As a method of administering a liquid substance containing a nutritional supplement or a drug to a patient who cannot eat a meal by mouth, tube feeding is known in which the liquid substance is directly injected into the digestive tract such as the stomach or intestine via a tube. .. Since the liquid material needs to be administered to the patient on a regular basis, the tube that feeds the liquid material is placed in the patient while being inserted into the patient. A male connector is provided at the upstream end of the tube. When administering the liquid, the male connector is connected to a female connector provided at the downstream end of the tube connected to the container (eg, bag) containing the liquid.
The male connector will continue to be indwelled in the patient for a long time together with the tube. The male connector may become the underlay of the patient's face or body, such as when the patient rolls over. If the male connector is made of a rigid material, the patient may feel pain due to the male connector. In addition, the male connector can cause pressure ulcers by continuously compressing the patient's skin and soft tissues.
Patent Document 1 describes a cover that can be attached to and detached from the male connector. It is stated that the cover may be made of a soft material such as an elastomer or foam. Covering the male connector except when tube feeding can reduce the patient's chances of pain and pressure ulcers, even if the male connector is under the patient. can.

The cover of Patent Document 1 needs to be removed from the male connector when connecting and disconnecting the female connector to the male connector. The removed cover may be lost. You may also forget to reattach the removed cover to the male connector after tube feeding.
The cover of Patent Document 1 is provided with a recess that can accommodate a male connector. The cover is attached to and detached from the male connector by inserting and removing the male connector into the recess along the direction orthogonal to the axis of the male connector (radial direction) with the cap attached to the tip of the male connector. When the cover is attached to the male connector, one radial side of the male connector is exposed to the outside world over the entire length of the male connector. The cover has the advantage that the cover can be easily attached to and detached from the male connector. On the other hand, there is a high possibility that the cover will unintentionally separate from the male connector due to external force.
The first object of the present invention is to reduce the pain felt by the patient when the male connector is placed under the patient. A second object of the present invention is to make it possible to connect and disconnect a female connector to a male connector with the cover attached to the male connector. A third object of the present invention is a cover that can be attached to and detached from the male connector, and the cover may be unintentionally separated from the male connector when the male connector to which the cover is attached is placed in the patient. It is to reduce.
The cover for a male connector of the present invention can be attached to and detached from a connector main body having a cylindrical connector main portion at one end and a base end portion from which a flexible tube is derived at the other end, and the tip of the connector main portion. It can be attached to and detached from a male connector provided with a cap and a band connecting the connector body or the tube and the cap. The cover is made of a material having cushioning properties. The cover includes an accommodating portion capable of accommodating the connector main portion and a connecting portion provided so as to extend along the circumferential direction of the connector main portion when the cover is attached to the male connector. When the cover is attached to the male connector and the cap is not attached to the connector main portion, the cover can expose the tip of the connector main portion toward the outside world in the axial direction of the male connector. Moreover, the band is arranged on the base end portion side with respect to the connecting portion.
The cover of the present invention is made of a material having cushioning properties. The cover can be attached to the male connector so that the connector main portion is accommodated in the accommodating portion of the cover. Therefore, when the male connector to which the cover of the present invention is attached is placed under the patient, the pain felt by the patient is reduced.
When the cover is attached to the male connector and the cap is not attached to the connector main part, the tip of the connector main part can be exposed toward the outside in the axial direction of the male connector. Therefore, it is possible to connect and disconnect the female connector to the male connector with the cover of the present invention attached to the male connector.
When the cover is attached to the male connector and the cap is not attached to the connector main part, the band is arranged on the base end side with respect to the connecting part. If a cap is attached to the connector main part to place the male connector in the patient, the connecting part is surrounded by the connector body and the band. Therefore, when the male connector to which the cover of the present invention is attached is placed in the patient, it is unlikely that the cover will be unintentionally separated from the male connector.

In one aspect of the present invention, the cover may be asymmetric with respect to the axis of the cover when the cover is viewed along a direction perpendicular to the plane including the axis of the cover and the connecting portion. Such an embodiment is advantageous for recognizing the position where the male connector is inserted / removed with respect to the cover.
In one aspect of the present invention, the cover may further include a skirt configured to face the base end portion in the radial direction when the cover is attached to the male connector. The cover is notched so that the outer peripheral edge of the skirt is asymmetric with respect to the axis of the cover when the cover is viewed along a direction perpendicular to the plane including the axis of the cover and the connecting portion. It may be provided. According to such an embodiment, when inserting the male connector into the cover, a notch can be utilized to position the male connector with respect to the cover. This is advantageous for improving the wearability of the cover with respect to the male connector.
In one aspect of the present invention, the cover may include a pair of sides facing each other in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the cover. Each of the pair of side surfaces may be a convex curved surface. The pair of side surfaces may be connected via a flat surface. Such an embodiment is advantageous for facilitating the manufacture of the cover when the cover is molded and manufactured using a mold.
In one aspect of the present invention, a hole may be provided on the outer surface of the cover. Such an aspect is advantageous for reducing the weight of the cover and adjusting the cushioning property of the cover.

In the present invention, the "axis" of a member (eg, cover, male connector) means the central axis of the member. The "axis" passes through the center of the circle contained in the member and / or coincides with the central axis of the cylinder contained in the member. The direction along the straight line orthogonal to the axis is called the "radial direction". In the radial direction, the side closer to the axis is called the "inner" side, and the side farther from the axis is called the "outer" side. The direction of rotation around the axis is called the "circumferential direction".
(Embodiment 1)
FIG. 1A is a perspective view of the male connector 900 and the cover 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention immediately before being attached to the male connector 900. 1B is a cross-sectional perspective view of FIG. 1A. The cross section of FIG. 1B includes a coaxially arranged cover 1 and a shaft of the male connector 900 (not shown). For the convenience of the following description, an XYZ Cartesian coordinate system as shown is set for each of the cover 1 and the male connector 900. The Z axis is parallel to the axis of the cover 1 and the male connector 900. The Z-axis direction may be simply referred to as "axial direction". In the axial direction (Z-axis direction), the side indicated by the arrow on the Z-axis (upper side in FIG. 1A) is referred to as the "front" side, and the opposite side (lower side in FIG. 1A) is referred to as the "rear" side.
First, the male connector 900 will be explained. The male connector 900 is used for nasal tube feeding. The male connector 900 has a connector body 901 having a cylindrical connector main portion 910 at one end and a base end portion 920 from which the tube 909 is led out at the other end.
As shown in FIG. 1B, the connector main portion 910 has a male member 911 having a hollow tubular shape and an outer cylinder 915 surrounding the male member 911. The outer peripheral surface 912 of the male member 911 is a tapered surface (so-called male tapered surface) whose outer diameter decreases as it approaches the tip of the male member 911. The male member 911 has a tip tapered surface 913 having a taper angle larger than that of the outer peripheral surface 912 on the tip side of the outer peripheral surface 912. The tip of the male member 911 (particularly, the tip tapered surface 913) protrudes in the axial direction from the tip of the outer cylinder 915. The tapered surface 913 protruding from the outer cylinder 915 facilitates the connection of the cap 930 and the female connector 950 (see FIGS. 5A and 5B described later) to the male connector 900. The male member 911 is provided with a flow path 919 that penetrates the male member 911 along its longitudinal direction (Z-axis direction). The outer cylinder 915 has a substantially cylindrical shape, and is arranged coaxially with the male member 911 and radially separated from the male member 911. A female screw 916 is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 915 facing the male member 911.
