force in the international trade of this product for some time. Of every eleven kilos exported globally, approximately four kilos originate in Brazil. The national product is now found in 150 countries on all continents.
[04] Therefore, the slaughter and industrialization of poultry is notoriously one of the activities that most sickens workers in the country. Hundreds of thousands of employees in the sector often deal with several risk factors: Constant exposure to knives, saws and other sharp instruments; Performing repetitive movements that can lead to serious injuries and illnesses; Psychological pressure to deal with the high pace imposed by the production lines; Journeys often exceeding the daily limit established by law; Closed environment, suffocating and very cold.
[05] In April 2013, new rules were approved to improve working conditions in slaughterhouses and slaughterhouses in the country. As a result of pressure from various entities to reduce health risks related to the sector, Regulatory Standard (NR) 36 established several new guidelines for the operation of refrigerating industries. The following stand out: The granting of breaks distributed throughout the journey for workers to rest their muscles; Ergonomic and safety adaptations in the mats and other machinery in the factories; Standards to reduce workers' exposure to excessively cold environments, as well as to alleviate thermal discomfort; Adequacy of workstations so that, whenever possible, sitting work is done alternately with standing work.
[06] The production of chickens has gained, in recent decades, more and more relevance in the menu of Brazilian agribusiness products. It is a sector that, in 15 years, has doubled its production volume, quadrupled exports and gained increasing weight in the trade balance - fresh chicken was the fourth most exported product by Brazil in 2015.
[07] However, several links in the poultry production chain still do not guarantee workers sufficiently dignified and safe employment and income conditions. The situation of integrated poultry farmers, chicken catchers and industry workers shows this reality, and exemplifies how the fruits of the sector's growth are distributed in a very heterogeneous way.
[08] To face this scenario of inequality in the chicken production chain, the claims of poultry farmers and workers need to gain the agenda of corporate and government policies for the sector. This opens up a gap for the development of equipment and machines to contribute to workers in the sector and companies in the poultry production sector.
[09] In view of this, some technologies provide technical solutions to these problems, as presented in patent document n s PI 0608515-6 - “Method and device for processing slaughtered poultry carcass parts”, which discloses a conveyor device that has at least one carrier and a conveyor path, the carrier being displaceable in a transport direction along the conveyor path and being designed to carry a carcass part. Use is also made of a wing processing station placed along the conveyor path. With the help of the device a part of carcass is fed to the wing processing station, whose carcass part is processed there, while the carcass part is loaded by the carrier. At the wing processing station at least one bone belonging to the wing upper or lower limb is exposed over part of its length in the vicinity of the elbow, resulting in the preparation of a tulip, while the wing upper limb is still attached to the body. .
[010] Document BR 1 12015005655-5 - “Method for suspending birds with body, neck, legs and possibly head and feet and apparatus for suspending birds with body, neck, legs and possibly head and feet”, reveals a sequence of steps: a) each bird is placed in a retainer with its legs and/or feet projecting from a first opening in the retainer and its neck at one end of the neck, b) the orientation of the feet is determined, c) the bird is rotated around an axis of rotation extending between the first opening and the neck end until a predetermined orientation of the legs and/or feet is reached and d) the feet or legs of the bird are arranged in a tie on conveyor. Rotation can be achieved either by rotating the retainer or by rotating the bird in the retainer. Novidades e objetivos da invenção Novelties and objectives of the invention
[012] Due to the occurrence of numerous problems still existing in the state of the art, an equipment and method for hanging birds is presented, which aims to collect the processed and slaughtered animal, coming from containers and positioning it on guides to continue the other processes .
[013] For this, the equipment comprises a container in the shape of a rectangular mug with the two smaller ends in a rounded shape, and at the height a funneled shape according to the anatomy of the bird, which will accommodate it so that it does not rotate. This set is formed by a base, two fixed sides where the pins and articulation springs will be and two more moving parts that, when pressed by the guides, will suspend the bird up to the guides.
[014] The said guides for hanging birds are positioned in such a way that with the help of the articulated container the birds are hung by the legs, this set being formed by guides that will rub the articulated container, plus two guides that enter under the drumsticks and suspend the bird, and simultaneously a “V” device adjusts the positioning of the legs according to the guides to which it will be hung.
[015] With the development of this equipment of articulated containers and guides, it is intended to automate the hanging of birds in slaughterhouses, a task that causes illnesses at work, mainly injuries due to repetitive exercise.
