本発明の吸収性物品の一実施形態では、前記防漏カフは、少なくとも前記股下領域に、着用時に着用者の肌に向かって起立する起立部を有し、該起立部は、該防漏カフの主体をなすカフ用シートと、該カフ用シートに固定され前記縦方向に伸縮可能な複数のカフ用弾性部材とを備えるとともに、該起立部の自由端部を含み且つ起立状態において前記横方向の内方から外方に延在する第1起立部と、該カフ用シートの他の部材との固定部から該第1起立部に延在する第2起立部とを有していることが好ましい。
本発明の吸収性物品の一実施形態では、該吸収性物品の自然状態において、前記吸収体起立部を前記非起立部との境界側から該吸収体起立部の前記縦方向に沿う側縁側に向かう方向に仮想的に延長した場合の仮想延長部分が、前記第2起立部と重複することが好ましい。
股下領域Mは、おむつ1の縦中心線CLxを縦方向Xに跨いで縦方向Xに延在している。縦中心線CLxは、図2に示す如き展開且つ最大伸長状態のおむつ1を縦方向Xに二等分して横方向Yに延びる仮想直線である。
股下領域Mは、着用者の陰茎等の***部に対向する***部対向部(図示せず)を含み、典型的には、おむつ1において横方向Yの長さ(幅)が最も短い部分を含む。
本発明において、腹側領域F、股下領域M及び背側領域Rは、展開且つ最大伸長状態の吸収性物品を縦方向Xに三等分した場合の各領域であり得る。
おむつ1は、吸収体5を含む吸収性本体2と、吸収性本体2の非肌対向面側に配された外装体10とを備えている。吸収性本体2と外装体10とは接着剤等の公知の接合手段によって接合されている。
外装体10は、おむつ1の外形を形成する部材である。外装体10の周縁は、おむつ1の腹側領域F及び背側領域Rの輪郭線をそれぞれ形成している。外装体10は、横方向Yに延び、腹側領域Fに位置する腹側外装体10Fと、これとは別体で、横方向Yに延び、背側領域Rに位置する背側外装体10Rとを備える。つまりおむつ1は、外装体が腹側に配される部材と背側に配される部材とに分割されたいわゆる分割タイプのパンツ型使い捨ておむつである。
吸収性本体2は平面視長方形形状をなし、その長手方向をおむつ1の縦方向Xに一致させて、外装体10の横方向Yの中央部に配置され、腹側領域Fから背側領域Rにわたって縦方向Xに延在しており、縦方向Xに所定間隔を置いて配された腹側外装体10Fと背側外装体10Rとの間に架け渡されている。
また、表面シート3は、図3及び図4に示すように、吸収体5(後述する一対の吸収体起立部50及び非起立部51)の肌対向面側を横方向Yに横断し、且つ表面シート3における吸収体5の縦方向Xに沿う両側縁(一対の吸収体起立部50,50)からの延出部3Eが、吸収体5の非肌対向面側に巻きかけられている。表面シート3の一対の延出部3E,3Eは、それぞれ、後述する防漏カフ8の主体をなすカフ用シート83に固定されており、表面シート3とカフ用シート83との固定部85が一対形成されている。表面シート3は、吸収体5の非肌対向面の全域を覆ってはおらず、吸収体5の非肌対向面の横方向Yの中央部(一対の固定部85,85の間に位置する部分)は、表面シート3で覆われていない。本実施形態ではこのように、表面シート3は、吸収体5の肌対向面の全域を被覆可能な大きさを有し、吸収体5の肌対向面及び吸収体5の縦方向Xに沿う両側縁をそれらの全域にわたって被覆し、更に、吸収体5の非肌対向面における該両側縁から横方向Yの内方に所定範囲にわたる領域を被覆している。
なお、本発明では、表面シート3は表面に凹凸形状30を有していなくてもよく、表面に実質的に凹凸の無い平坦な表面シートを用いてもよい。
吸収体5は、図3及び図4に示すように、吸水性材料を主体とする吸収性コア6と、吸収性コア6の外面(肌対向面及び非肌対向面)を被覆するコアラップシート7とを含む。前記吸水性材料としては、典型的には、木材パルプ等の繊維材料及び吸水性ポリマーから選択される1種以上が用いられる。コアラップシート7は液透過性を有し、典型的には、紙、不織布等からなる。吸収体5は、コアラップシート7を含まず、吸収性コア6のみから構成されていてもよい。
吸収性コア6は、例えば、繊維材料の集合体を主体とし、該集合体に必要に応じ吸水性ポリマー粒子を担持させた積繊タイプでもよく、繊維シートの内部又は表面に吸水性ポリマー粒子が固定されたシートタイプでもよい。後述するおむつ1Aが備える吸収性シート6Aは、前記シートタイプの吸収性コアの一例である。前記シートタイプは、前記積繊タイプに比べて、厚みが薄く柔軟である。
外装体10は、吸収体5から相対的に遠い位置に配置され、おむつ1の外面を形成する外層シート11と、吸収体5から相対的に近い位置に配置され、おむつ1の内面を形成する内層シート12とを含んで構成されている。両シート11,12どうしは、ヒートシール、超音波シール等の公知の接合手段によって互いに接合され一体化されている。