The base end portion 920 includes a connection cylinder 921 coaxial with the male member 911. The connection cylinder 921 has a hollow cylinder shape and communicates with the male member 911. As shown in FIG. 1A, the base end portion 920 further includes a grip portion 923 provided so as to surround the connection cylinder 921. The grip portion 923 of the present embodiment has a substantially quadrangular prism shape as a whole. The cross-sectional shape of the grip portion 923 along the plane perpendicular to the XY plane is substantially rectangular. The base end portion 920 has a long axis parallel to the long side of the substantially rectangular shape of the grip portion 923. The long axis is parallel to the Y axis. The long axis of the base end portion 920 is in a plane (XY plane) orthogonal to the axis of the male connector 900 (the axis is defined by the central axis of the male member 911, the outer cylinder 915, and the connection cylinder 921). It is an axis along the direction in which the outer dimension of the base end portion 920 is maximized. The direction orthogonal to the major axis and the axis of the male connector 900 (X-axis direction) is referred to as the "thickness direction" of the base end portion 920. The dimensions of the base end portion 920 along the major axis direction (Y-axis direction) are substantially the same as the outer diameter of the outer cylinder 915. The dimension of the base end portion 920 along the thickness direction (X-axis direction) is smaller than the outer diameter of the outer cylinder 915 and is substantially the same as the outer diameter of the connection cylinder 921. The base end portion 920 (grip portion 923) has a grip surface 924 which is a flat surface parallel to the YZ surface. The operator can grip the base end portion 920 on the grip surface 924 in the thickness direction. The base end 920 having a long axis facilitates the operator to apply a rotational force around the axis to the male connector 900.
A flexible hollow tube 909 is derived from the base end portion 920. As shown in FIG. 1B, the tube 909 is inserted into the connecting cylinder 921 and fixed to the connecting cylinder 921 with an adhesive or the like. The flow path 919 of the male member 911 communicates with the tube 909. The tube 909 may be a nasal catheter inserted through the patient's nasal cavity into the stomach or esophagus. Alternatively, the tube 909 may be a tube (extension tube) connected to the nasal catheter. The outer diameter of the tube 909 can be appropriately changed according to the physique of the patient and the like, and is generally about 1 to 5 mm.
The male connector 900 further includes a cap 930 and a band 935. The cap 930 includes a substantially disk-shaped sealing plate 931 and a cylindrical sealing cylinder 932 protruding from the sealing plate 931. A tab 933 projects radially outward from the circular outer peripheral edge of the cap 930 (or sealing plate 931). A band 935 extends parallel to the Y axis from a position on the outer peripheral edge of the cap 930 opposite to the tab 933. The band 935 connects the cap 930 to the ring 937 fixed to the connector body 901. In this embodiment, the ring 937 is fixed between the connector main portion 910 and the base end portion 920. The ring 937 has an annular shape having substantially the same outer diameter as the outer cylinder 915. The rear end (base end portion 920 side end) of the ring 937 forms a step 905 projecting outward in the radial direction with respect to the grip surface 924 (see FIG. 4B described later).
The cap 930 can be repeatedly attached to and detached from the tip of the connector main portion 910. When no nasal tube feeding is performed, the male connector 900 is placed in the patient with the cap 930 attached to the connector main portion 910 (see FIG. 4A described later). The cap 930 can be easily removed from the connector main portion 910 by hooking a finger on the tab 933. The band 935 prevents the cap 930 removed from the connector main portion 910 from being lost.
The connector body 901 can be integrally molded as a whole using a hard material. The hard material preferably has mechanical strength (rigidity) to such an extent that it is not substantially deformed by an external force. Specifically, as the hard material, for example, resin materials such as polypropylene, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer, polycarbonate, polyacetal, polystyrene, polyamide, polyethylene, and hard polyvinyl chloride can be used. The connector main body 901 may be configured by combining a plurality of separately manufactured parts (for example, two parts of an outer cylinder 915 and a portion other than the outer cylinder 915). In this case, the materials constituting the plurality of parts may be the same or different, and each can be selected from the above-mentioned hard materials.
The cap 930, the tab 933, the band 935, and the ring 937 can be integrally molded as one part by using a soft material that is easily deformed as compared with the connector main body 901. The soft materials that can be used in these integrated products, including the cap 930, include relatively hard resin materials such as polypropylene and polyethylene, rubber (eg, isoprene rubber, silicone rubber, butyl rubber) or thermoplastic elastomers (eg, for example). , A styrene-based elastomer, an olefin-based elastomer, a polyurethane-based elastomer) and other soft materials having rubber elasticity (so-called elastomers) can be used.
The configuration of the male connector 900 is merely an example, and in particular, the configuration of the portion that is not directly involved in the connection with the female connector 950 (see FIGS. 5A and 5B described later) can be appropriately changed. For example, in the present embodiment, the ring 937 is provided at a position between the connector main portion 910 and the base end portion 920, but the position of the ring 937 is not limited to this. For example, the ring 937 may be mounted at an arbitrary position between the tip end (front end) and the rear end (base end portion 920 side end) of the connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915). In this case, the connector main portion may be mounted. The rear end of the 910 (outer cylinder 915) constitutes a step 905 that protrudes outward in the radial direction with respect to the grip surface 924. The configuration for connecting the band 935 to the male connector 900 is not limited to the ring 937. For example, the base end of the band 935 may be embedded in the connector main portion 910 by two-color molding or the like. In this case, the ring 937 is unnecessary. The configuration of the cap 930 can also be changed arbitrarily. The cap 930 does not have to include the tab 933.
Cover 1 will be explained. FIG. 2A is a front view of the cover 1 as viewed from the front side, and FIG. 2B is a side view of the cover 1.
The cover 1 has a hollow cylindrical shape as a whole. More specifically, as shown in FIG. 2A, the cover 1 has a cover body 15 having a substantially “C” arcuate shape when viewed along the Z axis, and the cover body 15 in the X-axis direction. It is provided with a connecting portion 11 for connecting two end faces facing each other. The lumen of the cover 1 surrounded by the cover main body 15 and the connecting portion 11 is an accommodating portion 10 capable of accommodating the connector main portion 910. The inner peripheral surface of the accommodating portion 10 is a cylindrical surface, which is composed of a cover main body 15 and a connecting portion 11. The central axis of the cylindrical surface of the accommodating portion 10 is parallel to the Z axis and defines the axis of the cover 1 (not shown). The inner diameter of the cylindrical surface is preferably substantially the same as or smaller than the outer diameter of the connector main portion 910 (or outer cylinder 915). If the inner diameter of the cylindrical surface of the accommodating portion 10 is smaller than the outer diameter of the connector main portion 910, the cover 1 is unlikely to fall off from the male connector 900 when the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). The accommodating portion 10 is open toward both sides in the Z-axis direction. The outer peripheral surface 16 of the cover body 15 is a cylindrical surface coaxial with the axis of the cover 1. The thickness of the cover body 15 in the radial direction is substantially constant. The front end surface 17a and the rear end surface 17b (see FIG. 2B) of the cover body 15 are flat surfaces parallel to the XY surface. The Z-axis direction dimension of the cover body 15 is preferably the same as or larger than the Z-axis direction dimension of the connector main portion 910 of the male connector 900. In the first embodiment, Z from the tip of the outer cylinder 915 to the step 905. It is almost the same as the axial dimension.