[016] However, the first phase of the invention consists of receiving the whole birds, all positioned with the neck down, which will be accommodated inside the articulated container, which is attached to a conveyor belt that will transport and rotate the birds , so that they are all the same position. In the second phase, the articulated container advances on two guides that will articulate it so that the legs of the birds project upwards, at this moment two more guides enter under the drumsticks and suspend the bird upwards, followed by a third guide attached to the upper part of the system will open the legs so that the bird is prepared to enter the two pairs of guides that the birds will be hung on. In the third phase, a device with a chain and synchronized draggers picks up the birds that are already hanging and will be transported to the conveyor belt, ending the hanging process. [017] Alternatively, there is the model of guides with joints, predicting differences in the heights of the birds. And optionally, other equipment is revealed with containers with a lifting mechanism equipped with sinuous articulated segments fixed to springs and with stops, not requiring lateral contact guides and drumstick guides.

Detailed description of the invention [019] According to Figures 1 to 16, represent the equipment (60) equipped with a metallic structure, and comprising a mat (601) equipped with a vision camera (63) and mechanical actuators (602) and which holds containers (61) distributed over the entire surface coupled by malta cross (610) connected to fixing bases (61 1), being moved by an electric motor and power transmission elements; side contact guides (64), drumstick guides (65), “V” device (66) and joint guides (67).
[020] The treadmill (601) has at least four mechanical actuators (602), two of which are equipped with supports (604) and two with pins (603), both positioned sequentially, close to the vision camera (63) that performs the monitoring of the positioning of the birds coming from the containers (61 ).
[021] The equipment (60) is equipped with a metallic structure superimposed on the mat (601), which includes the lateral contact guides (64), the drumstick guides (65), a "V" device (66) and the gasket guides (67). The lateral contact guides (64) are installed longitudinally in the structure and are formed by a series of rolling elements. The drumstick guides (65) are installed, above the side guides (64), and longitudinally in the structure, and are formed by a flat segment with concave ends. At the top, superimposed on the guide (65) and centralized, the device "V" is installed above the containers (61). Therefore, the joint guides (67) are installed longitudinally in the structure, and are predominantly formed by pairs of circular metal bars supported on supports.
[022] The first phase of the invention is based on receiving the whole birds, all positioned with the neck down, which will be accommodated inside the container (61), according to the two possible positions shown in Figure 17. In both positions (A and B) the legs will be up and the neck down. In position (A) the chest is positioned to the left side and in position (B) the chest is positioned to the right side. For the process, both positions are admissible, because in the subsequent step, the vision camera (63) will differentiate one position of the other and will make the decision to place all combinations in position (A).
[023] The containers (61) are coupled to the conveyor belt (601) to lead the birds to the joint guides (67), as shown in Figure 18.
[024] The fixing bases (61 1) of the containers do not rotate, this rotation is limited by side guides (62) that keep them immobile during the course, except in the area where the mechanical actuators equipped with pins (603) are positioned , which are activated if there is a need for rotation; such guides (62) are below the containers (61) and are arranged throughout the path of the conveyor belt (601), except for the exception previously mentioned. As illustrated in Figures 19 to 26, the actuators with pins (603) will enter the Maltese cross frieze (610) and will make the container (61) rotate in 2 passes of 90°, causing it to convert into a position of 180°. This rotation is necessary to convert the bird coming from the container (61) in position (B) to position (A). If the bird is already in position (A), the actuators equipped with supports (604) are activated only to prevent the movement of the container (61), limiting the rotation, as shown in Figures 27 to 34.
[025] A vision camera (63) will determine the activation or not of the mechanical actuators (602), recognizing whether the bird is in position (A) or (B). The camera (63) will inspect all the birds and command the actuators (602) to organize the birds for the next process, as shown in Figure 35.
[026] In the second phase, the container (61) advances over the lateral contact guides (64) that make the articulation, or compression, of the walls, as shown in Figure 36. With this, the legs of the birds project upwards as shown Figure 37. [027] Then, the guides (65) go under the thighs and suspend the bird, where in Figure 38 it is possible to understand the lifting of the bird in 3 steps. In step 1 the bird is free in the container (61) but adjusted to the rounded conical shape. In step 2 the bird is compressed in the container (61) by entering the region where the joint is activated; at that moment the joints are exposed and elevated. In step 3, with the bird compressed, the guides (65) enter under the drumstick and begin to suspend the bird. Figure 39 shows the cross-section of how the drumstick guides (65) carry out the suspension of the bird.
[028] Next, a “V” device (66) opens the legs so that the joints of the bird's thighs are positioned/centralized to enter the guides of the joints (67) where they will be hung; it is possible to understand the operation of the device by Figures 40 to 43.