外装体10を構成する両シート11,12は、互いに同種のシートでもよく、あるいは異種のシートでもよい。シート11,12は、伸縮性、特に横方向Yに伸縮性を有していてもよい。シート11,12としては、各種製法による不織布を用いることができ、具体的には、例えば、エアスルー不織布、ヒートロール不織布、スパンレース不織布、スパンボンド不織布、メルトブローン不織布等からなる単層の不織布又は2層以上の積層不織布が挙げられる。またシート11,12は、これらの不織布とフィルムとが積層一体化された複合シートであり得る。
なお、図示していないが、吸収体用弾性部材52は、吸収体5の内部に配置されていてもよい。具体的には、例えば、吸収体用弾性部材52は、吸収体5の縦方向Xに沿う両側縁又はその近傍において、吸収性コア6とコアラップシート7との間に、縦方向Xに伸縮可能に配置されていてもよい。その場合、吸収体用弾性部材52は、吸収性コア6及びコアラップシート7の一方又は両方に、接着剤等の公知の固定方法により固定され得る。
複数のカフ用弾性部材84は、それぞれ、起立部80において縦方向Xに伸縮可能に固定されている。本実施形態では、カフ用弾性部材84は、図3及び図4に示すように、起立部80における前記カフ用シート83どうしの対向部において両シート83,83どうしの間に介在され、縦方向Xに伸長状態で接着剤等の固定手段により周辺のカフ用シート83に固定されている。カフ用シート83におけるカフ用弾性部材84が縦方向Xに伸縮可能に固定された領域は、縦方向Xに伸縮可能な伸縮領域であり、該伸縮領域は縦方向Xに延在している。
カフ用シート83としては、この種の吸収性物品において防漏カフの素材として用いられているものを特に制限無く用いることができ、例えば、単層又は多層の撥水性不織布、樹脂フィルムと不織布との積層体等を用いることができる。
カフ用弾性部材84bが配置された第1起立部81と第2起立部82との境界部は、外折り部である第1起立部81を形成するために、カフ用シート83における横方向Yの外方から内方に延在する部分を縦方向Xに沿って横方向Yの外方に折り返す際の折り目部であり、自然状態又は展開且つ伸長状態のおむつ1において起立部80における横方向Yの最内方に位置する部分である。
おむつ1では、固定部85が吸収体5と平面視で重なっており、第1の部分821は、固定部85から横方向Yの外方に延在し、第2の部分822は、カフ用弾性部材84aから横方向Yの内方に延在している。したがっておむつ1では、第2起立部82は、図4に示す如き自然状態のおむつ1の厚み方向且つ横方向Yに沿う断面視において、V字状をなし、且つそのV字の頂部が横方向Yの外方に向いている。
カフ用弾性部材84aが配置された第2起立部82の第1の部分821と第2の部分822との境界部は、第2の部分822を形成するために、カフ用シート83における固定部85から横方向Yの外方に延在する部分を縦方向Xに沿って横方向Yの内方に折り返す際の折り目部である。
防漏カフ8の縦方向Xの両端部に一対の起立阻害部87,87が形成されていることで、おむつ1の着用時において、両起立阻害部87,87に挟まれた部分である起立部80が、カフ用弾性部材84(84a,84b,84c)の収縮力により、図4に示すように、固定部85を起立起点として着用者の肌に向かって起立する。このような防漏カフ8の起立状態では、起立した起立部80が、着用者が***した尿等の体液の横方向Yの外方への移動を堰き止めるため、前述した吸収体5の横方向Yの両側の一対の吸収体起立部50,50による体液の堰き止め効果と相俟って、特に股下領域Mにおける体液(***物)の横方向Yの外方への漏れ(横漏れ)が効果的に抑制される。
また、図示していないが、防漏カフ8の起立状態では、カフ用弾性部材84の収縮力により、おむつ1の全体が、吸収性本体2の縦方向Xの中央部が非肌対向面側(裏面シート4側)に凸となるように湾曲変形するため、おむつ1が着用者の身体形状にフィットしやすくなる。
本実施形態のおむつ1では、少なくとも股下領域Mの全域で、吸収体起立部50の前記仮想延長部分が、防漏カフ8の第2起立部82(第2の部分822)と重複する。
また、おむつ1の着用時には、図5に示すように、防漏カフ8における第1起立部81と第2起立部82との境界部(起立部80における横方向Yの最内方に位置する部分、カフ用弾性部材84bの配置部)が、着用者の股間部100の鼠径部に設計どおりに当接し得るため、横漏れが効果的に防止される。なお図5は、着用時のおむつ1における要部(防漏カフ8の起立部80等)の作用効果に対する理解を容易にする観点から作成されたものであり、実際の着用時におむつ1の全体が図5に示す状態になるとは限らない。