The connecting portion 11 is thinner in the radial direction than the cover main body 15. Therefore, the connecting portion 11 retracts inward in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface 16 of the cover main body 15, and a groove 12 extending in the Z-axis direction is formed along the connecting portion 11. The outer surface of the connecting portion 11 (the surface facing outward in the radial direction) constitutes the bottom surface of the groove 12. Further, the connecting portion 11 has a smaller dimension in the Z-axis direction than the cover main body 15. Specifically, the connecting portion 11 is retracted from the rear end surface 17b of the cover main body 15 in the Z-axis direction, and a concave portion 18 extending in the radial direction is formed in the rear end surface 17b (see FIG. 4B). The recess 18 is connected to the groove 12. Further, the connecting portion 11 is retracted in the Z-axis direction from the front end surface 17a of the cover main body 15. The Z-axis direction dimension of the connecting portion 11 is preferably the same as or smaller than the length along the Z-axis from the tip of the connector main portion 910 (or the outer cylinder 915) to the band 935. This is because the cap 930 can be easily attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910.
The cover 1 is a material having cushioning properties (or elasticity and compressibility) that can be deformed relatively easily by an external force and that immediately restores to the state before deformation (initial state) when the external force is removed (hereinafter referred to as). It consists of "cushioning material"). The cushioning material that can be used is not limited, but a foam material (sponge) is preferable, and for example, resin materials such as silicone foam, polyurethane foam, and polyethylene foam can be exemplified. Of these, polyurethane foam is preferable. Alternatively, a thermoplastic elastomer, rubber, soft polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene or the like may be used as the cushioning material. The cover 1 can be integrally manufactured as a whole by using the above materials. A bitter taste component (eg, denatonium benzoate) may be applied to cover 1 to prevent children from accidentally swallowing cover 1.
The method of attaching the cover 1 to the male connector 900 will be explained.
As shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, the rear end surface 17b of the cover 1 faces the tip of the connector main portion 910 to which the cap 930 is not attached. The cover 1 is arranged coaxially with the male connector 900. The direction of the connecting portion 11 of the cover 1 is aligned with the direction (Y-axis) in which the band 935 extends from the cover main body 15. Then, the connector main portion 910 is inserted into the cover 1.
FIG. 3A is a perspective view of the cover 1 attached to the male connector 900. The cap 930 is not attached to the connector body 901. This state is called "cover attached / cap not attached". FIG. 3B is a cross-sectional view taken along the YZ plane of FIG. 3A. The connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915) and the ring 937 are accommodated in the accommodating portion 10 (see FIG. 1A) of the cover 1. The connecting portion 11 extends along the circumferential direction of the connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915) and faces the connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915) in the radial direction. The tip of the outer cylinder 915 is substantially flush with the front end surface 17a of the cover body 15. The step 905 of the male connector 900 (see FIG. 1A) is substantially flush with the rear end surface 17b of the cover body 15 (see FIG. 4B described later). The band 935 of the male connector 900 is located on the base end portion 920 side (rear side) with respect to the connecting portion 11 of the cover 1, is housed in the recess 18, and is axially opposed (or abutted) to the connecting portion 11. )are doing. The axial contact of the band 935 with the connecting portion 11 limits the insertion depth of the male connector 900 (connector main portion 910) with respect to the cover 1. The band 935 extends along the Y axis so as to project outward in the radial direction from the connecting portion 11. The tip of the connector main portion 910 is not covered with the cover 1 and is exposed toward the outside in the axial direction. In the present invention, "the tip of the connector main portion 910 is exposed axially toward the outside world" means that the tip of the male member 911 constituting the connector main portion 910 and the tip of the outer cylinder 915 are exposed toward the outside world ( It means that it is exposed (toward the front) and the flow path 919 of the male member 911 and the gap 918 between the male member 911 and the outer cylinder 915 are opened toward the outside world (toward the front). Therefore, the cap 930 can be attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910 from the state of FIGS. 3A and 3B (the cover is attached and the cap is not attached).
FIG. 4A is a perspective view of a state in which the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910 as viewed from the front side. This state is called "cover attached / cap attached state". FIG. 4B is a perspective view of the state of FIG. 4A as viewed from the rear side. 4C is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 4A, and FIG. 4D is a front view of FIG. 4A.
The cover 1 covers the outer peripheral surface of the connector main portion 910 (or outer cylinder 915) of the male connector 900 and the outer peripheral surface of the ring 937. The cap 930 projects forward from the front end surface 17a of the cover 1. The base end portion 920 of the male connector 900 projects rearward from the rear end surface 17b of the cover 1.
As shown in FIG. 4C, the sealing cylinder 932 of the cap 930 is inserted into the gap 918 between the male member 911 of the male connector 900 and the outer cylinder 915. The male member 911 is inserted into the sealing cylinder 932, and the inner peripheral surface of the sealing cylinder 932 is in close contact with the outer peripheral surface 912 of the male member 911 in a liquid-tight manner. The cap 930 closes the flow path 919 and the gap 918 of the male connector 900. The sealing plate 931 has substantially the same diameter as the outer diameter of the outer cylinder 915. The tab 933 and the band 935 project radially outward from the sealing plate 931 and the outer cylinder 915. The band 935 is curved and extends across the connecting portion 11 of the cover 1 toward the tip end side of the connector main portion 910. The connecting portion 11 is surrounded by a band 935 and an outer cylinder 915.
As shown in FIG. 4D, the tab 933 and the band 935 project from the cap 930 (sealing plate 931) in opposite directions along the Y-axis direction. However, the tab 933 does not project radially outward from the cover body 15. Further, the band 935 is housed in the groove 12 along the connecting portion 11 of the cover 1, and does not substantially project outward from the cover main body 15 in the radial direction. That is, it is not the tab 933 and the band 935 but the cover 1 (particularly the cover body 15) that protrudes most outward in the radial direction.
As can be seen from FIG. 4A, since the cap 930 and the tab 933 are not covered with the cover 1, the cap 930 can be removed from the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). That is, with the cover 1 attached to the male connector 900, the cap 930 can be repeatedly attached (see FIGS. 4A to 4D) and removed (see FIGS. 3A and 3B) to the connector main portion 910. can. The cover 1 can be separated from the male connector 900 by pulling the male connector 900 backward along the Z axis from the cover 1 with the cap 930 separated from the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). 1A and 1B). The cover 1 can be repeatedly attached to and detached from the male connector 900.
Cover 1 can be used, for example, as follows.
The cover 1 can be attached to the male connector 900 at any time. For example, the cover 1 can be attached to the male connector 900 prior to inserting the tube 909 (see FIG. 1A) into the patient. Alternatively, the cover 1 can be attached to the male connector 900 after the tube 909 has been inserted into the patient, i.e., with the male connector 900 indwelling in the patient with the tube 909. The cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 with the cap 930 separated from the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 1A and 1B) (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). Next, the cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 4A to 4D). In this state (cover-mounted / cap-mounted state), the cover 1 is placed in the patient together with the male connector 900 and the tube 909. The male connector 900 and the cover 1 are connected to the patient via a tube 909, but can move freely away from the patient without being fixed to the patient's body surface.
