Abstract

The present invention relates to a system (1) and method (100) for managing metadata and broadcasting rights of contents such as series and movies wherein broadcasting is performed in multiple devices, countries and languages.

Description

A CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system and method for managing metadata and broadcasting rights of contents such as series and movies wherein broadcasting is performed in multiple devices, countries and languages.
Background of the Invention
Today, with the rapid development of technology and Internet; series, movies and similar contents can reach many different countries and can be broadcasted in many different languages. In such cases, broadcasting rights of contents can be protected by contracts drawn up among content providers, content owners and broadcasting companies.
In order to manage video content data in different languages, devices and countries; companies broadcasting content over Internet enable management of data about contents by dividing the content repository, wherein data about contents are recorded, into different database or database schemas in the state of the art. In the event of common contents that will be used in a plurality of countries, it is required to reproduce content video, photo files and metadata information separately for each country on digital storage spaces. And this leads to cost of too much storage space and transaction repeat for companies broadcasting content and managing right of use.
Therefore, considering the studies and deficiencies in the state of the art, it is understood that there is need for a system which enables to manage all data related to digital contents and broadcasting rights thereof from a single data repository. The Australian patent document no. AU2016208427, an application in the state of the art, discloses a system for performing content management. The system in the said invention enables a user to access, select and view regular or irregular video contents on the interface of a content management system. In the said invention, users are enabled to obtain licence in order to access licensed contents by means of a support software in the content management system.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system and method for managing metadata and broadcasting rights of contents such as series and movies wherein broadcasting is performed in multiple devices, countries and languages.
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system and method for enabling TV broadcasting companies to broadcast their contents and customers to manage their subscriptions.
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system and method for providing content broadcasting with a structure that can perform multi-tenant, multi-region and multi-language broadcasting by means of different database schemas.