吸収体用弾性部材52の収縮率は、複数のカフ用弾性部材84の少なくとも1つの収縮率に比べて高いことを前提として、好ましくは30%以上、より好ましくは40%以上、そして、好ましくは80%以下、より好ましくは70%以下である。
複数のカフ用弾性部材84の収縮率は、それぞれ、それらの少なくとも1つが吸収体用弾性部材52の収縮率に比べて低いことを前提として、好ましくは20%以上、より好ましくは30%以上、そして、好ましくは70%以下、より好ましくは60%以下である。
弾性部材の収縮率は、弾性部材の種類、弾性部材の太さ(直径)、弾性部材を他の部材に固定する際の該弾性部材の伸長程度(伸長率)等を調整することで調整可能である。

吸収体用弾性部材52の伸長率は、複数のカフ用弾性部材84の少なくとも1つの伸長率に比べて高いことを前提として、好ましくは150%以上、より好ましくは200%以上、そして、好ましくは300%以下、より好ましくは270%以下である。
複数のカフ用弾性部材84の伸長率は、それぞれ、それらの少なくとも1つが吸収体用弾性部材52の伸長率に比べて低いことを前提として、好ましくは140%以上、より好ましくは180%以上、そして、好ましくは280%以下、より好ましくは250%以下である。
弾性部材の伸長率は、弾性部材の種類、弾性部材の太さ(直径)等を調整することで調整可能である。
なお、ここでいう「弾性部材の直径」とは、自然状態の弾性部材の直径であり、また、弾性部材の直径が部分的に異なる場合は、最短の直径を指す。
吸収体用弾性部材52の直径は、複数のカフ用弾性部材84の少なくとも1つの直径に比べて長いことを前提として、好ましくは0.8mm以上、より好ましくは1.2mm以上、そして、好ましくは3.0mm以下、より好ましくは2.2mm以下である。
複数のカフ用弾性部材84の直径は、それぞれ、それらの少なくとも1つが吸収体用弾性部材52の直径に比べて短いことを前提として、好ましくは0.5mm以上、より好ましくは0.8mm以上、そして、好ましくは2.5mm以下、より好ましくは2.0mm以下である。
前記「第1の部分821の固定部85からの延在方向の長さ」は、具体的には、例えば、固定部85の横方向Yの端からカフ用弾性部材84aまでの長さである。また、前記「吸収体起立部50の起立方向の長さ」は、具体的には、例えば、吸収体起立部50と非起立部51との境界から吸収体起立部50の先端まで長さである。
前記「第2の部分822の延在方向の長さ」は、具体的には例えば、カフ用弾性部材84a(固定部85と第1起立部81との中間位置に配置されたカフ用弾性部材84)から第1起立部81(カフ用弾性部材84b)までの長さである。
おむつ1の自然状態における吸収体起立部50の起立方向の長さは、同状態における第2の部分822の延在方向の長さに比べて長いことを前提として、好ましくは20mm以上、より好ましくは25mm以上、そして、好ましくは40mm以下、より好ましくは30mm以下である。
おむつ1の自然状態における第2の部分822の延在方向の長さは、同状態における吸収体起立部50の起立方向の長さに比べて短いことを前提として、好ましくは15mm以上、より好ましくは18mm以上、そして、好ましくは28mm以下、より好ましくは25mm以下である。
前記「伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さ」は、弾性部材52,84における伸長状態で周辺部のシート材に固定された部分のうち、縦方向Xの一方側(腹側)の最外方に位置する部分と他方側(背側)の最外方に位置する部分との間の長さを指す。カフ用弾性部材84を例にとれば、本実施形態では、前述した縦方向Xに離間する一対の起立阻害部87,87(図2参照)の間の長さが、前記「伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さ」である。
斯かる大小関係「吸収体用弾性部材52の伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さ<複数のカフ用弾性部材84の少なくとも1つの伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さ」が成立することで、おむつ1を横方向Yに横断する仮想直線を引いた場合に、その仮想直線上で吸収体5が起立せずに防漏カフ8のみが起立する領域が形成され、その領域において防漏カフ8が起立することで吸収体起立部50の肌側に防漏カフ8がより確実に位置することができ、吸収体起立部50が防漏カフ8を支える構造が安定して発揮されやすくなる。特に、複数のカフ用弾性部材84のうち、カフ用弾性部材84a(固定部85と第1起立部81との中間位置に配置されたカフ用弾性部材84)に比べて、吸収体用弾性部材52の方が、伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さが短いことが好ましい。