When performing nasal tube feeding, the cap 930 is separated from the connector main part 910 (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). Then, as shown in FIG. 5A, the female connector 950 is connected to the male connector 900. FIG. 5B is a cross-sectional view taken along the YZ plane of FIG. 5A. The female connector 950 includes a female member 951 having a hollow tubular shape. The inner peripheral surface 952 of the female member 951 is a female tapered surface whose inner diameter increases as it approaches the tip of the female member 951. A male screw 956 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the female member 951. The female member 951 is inserted into the gap 918 between the male member 911 and the outer cylinder 915. The male screw 956 of the female member 951 is screwed with the female screw 916 of the outer cylinder 915. The male member 911 is inserted into the female member 951. The outer peripheral surface (male tapered surface) 912 of the male member 951 and the inner peripheral surface (female tapered surface) 952 of the female member 951 are liquid-tightly tapered and fitted.
The female connector 950 further includes a connection cylinder 961 coaxial with the female member 951. A pair of grip portions 963 (only one grip portion 963 can be seen in FIGS. 5A and 5B) protrudes outward from the connection cylinder 961 in the radial direction. The grip portion 963, like the grip portion 923 of the male connector 900, facilitates the operator to apply a rotational force around the axis of the female connector 950.
The connection cylinder 961 has a hollow cylinder shape and communicates with the female member 951. A flexible hollow tube 959 is inserted into the connecting cylinder 961 and fixed to the connecting cylinder 961 with an adhesive or the like. The base end (not shown) of the tube 959 is connected to a container (eg, a bag) containing a liquid material.
In the state of FIGS. 5A and 5B, nasal tube feeding can be performed by flowing a liquid substance through a tube 959, a female connector 950, a male connector 900, and a tube 909 in this order and administering the liquid to the patient.
After that, the female connector 950 is separated from the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). Wipe off the liquid matter adhering to the male connector 900. The cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 4A to 4D). The male connector 900 is placed in the patient together with the tube 909 in this state (cover attached / cap attached state).
As described above, in the cover 1 of the present embodiment 1, the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 is attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910 (cover attached / cap attached state, FIGS. 4A to 4D). See), placed in the patient with the male connector 900. The cover 1 includes an accommodating portion 10 capable of accommodating the connector main portion 910. In the male connector 900, the connector main portion 910 (or the outer cylinder 915), which is the hardest and most outwardly protruding portion in the radial direction, is housed in the cover 1. The cover 1 further protrudes outward in the radial direction from the connector main portion 910. Therefore, even if the male connector 900 to which the cover 1 is attached is placed under the patient, it is unlikely that the male connector 900 will touch the patient. Moreover, since the cover 1 is made of a cushioning material, it is appropriately deformed depending on the weight of the patient. Cover 1 relieves the local pressure the patient receives from the male connector 900. Therefore, the cover 1 can reduce the pain felt by the patient when the male connector 900 is placed under the patient. Even if the male connector 900 remains under the patient, it is unlikely that the patient will develop a pressure ulcer.
When the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 is not attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910 (with or without the cover attached, see FIGS. 3A and 3B), the tip of the connector main portion 910 is , The male connector 900 is exposed toward the outside in the axial direction (Z-axis direction). Therefore, unlike the cover described in the conventional patent document 1 described above, both the cap 930 and the female connector 950 are connected to the male connector 900 many times with the cover 1 attached to the male connector 900. And can be separated. In order to perform nasal tube feeding, it is necessary to remove the cap 930 from the connector main part 910 and connect the female connector 950 to the connector main part 910 (male connector 900) instead. When the cover 1 of the present embodiment 1 is used, it is not necessary to separate the cover 1 from the male connector 900 prior to performing nasal tube feeding. Therefore, problems such as loss of the cover 1 and forgetting to reattach the cover 1 that may occur when the cover 1 is separated from the male connector 900 do not occur. Even if the cap 930 falls off from the connector main part 910 when the cover is attached and the cap is attached (see FIGS. 4A to 4D), the cap 930 is firmly pushed into the connector main part 910 without removing the cover 1 from the male connector 900. Can be reattached.
In the state where the cover is attached and the cap is not attached (see FIGS. 3A and 3B), the band 935 is arranged on the base end portion 920 side with respect to the connecting portion 11. The connecting portion 11 restricts the cover 1 from moving backward with respect to the male connector 900. After that, when the cap 930 is attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910, the band 935 is curved and extends across the connecting portion 11 toward the tip end side of the connector main portion 910 (see FIG. 4C). The connecting portion 11 is surrounded by the connector main body 901 (particularly the connector main portion 910 thereof) and the band 935. The band 935 restricts the connecting portion 11 (further cover 1) from moving in the Z-axis direction with respect to the male connector 900. Therefore, when the male connector 900 with the cover attached and the cap attached (see FIGS. 4A to 4D) is placed in the patient, it is unlikely that the cover 1 is unintentionally separated from the male connector 900. For example, even if a pulling force is applied to the tube 909 in the cover-attached / cap-attached state (see FIGS. 4A to 4D) and a force is applied to the male connector 900 in the direction of being pulled out from the cover 1 (backward), the male connector 900 is male. It is unlikely that the connector 900 will be misaligned with respect to the cover 1 and eventually the male connector 900 will come out of the cover 1. Therefore, the cover 1 can surely reduce the pain felt by the patient when the male connector 900 is placed under the patient.
The connecting portion 11 constitutes a part of the inner peripheral surface that defines the accommodating portion 10. Therefore, the connecting portion 11 has a function of positioning the connector main portion 910 in the cover 1 in the radial direction. Further, the connecting portion 11 also has a function of axially positioning the male connector 900 with respect to the cover 1 by engaging with the band 935 in the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 4A to 4D). Since the connecting portion 11 has these two functions in combination, the configuration of the cover 1 is simplified.
The band 935 is derived from the position of the connector main body 901 between the connector main portion 910 and the base end portion 920 (see FIGS. 1A and 1B). When the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 is attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910, the band 935 is curved and inevitably straddles the connecting portion 11 (see FIG. 4C). Therefore, the cover 1 is compatible with such a male connector 900.
When the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900, the connecting portion 11 is arranged on the front side (the tip end side of the connector main portion 910) with respect to the band 935 (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). To achieve this, as shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, when the cover 1 is attached to and detached from the male connector 900, the connector main portion 910 opens the opening (rear end surface) of the cover 1 behind the connecting portion 11. It is inserted and removed from the opening on the 17b side). In order to attach / detach the cover 1 to / from the male connector 900, it is not necessary to insert / remove the tube 909 into / from the cover 1. Therefore, the cover 1 can be attached to and detached from the male connector 900 while the tube 909 is already connected to the male connector 900 and the tube 909 is inserted into the patient. For example, if the cover 1 becomes dirty, it is possible to replace only the cover 1 with a new one while the male connector 900 and the tube 909 are left in the patient.