[029] In the third phase, a dragging device (68) with chain and synchronized draggers pushes the birds that are already hanging and that can be transported to the overhead conveyor, ending the hanging process as shown in Figures 44 and 45.
A geometria do dispositivo é melhor compreendido nas Figuras 46 e 47. [030] The container (61) consists of a device with a rectangular shape with rounded vertices, both at the base and at the top, and from top to bottom there is a conicity (tapered profile). The geometry of the device takes this form to anatomically accommodate the bird, preventing it from turning during the process. The device geometry is better understood in Figures 46 and 47.
[031] This set consists of a fixed central base (614), two mobile sides (615), connecting pins (613) and springs (612). The movable sides (615) are free to slide in the longitudinal direction of the connecting pins (613). The compression springs ensure that the container (61) remains normally open (according to the rest position in Figure 46). When pressure is applied to the sides (615), the device compresses together with the springs (612) that restrict its position. This lateral pressure will be exerted when it is necessary to expose the joints of the birds for their subsequent hanging, pressure that compresses the bird and forces it to have the desired movement (Figure 37).
[032] As illustrated by Figures 48 to 50, each container (61) is fixed to the Maltese cross (610) by fastening elements, said Maltese cross (610) being interconnected to the fastening base (61 1) by shaft means with freedom of rotation juxtaposed to bearings that allow the movement of the container (61); said base (611) is provided with at least 4 fixing pins to the elements conveyors, preferably chains, which with the aid of mechanical elements keep the container firm (61).
[033] The guides for hanging birds, consist of a set of guides positioned in such a way that with the help of the container (61) the task of hanging the birds by the legs can be done. In summary, this set is formed by guides (64) that will compress the container (61) (Figure 36) and will expose the joints of the birds (Figure 37 and 38), and the guides (65) go under the drumsticks and suspend the bird (Figure 38 and 39). Then a “V” device (66) adjusts the positioning of the legs (centers the joints and opens the legs), ensuring the perfect fit in the hanging guides (Figures 40 to 43). The device (66) rotates around an axis (661) that is supported on bearings (664), and a spring (663), fixed by the support (662), always keeps it in a predetermined position, its geometry and operation are better understood by Figure 51 .
[034] Alternatively, an option is proposed for the guide (67), being self-adjustable and aiming to hang the bird regardless of its height range. The self-adjusting guide has freedom of movement, due to the articulations (673), between the minimum position (Figure 52) and the maximum position (Figure 53). The structure's own weight keeps it normally in the minimum position and oscillates towards the maximum position as the bird makes contact (Figure 54); after the bird passes through the oscillator segment (671), by gravity, it returns to the initial position. In a slaughterhouse, birds normally maintain a standard size, but it is not uncommon to have disparities between them, so this optional model was developed to self-compensate, regardless of whether the bird is taller or shorter (taking into account measuring the bird from head to toe). This makes it possible to keep the fixed segment (672), as shown in Figure 55, always in the same position. Otherwise, every time you notice the difference in height of the birds, it would be necessary to make a manual adjustment, so with this device it becomes automatic adjustment. According to Figure 56, said oscillating segment (671) is connected by articulations (673) to the fixed segment (672), and the geometry of the segments is made with metal bars, preferably circular, to facilitate the slipping of the bird's legs, with openings to facilitate the entry of the legs in the guides and the oscillating segment (671) is equipped, as shown in Figure 57, with an arch (674) bent upwards so as not to have contact with the fowl (69) of the bird, preventing it from being sheared or damaged.
[035] Nevertheless, another model is proposed for the equipment, as shown in Figures 58 to 64, which does not require lateral contact guides (64) and drumstick guides (65). To this end, it has containers (61) with a lifting mechanism equipped with sinuous segments (617) articulated and fixed to the base by springs (616); and yet, it has stops (618) connected to the segments (617), which, when in contact with the trapezoidal plate (605), raise the respective segment, extending the spring and directing the legs of the birds upwards, simultaneously, with the aid of the "V" device (66), to the joint guides to proceed with the processing steps, as previously provided. Anyway, there are two sinuous segments (617) on each side of the container (61) that work equally, allowing that with the previously adjusted positioning, an automated operation can be achieved. Said plate (605) can optionally be replaced by a guide system that, in contact with wheels juxtaposed to the containers (61), assist in the lifting mechanism, raising said sinuous segment, such an option is not represented in the attached figures.
[036] As illustrated in Figure 65, both equipment revealed can be applied to the suggested production line, offering similar applications and functions, and providing great benefits to the refrigerator sector.