おむつ1の展開且つ最大伸長状態における吸収体起立部50の伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さは、同状態における複数のカフ用弾性部材84の少なくとも1つのそれに比べて短いことを前提として、好ましくは200mm以上、より好ましくは250mm以上、そして、好ましくは380mm以下、より好ましくは330mm以下である。
おむつ1の展開且つ最大伸長状態における複数のカフ用弾性部材84の少なくとも1つの伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さは、同状態における吸収体起立部50のそれに比べて長いことを前提として、好ましくは220mm以上、より好ましくは260mm以上、そして、好ましくは450mm以下、より好ましくは400mm以下である。
防漏性シート86による作用効果を安定的に奏させるようにする観点から、防漏性シート86は、少なくとも起立部80の第2起立部82に配されていることが好ましく、本実施形態のように起立部80の全体に配されていることがより好ましい。防漏性シート86とカフ用シート83とは、接着剤等の接合手段によって接合されていてもよい。
防漏性シート86としては、液不透過性のシートを用いることができ、例えば、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等のオレフィン系樹脂等からなる樹脂フィルムを例示できる。前記樹脂フィルムは透湿性を有するものでもよく、透湿性を有する樹脂フィルムとして、多孔性の樹脂フィルムを例示できる。前記多孔性の樹脂フィルムは、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン等のオレフィン系樹脂中に無機充填剤を混練してシート状物を成形した後、一軸又は二軸方向に延伸することで製造することができる。
肌対向面に凹凸形状30を有する表面シート3は、該肌対向面のドライ感に優れ、おむつ1の着用感の向上に寄与し得る等の利点を有するが、吸収体5の表面を覆う表面シート3が凹凸形状30を有するものであると、該表面シート3が凹凸形状30を有しないものである場合に比べて、吸収体5とこれを覆う表面シート3からなる物体の剛性が高まるため、該物体の起立性が低下することが懸念される。そこで本実施形態では、表面シート3として表面に凹凸形状30を有するものを採用することでその利点を活かしつつ、吸収体起立部50の起立性を確保するために、表面シート3における吸収体用弾性部材52の配置部に対応する部分には凹凸形状30を設けないようにし、吸収体起立部50がその表面を覆う表面シート3とともに起立しやすいようにした。
図6に示すおむつ1Aは、図2に示す如き展開且つ最大伸長状態であるところ、斯かる状態のおむつ1Aの平面視において、吸収体用弾性部材52は吸水性ポリマー64と重ならない。換言すれば、展開且つ最大伸長状態のおむつ1Aにおいては図6に示すように、吸収体用弾性部材52と吸水性ポリマー64とは、吸収体5の厚み方向(図6の上下方向)において重ならない。斯かる構成により、吸収体用弾性部材52の収縮が吸水性ポリマー64によって阻害される不都合が低減され、その効果は吸水性ポリマー64が体液を吸収して膨潤した後も続くので、吸収体起立部50の起立性が一層向上し且つ安定し得る。
防漏カフ9は、防漏カフ8における第1起立部81の如き外折り部を有しておらず。外折り防漏カフではないが、基本的な構成は防漏カフ8と同様である。具体的には、防漏カフ9(起立部90)は、防漏カフ9の主体をなすカフ用シート91と、カフ用シート91に固定され縦方向Xに伸縮可能な1本又は複数(図示の形態では3本)のカフ用弾性部材92とを備える。防漏カフ9(カフ用シート91)は、吸収性本体2の縦方向Xの略全長にわたって、吸収性本体2の縦方向Xに沿う側部に沿って連続的に配されている。カフ用シート91は、他の部材(裏面シート4)との固定部93を有し、固定部93が起立部90の起立起点となる。起立部90は、1枚のカフ用シート91の折り曲げによって形成された、カフ用シート91どうしの対向部を含み、カフ用弾性部材92は、該対向部において両シート91,91どうしの間に介在され、縦方向Xに伸長状態で接着剤等の固定手段により周辺のシート91に固定されている。カフ用シート91におけるカフ用弾性部材92が縦方向Xに伸縮可能に固定された領域は、縦方向Xに伸縮可能な伸縮領域であり、該伸縮領域は縦方向Xに延在している。防漏カフ9の構成部材としては、防漏カフ8の構成部材と同様のものを用いることができる。防漏カフ9は、防漏カフ8と同様に、防漏性シート86を備えていてもよい。