A groove 12 along the connecting portion 11 is formed on the outer peripheral surface 16 of the cover 1 (see FIG. 1A). In the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 4A to 4D), the band 935 is curved and accommodated in the groove 12. Therefore, even if the curved band 935 protrudes outward in the radial direction from the cylindrical outer peripheral surface of the connector main portion 910 (or the outer cylinder 915), the band 935 protrudes outward in the radial direction from the cover 1. Can be suppressed. This is advantageous in reducing the pain that the patient feels due to the curved band 935 when the male connector 900 is placed under the patient. Even if the male connector 900 remains under the patient, it is unlikely that the patient will develop a pressure ulcer. The depth of the groove 12 along the radial direction is preferably equal to or greater than the thickness of the band 935 (in FIG. 4C, the dimension along the radial direction of the portion of the band 935 that faces the connecting portion 11 in the radial direction). The band 935 housed in the groove 12 preferably does not project outward in the radial direction from the cover 1, but may slightly project. This is because the band 935 is soft and easily deformable unlike the connector main part 910, so that the pain felt by the patient by the band 935 is smaller than the pain caused by the connector main part 910.
The rear end surface 17b of the cover 1 is provided with a recess 18 along the radial direction. The recess 18 is connected to the groove 12, and both are continuous. The band 935 is housed in the recess 18 when the cover is attached and the cap is not attached (see FIGS. 3A and 3B). The recess 18 engages with the band 935 to prevent the cover 1 from rotating about the axis with respect to the male connector 900. After that, if the cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910 while the band 935 is housed in the recess 18, the band 935 is securely housed in the groove 12. If the band 935 is engaged with the recess 18 when the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 3A and 3B), then the cover 1 is attached when the cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910. There is no need to align around the axis with respect to the male connector 900.
When the cover is attached and the cap is attached (see FIGS. 4A to 4D), the tab 933 of the cap 930 does not protrude outward from the cover 1 in the radial direction. This is advantageous in reducing the pain that the patient feels with the tab 933 when the male connector 900 is placed under the patient. Even if the male connector 900 remains under the patient, it is unlikely that the patient will develop a pressure ulcer.
In the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 4A to 4D), the cap 930 and the base end portion 920 project in the axial direction (Z-axis direction) from the cover 1 (see FIGS. 4A to 4C). However, it is unlikely that the patient will feel pain due to the cap 930 and the proximal end 920 if the male connector 900 is placed under the patient. This is because when the male connector 900 is the underlay of the patient, the long axis of the male connector 900 (the axis along the direction in which the outer dimension is maximized, that is, the Z axis) is usually oriented horizontally, and the cover 1 is the cap 930. This is because it protrudes outward in the radial direction from the base end portion 920.
The first embodiment is merely an example, and the first embodiment can be changed as appropriate.
In the first embodiment, a step in the Z-axis direction is formed between the connecting portion 11 of the cover 1 and the front end surface 17a (see FIG. 1A), but this step is not essential in the present invention. For example, the connecting portion 11 and the front end surface 17a may be along a common plane parallel to the XY plane.
The cover 1 does not have to have the recess 18. For example, the connecting portion 11 and the rear end surface 17b may be along a common plane parallel to the XY plane. The Z-axis direction dimension of the connecting portion 11 may be the same as the Z-axis direction dimension of the cover main body 15.
The dimensions of the cover body 15 in the Z-axis direction can be changed as appropriate. The Z-axis dimension of the cover body 15 is preferably larger than the Z-axis dimension of the connector main portion 910 (or outer cylinder 915), and the Z-axis from the tip of the outer cylinder 915 to the lower end (or step 905) of the ring 937. It is more preferable that the dimension is equal to or larger than the directional dimension. This is because the connector main part 910 (or outer cylinder 915) made of a relatively hard material is less likely to touch the patient. Therefore, when the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900, it is preferable that the connector main portion 910 (or the outer cylinder 915) does not protrude forward from the front end surface 17a of the cover main body 15, and the ring 937 (or the step 905). ) Preferably does not protrude rearward from the rear end surface 17b of the cover body 15. Even if the cover 1 extends rearward beyond the ring 937 (or step 905) when the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900 so that the cover 1 covers part or all of the base end 920 in the radial direction. good. However, in the present invention, when the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900, the tip of the connector main portion 910 (or the outer cylinder 915) may protrude forward from the front end surface 17a of the cover main body 15. Further, when the cover 1 is attached to the male connector 900, the ring 937 (or the step 905) may protrude rearward from the rear end surface 17b of the cover main body 15. Even if the connector main part 910 (or outer cylinder 915) and / or the ring 937 (or step 905) protrudes axially from the cover body 15, if the protruding length of the portion protruding from the cover body 15 is small, the male This is because when the connector 900 is placed under the patient, it is unlikely that the protruding portion will touch the patient. Also, even if the ring 937, which is made of a relatively soft material, touches the patient, the pain that the patient feels due to the ring 937 is relatively small.
The shape of the outer peripheral surface 16 of the cover body 15 as viewed along the Z axis does not have to be circular, and may be substantially elliptical as in the case of the cover body 215 of the second embodiment described later, for example. In this case, it is preferable that the connecting portion 11 is arranged on a substantially elliptical long axis as in the second embodiment.
The cover 1 may include a through hole 19 included in the cover 2 of the second embodiment described later.

(Embodiment 2)
FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the cover 2 according to the second embodiment of the present invention. 7A is a cross-sectional perspective view of the cover 2 along the YZ plane, and FIG. 7B is a cross-sectional perspective view of the cover 2 along the XZ plane. 8A is a front view of the cover 2 seen from the front side, FIG. 8B is a side view of the cover 2 seen along the X axis, and FIG. 8C is a side view of the cover 2 seen along the Y axis.
As shown in FIG. 8A, the cover 2 has a cover main body 215 having a substantially “C” arc shape when viewed along the Z axis, and two end faces of the cover main body 215 facing in the X-axis direction. It is provided with a connecting portion 11 for connecting the above. The lumen of the cover 2 surrounded by the cover main body 215 and the connecting portion 11 is an accommodating portion 10 capable of accommodating the connector main portion 910. The inner peripheral surface of the accommodating portion 10 is a cylindrical surface, which is composed of a cover main body 215 and a connecting portion 11. The central axis of the cylindrical surface of the accommodating portion 10 is parallel to the Z axis and defines the axis of the cover 2 (not shown). A groove 12 extending in the Z-axis direction is formed along the connecting portion 11. The outer surface of the connecting portion 11 (the surface facing outward in the radial direction) constitutes the bottom surface of the groove 12. The cover 2 differs from the cover 1 in shape, as described in detail below.
The cover 2 includes a skirt 220 extending rearward from the cover body 215. The cross-sectional shape of the skirt 220 along the XY plane is substantially "U", and the cross-sectional shape of the substantially "U" is the same side as the cover body 215 on the XY plane (the side opposite to the arrow on the Y axis, and the following). It is open toward the "connecting portion 11 side"). The portion of the skirt 220 that is separated from each other and faces each other in the X-axis direction is the facing portion 221. The gap between the pair of facing portions 221 is open toward the connecting portion 11 side and the rear, and communicates with the accommodating portion 10, the groove 12, and the recess 18. The surfaces of the pair of facing portions 221 facing each other (inner surface of the facing portions 221) are substantially flat surfaces parallel to the YZ plane. The distance between the pair of facing portions 221 along the X-axis direction is substantially the same as the thickness direction dimension of the base end portion 920 (or grip portion 923, see FIG. 1A) of the male connector 900, and the groove 12 and It is the same as the inner dimension of the recess 18 in the X-axis direction, and is smaller than the inner diameter of the cylindrical surface that defines the accommodating portion 10. Therefore, a stepped surface 225 depending on the difference in internal dimensions in the X-axis direction is formed between the accommodating portion 10 and the facing portion 221 (see FIGS. 7A and 7B). The step surface 225 is a flat surface parallel to the XY surface.