このように、内側防漏カフ8と外側防漏カフ9とが併存することで、横漏れが一層確実に防止され得る。特におむつ1Cでは、図8に示す如き自然状態において、起立状態の内側防漏カフ8と起立状態の外側防漏カフ9との間に空間部が形成されるので、万一、体液が内側防漏カフ8を超えて横方向Yの外方に移動しても、内側防漏カフ8を超えてきた体液は該空間部にストックされるので、外側防漏カフ9を超えて横方向Yの外方へ移動し難い。
例えば、前述した実施形態では、外装体10が腹側外装体と背側外装体とに分離して形成された形態であったが、これに代えて、外装体10は、腹側領域Fから背側領域Rにわたって連続的に延在する形態であってもよい。
前述した一の実施形態のみが有する部分は、全て適宜相互に利用できる。

- 前記吸収体用弾性部材は、前記固定部と前記第1起立部との中間位置に配置された前記カフ用弾性部材に比べて、伸縮可能に固定された部分の長さが短い、請求項1~13の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記吸収体用弾性部材における伸縮可能に固定された部分の前記縦方向の両端部は、複数の前記カフ用弾性部材の少なくとも1つにおける伸縮可能に固定された部分の該縦方向の両端部よりも、前記吸収性物品の該縦方向の中央寄りに位置している、請求項1~14の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記吸収体用弾性部材における伸縮可能に固定された部分の前記縦方向の両端部は、前記固定部と前記第1起立部との中間位置に配置された前記カフ用弾性部材における伸縮可能に固定された部分の該縦方向の両端部よりも、前記吸収性物品の該縦方向の中央寄りに位置している、請求項1~15の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記防漏カフの前記起立部は、相対向する前記カフ用シートを含み、該カフ用シートどうしの間に防漏性シートが介在されている、請求項1~16の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記吸収体起立部は、前記非起立部に比べて、曲げ剛性が小さい、請求項1~17の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記吸収体は、複数の層が平面視において積層された積層構造を有し、且つ平面視における層数が部分的に異なっており、
前記吸収体起立部は、前記吸収体において前記層数が相対的に少ない部分である、請求項1~18の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。 - 前記吸収体は、繊維シートと該繊維シートの表面に配された吸水性ポリマーとを含み、
展開且つ最大伸長状態の前記吸収性物品の平面視において、前記吸収体用弾性部材は前記吸水性ポリマーと重ならない、請求項1~19の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。 - 前記吸収体の肌対向面を被覆する表面シートを備え、該表面シートにおける前記非起立部に対応する部分は、表面に凹凸形状を有するが、該表面シートにおける前記吸収体用弾性部材の配置部に対応する部分は、表面に凹凸形状を有しない、請求項1~20の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記一対の防漏カフとは別に、該一対の防漏カフの前記横方向の外方にて着用者の肌に向かって起立する起立部を有する、他の一対の防漏カフを備える、請求項1~21の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記吸収性物品は、前記吸収体を含む吸収性本体と、該吸収性本体の非肌対向面側に配された外装体とを備えた使い捨ておむつであり、
前記外装体が、腹側に配される部材と背側に配される部材とに分割されている、請求項1~22の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。 - 前記吸収体を含む吸収性本体を備え、該吸収性本体は、着用者の肌から相対的に近い位置に配置された表面シートと、着用者の肌から相対的に遠い位置に配置された裏面シートとを備え、両シートの間に該吸収体が介在配置されている、請求項1~23の何れか1項に記載の吸収性物品。
- 前記表面シートは、前記吸収体の肌対向面側を前記横方向に横断し、且つ該表面シートにおける該吸収体の前記縦方向に沿う両側縁からの延出部が、該吸収体の非肌対向面側に巻きかけられている、請求項24に記載の吸収性物品。