The cover 2 further includes a pair of collars 230 protruding forward from the cover body 215. The collar 230 is a rib extending along the Y axis. The pair of collars 230 are separated from each other and face each other in the X-axis direction. The gap between the pair of collars 230 is open toward the front and communicates with the accommodating portion 10 and the groove 12.
The cover body 215 is formed with a through hole 219 that penetrates the cover body 215 in the X-axis direction. The through hole 219 communicates the accommodating portion 10 with the outside world.
As shown in FIGS. 8A to 8C, the external shape of the cover 2 as a whole is X as compared with the second outer dimension L2 along the Y-axis direction and the third outer dimension L3 along the Z-axis direction. The first outer dimension L1 along the axial direction has a small flat shape (L1 <L2, L1 <L3). The two side surfaces 216 facing outward in the X-axis direction are both smooth convex curved surfaces bulging in a dome shape. The two side surfaces 216 are symmetrical with respect to the YZ plane including the axis of the cover 2.
The cover 2 can be attached to and detached from the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 1A and 1B) described in the first embodiment. The cover 2 can be attached to and detached from the male connector 900 by inserting and removing the connector main portion 910 of the male connector 900 into the skirt 220 (or between the pair of facing portions 221). Unlike the first embodiment, when viewed along the X axis, the connector main portion 910 can be inserted and removed diagonally with respect to the axis of the cover 2 on the connecting portion 11 side with respect to the axis of the cover 2. The distance between the pair of facing portions 221 is smaller than the outer diameter of the connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915). However, since the cover 2 is made of a cushioning material, the skirt 220 is easily deformed so that the distance between the pair of facing portions 221 increases as the connector main portion 910 passes through the skirt 220.
FIG. 9A is a perspective view of the cover 2 attached to the male connector 900. The cap 930 is not attached to the connector main portion 910 (with the cover attached and the cap not attached). 9B is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 9A along the YZ plane, and FIG. 9C is a cross-sectional view of FIG. 9A along the XZ plane. The connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915) and the ring 937 are accommodated in the accommodating portion 10 (see FIGS. 7A, 7B, 8A) of the cover 2. The connecting portion 11 faces the connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915) in the radial direction. The step 905 (see FIG. 1A) of the male connector 900 faces (or abuts) the step surface 225 (see FIGS. 7B and 7C) of the cover 2 in the Z-axis direction. The connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915) is exposed to the outside world through the through hole 219 provided in the cover 2. The band 935 of the male connector 900 is located on the base end portion 920 side (rear side) with respect to the connecting portion 11 of the cover 2, is housed in the recess 18, and is axially opposed (or abutted) to the connecting portion 11. )are doing. The band 935 extends along the Y axis so as to project outward in the radial direction from the connecting portion 11. The base end portion 920 of the male connector 900 is located within the skirt 220 (or between the pair of facing portions 221) and is substantially covered by the skirt 220. The skirt 220 (or the facing portion 221) faces the grip surface 924 (see FIG. 1A) of the base end portion 920 in the X-axis direction. The tube 909 derived from the base end portion 920 is derived from the skirt 220 (or between the pair of facing portions 221) along the Z axis. A pair of collars 230 project forward from the tip of the connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915). However, as in the first embodiment, the tip of the connector main portion 910 is not covered with the cover 2 and is exposed toward the outside world (forward) in the axial direction. When viewed along the X-axis direction, the connector main body 901 is housed in the cover 2 without protruding from the outer peripheral edge of the cover 2. The cap 930 can be attached to the connector main portion 910 from the state of FIGS. 9A to 9C (the cover is attached and the cap is not attached).
FIG. 10A is a perspective view of a state in which the cover 2 is attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910 (cover attached / cap attached state). FIG. 10B is a cross-sectional view taken along the YZ plane of FIG. 10A.
As shown in FIG. 10B, the band 935 is housed in the groove 12 along the connecting portion 11 of the cover 2, and while bending, straddles the connecting portion 11 of the cover 2 and moves toward the tip end side of the connector main portion 910. It is extended. The connecting portion 11 is surrounded by a band 935 and an outer cylinder 915. The largest radial outward protrusion is the cover 2, not the tab 933 and band 935. When viewed along the X-axis, the male connector 900 does not protrude from the outer peripheral edge of the cover 2, except for a part of the cap 930.
Similar to the first embodiment, the cap 930 can be removed from the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 9A to 9C). That is, with the cover 2 attached to the male connector 900, the cap 930 can be repeatedly attached (see FIGS. 10A and 10B) and removed (see FIGS. 9A to 9C) to the connector main portion 910. can. If the male connector 900 is pulled out from the skirt 220 (or between the pair of facing portions 221) with the cap 930 separated from the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 9A to 9C), the cover 2 can be separated from the male connector 900. can. The cover 2 can be repeatedly attached to and detached from the male connector 900.
The cover 2 can be used in the same manner as the cover 1 of the first embodiment. The cover 2 is placed in the patient with the cover 2 attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 attached to the connector main portion 910 (cover attached / cap attached state, see FIGS. 10A and 10B). For nasal tube feeding, the cap 930 is separated from the connector main part 910 (see FIGS. 9A-9C). Then, although not shown, a female connector 950 (see FIGS. 5A and 5B) is connected to the male connector 900. After nasal tube feeding is complete, the female connector 950 is separated from the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 9A-9C) and a cap 930 is instead attached to the connector main 910 (see FIGS. 10A and 10B). The male connector 900 is placed in the patient together with the tube 909 in this state (cover attached / cap attached state).
The cover 2 of the second embodiment includes a skirt 220 extending rearward from the cover main body 215 constituting the accommodating portion 10. The male connector 900 is inserted into and removed from the cover 2 via the skirt 220 (or between the pair of facing portions 221). More specifically, the male connector 900 is inserted into the skirt 220 in the order of the connector main portion 910 and the proximal end portion 920. After that, the male connector 900 is pulled out from the skirt 220 in the order of the base end portion 920 and the connector main portion 910.
When the cover 2 is attached to the male connector 900, the skirt 220 faces the base end portion 920 in the radial direction. Therefore, when the male connector 900 to which the cover 2 is attached is placed under the patient, the possibility that the proximal end portion 920 touches the patient is further lower than that in the first embodiment. The skirt 220 is advantageous in reducing the pain that the proximal end 920 inflicts on the patient when the male connector 900 to which the cover 2 is attached is placed under the patient.
The cover 2 further includes a pair of collars 230 extending forward from the cover body 215. In the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 10A and 10B), the pair of collars 230 have the cap 930 sandwiched between them and face the cap 930 in the radial direction. Therefore, when the male connector 900 to which the cover 2 is attached is placed under the patient, the possibility that the cap 930 touches the patient is further lower than that of the first embodiment. The collar 230 is advantageous in reducing the pain that the cap 930 inflicts on the patient when the male connector 900 to which the cover 2 is attached is placed under the patient.
As described above, the cover 2 of the second embodiment includes the skirt 220 and the collar 230 in addition to the cover main body 215. Therefore, the cover 2 can further reduce the pain felt by the patient when the male connector 900 is placed under the patient. Even if the male connector 900 remains under the patient, the patient is less likely to develop a pressure ulcer.
The distance between the pair of collars 230 increases toward the front. Therefore, the operator can easily access the cap 930 (sealing plate 931) and the tab 933 in the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 10A and 10B). The work of removing the cap 930 from the connector main portion 910 is easy.
In the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 10A and 10B), the tab 933 is separated from the front end surface 17a of the cover 2 in the Z-axis direction (see FIG. 10B). Therefore, even though the collar 230 projects forward from the front end surface 17a, it is easy to put a finger on the tab 933 to separate the cap 930 from the connector main portion 910.
Similar to the first embodiment, in the state where the cover 2 is attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 is not attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910 (the cover is attached / the cap is not attached, see FIGS. 9A to 9C). The tip of the connector main portion 910 is exposed toward the outside world in the axial direction (Z-axis direction) of the male connector 900. Therefore, with the cover 2 attached to the male connector 900, either the cap 930 or the female connector 950 can be connected and separated from the male connector 900 as many times as necessary.
Similar to the first embodiment, in the cover-attached / cap-non-attached state (see FIGS. 9A to 9C), the band 935 is arranged on the base end portion 920 side with respect to the connecting portion 11. After that, when the cap 930 is attached to the tip of the connector main portion 910, the band 935 is curved and extends across the connecting portion 11 toward the tip end side of the connector main portion 910 (see FIG. 10B). The connecting portion 11 is surrounded by the connector main body 901 (particularly the connector main portion 910 thereof) and the band 935. When the male connector 900 with the cover attached and the cap attached (see FIGS. 10A and 10B) is placed in the patient, it is unlikely that the cover 2 is unintentionally separated from the male connector 900.
The cover 2 is provided with a stepped surface 225 (engagement structure) between the accommodating portion 10 and the skirt 220 (or its facing portion 221). When the cover 2 is attached to the male connector 900, the step surface 225 engages with the step 905 of the male connector 900 in the Z-axis direction. The step 905 functions to prevent the cover 2 from moving forward with respect to the male connector 900 when the cover is attached and the cap is not attached (see FIGS. 9A to 9C). Therefore, for example, when the cap 930 is separated from the connector main portion 910 for nasal tube feeding, it is possible to prevent the cover 2 from being unintentionally dropped from the male connector 900. Further, it is possible to prevent the cover 2 from moving to the female connector 950 side in a state where the female connector 950 is connected to the male connector 900 and nasal tube feeding is performed.
The stepped surface 225 is formed depending on the difference in internal dimensions in the X-axis direction between the accommodating portion 10 and the skirt 220. The stepped surface 225 functions as an engaging structure with which the male connector 900 is engaged. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide a special engagement structure. This is advantageous for simplifying the structure of the cover 2.
The cover 2 has a flat shape in which the first outer dimension L1 along the X-axis direction is smaller than the second outer dimension L2 along the Y-axis direction and the third outer dimension L3 along the Z-axis direction (FIG. 8A to 8C). Therefore, in the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 10A and 10B), the cover 2 (see FIGS. 10A and 10B) is placed on the bedding or the like in the X-axis direction of the cover 2 having a relatively small outer dimension. Is likely to face up and down.
The cover 2 is attached to the male connector 900 so that the Y-axis of the cover 2 is parallel to the long axis of the base end portion 920 (that is, the Y-axis of the male connector 900). Therefore, when the X-axis of the cover 2 faces in the vertical direction on the bedding or the like, the long axis of the base end portion 920 (grip portion 923) becomes parallel to the horizontal direction. This reduces the pain that the base end 920 of the male connector 900 under the patient gives to the patient as compared to the case where the long axis of the base end 920 (grip portion 923) is parallel to the vertical direction. It is advantageous to.
The skirt 220 of the cover 2 includes a pair of facing portions 221 facing each other in the X-axis direction. When the cover 2 is attached to the male connector 900, the base end portion 920 is arranged between the pair of facing portions 221. Therefore, when the X-axis of the cover 2 faces in the vertical direction on the bedding or the like, the facing portions 221 are arranged vertically with respect to the base end portion 920. This is advantageous in reducing the pain that the proximal end 920 inflicts on the patient when the male connector 900 to which the cover 2 is attached is placed under the patient.
The cover 2 includes a pair of collars 230 facing each other in the X-axis direction. In the cover-mounted / cap-mounted state (see FIGS. 10A and 10B), the cap 930 is arranged between the pair of collars 230. Therefore, when the X-axis of the cover 2 faces in the vertical direction on the bedding or the like, the collar 230 is arranged vertically with respect to the cap 930. This is advantageous in reducing the pain that the cap 930 inflicts on the patient when the male connector 900 to which the cover 2 is attached is placed under the patient.
The connecting portion 11 extends in the X-axis direction and connects the end faces of the cover main body 215 facing the X-axis direction (see FIG. 8A). Therefore, when the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 10A and 10B) with the cover attached and the cap attached is placed under the patient with the X-axis of the cover 2 facing in the vertical direction, the band 935 protrudes in the horizontal direction. .. This is advantageous in reducing the pain that the band 935 inflicts on the patient as compared to the case where the band 935 projects vertically. Similarly, the tab 933 provided on the sealing plate 931 also projects horizontally. This is advantageous in reducing the pain that the tab 933 inflicts on the patient.
When the cover 2 attached to the male connector 900 is viewed along the X axis, the connector body 901 does not protrude from the outer peripheral edge of the cover 2 (see FIG. 10B). Therefore, when the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 10A and 10B) with the cover attached and the cap attached is placed under the patient with the X-axis direction of the cover 2 facing up and down, the rigid connector body 901 becomes the patient. The possibility of touching is further reduced. This is advantageous in reducing the pain that the connector body 901 inflicts on the patient when the male connector 900 is placed under the patient.
The male connector 900 (particularly the connector main portion 910) housed in the lumen 10 can be visually recognized through the through hole 19 (see FIGS. 9A, 9C, and 10A). Information regarding the dimensions of the male connector 900 or the tube 909 may be described on the outer peripheral surface of the connector main portion 910 (outer cylinder 915). In such a case, the information can be visually recognized through the through hole 19 with the cover 2 attached to the male connector 900. The number of through holes 19 does not have to be two, but may be one. In the present invention, the through hole 19 may be omitted.
The second embodiment is merely an example, and the second embodiment can be changed as appropriate.
For example, when the cover 2 attached to the male connector 900 is viewed along the X axis, a part of the base end portion may protrude from the outer peripheral edge of the skirt 220. When the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 10A and 10B) with the cover attached and the cap attached is viewed along the X axis, the cap 930 may not be visible due to the collar 230.
The engagement structure of the cover 2 that can be engaged with the male connector 900 is not limited to the step surface 225 (see FIGS. 6B and 6C) that engages with the step 905 (see FIG. 1A) of the male connector 900. For example, the engagement structure may engage with the rear end of the base end portion 920 (particularly its grip portion 923) of the male connector 900 in the Z-axis direction.
The cover does not have to have an engaging structure (step surface 225). For example, a cylindrical surface continuous with the accommodating portion 10 may be formed in the skirt 220.
The cover 2 does not have to have either the skirt 220 or the collar 230. When the cover 2 does not have the collar 230, when the male connector 900 with the cover attached and the cap not attached is viewed along the X-axis and / or the Y-axis, a part of the connector main part is not covered with the cover. , May be exposed towards the outside world.
The external shape of the cover 2 can be changed arbitrarily.
For example, the external shape of the cover is not limited to a flat shape in which the first outer dimension L1 along the X-axis direction is relatively small. For example, the first outer dimension L1 along the X-axis direction and the second outer dimension L2 along the Y-axis direction may be substantially the same. Specifically, the external shape of the cover 2 may be a cylinder, a polygonal column (for example, a square column, a hexagonal column), a cube, a sphere, a rugby ball shape, or the like. A cover having such a shape does not always face up and down in the X-axis direction on bedding or the like. However, by increasing the radial dimension (thickness) of the cover, it is possible to reduce the pain felt by the patient when the connector 900 is placed under the patient, regardless of the orientation of the cover.
The shape seen along the X axis of the cover 2 may also be oval (or oval), rectangular, rhombic, hexagonal, octagonal, track and field track shape, or the like. In general, since the major axis direction of the connector 900 is the axial direction thereof, it is preferable that the cover 2 has a major axis in the axial direction (Z axis direction).
When the female connector 950 is connected to the male connector 900, the collar 230 may extend further forward so that the collar 230 faces the female connector 950 in the radial direction.
The collar 230 may be continuous in a substantially "U" shape (or a substantially "C" shape) along the front end surface 17a of the cover body 215.
The gap between the pair of collars 230 may be constant in the axial direction or may be smaller toward the front. The collar 230 may be curved towards its tip towards the axis of the cover. For example, when the male connector 900 with the cover attached and the cap not attached is viewed along the axis of the cover, a part or all of the connector main portion 910 may be covered with the collar 230. Even in this case, since the cover is made of a cushioning material, the collar 230 can be deformed outward in the radial direction to expose the tip of the connector main portion 910 axially toward the outside world. Therefore, similarly to the second embodiment, the cap 300 and the female connector 950 can be connected to and separated from the male connector 900 with the cover attached to the male connector 900.
The second embodiment is the same as the first embodiment except for the above. The description of the first embodiment also applies to the second embodiment.
(Embodiment 3)
FIG. 11A is a perspective view of the cover 3 according to the third embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 11B is a cross-sectional perspective view of the cover 3 along the YZ plane. FIG. 12A is a perspective view of the cover as viewed from another direction. FIG. 12B is a front view seen from the front side of the cover 3. FIG. 13 is a perspective view of the cover 3 attached to the male connector 900. The cap 930 is not attached to the connector main portion 910 (with the cover attached and the cap not attached). FIG. 14A is a perspective view showing a state in which the cover 3 is attached to the male connector 900 and the cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910 (cover attached / cap attached state). 14B is a cross-sectional view taken along the YZ plane of FIG. 14A.
In the third embodiment, the skirt 220 of the cover 3 is provided with a notch 323. The notch 323 forms a concave curve on the outer peripheral edge of the facing portion 221 when viewed along the X-axis (see FIG. 14B). The notch 323 is on the connecting portion 11 side with respect to the axis of the cover 3 (which coincides with the axis of the cylindrical accommodating portion 10) when viewed along the X axis, and is behind the connecting portion 11. Is located in. The distance from the outer peripheral edge of the facing portion 221 to the accommodating portion 10 is almost the minimum at the position of the notch 323.
The cover 3 can be attached to and detached from the male connector 900 (see FIGS. 1A and 1B) described in the first embodiment, similarly to the cover 2 of the second embodiment. Detachment is performed by inserting and removing the male connector 900 (particularly the connector main portion 910) into the skirt 220 (or between the pair of facing portions 221).
The cover 2 of embodiment 2 described above was symmetrical with respect to the axis of the cover 2 (which is defined by the central axis of the accommodating portion 10 having a cylindrical shape) when viewed along the X axis (as defined by the central axis of the accommodating portion 10 having a cylindrical shape). See FIG. 8B). Therefore, it is unclear on which side of the cover 2 (the right side or the left side of FIG. 8B) the connecting portion 11 is located just by looking along the X axis. It is necessary to rotate the cover 2 slightly around the axis to check the connecting portion 11.
On the other hand, the cover 3 of the present embodiment 3 is asymmetric with respect to the axis of the cover 3 when viewed along the X axis. The connecting portion 11 is arranged on the same side as the notch 323 with respect to the axis of the cover 3. Therefore, when inserting the male connector 900 into the cover 3, for example, the male connector 900 may be held by the right hand, the cover 3 may be held by the left hand, and the notch 323 may be held so as to face the male connector 900 side (right side). When pulling out the male connector 900 from the cover 3, for example, the cover 3 may be held with the left hand, the notch 323 may be held toward the right side, and the base end portion 920 may be grasped through the notch 323 with the right hand. In this way, the notch 323 makes it possible to recognize the position where the male connector 900 is inserted / removed with respect to the cover 3 only by looking at the cover 3 along the X axis.
When the male connector 900 is inserted into the cover 3, the connector main portion 910 can be pressed against the concave curve of the outer peripheral edge of the facing portion 221 formed by the notch 323. The connector main portion 910 having a diameter larger than the distance between the pair of facing portions 221 can be positioned on the facing portion 221 without slipping along the outer peripheral edge of the facing portion 221. Therefore, the mountability of the cover 3 to the male connector 900 is improved.
Further, when the cover 3 is attached to the male connector 900, if the connector main portion 910 is inserted into the cover 3 from the position of the notch 323, the connector main portion 910 can be reached to the accommodating portion 10 in the shortest distance. Similarly, when the cover 3 is separated from the male connector 900, the connector main portion 910 can be pulled out from the accommodating portion 10 at the shortest distance by moving the connector main portion 910 toward the notch 323. In this way, by using the notch 323 as a mark when the cover 3 is attached to and detached from the male connector 900, the distance through which the connector main portion 910 having a larger diameter passes between the pair of facing portions 221 can be increased. It gets shorter. Therefore, the detachability of the cover 3 with respect to the male connector 900 is improved.
As shown in FIG. 12A, the cover 3 is provided with a flat surface 327 on its outer surface. The flat surface 327 is provided at a position opposite to the connecting portion 11 (or the groove 12) in the Y-axis direction. The flat surface 327 is a plane parallel to the XZ surface. The pair of side surfaces 216, each of which is a convex curved surface, are connected via a flat surface 327. The flat surface 327 is advantageous for facilitating the manufacture of the cover 3 when the cover 3 is molded by using a mold. The reason is as follows.
The cover of the present invention can be manufactured by injection molding a resin material in a mold. The mold is composed of a combination of a plurality of mold pieces. In this case, the position of the mold pieces may shift or a gap may occur between adjacent mold pieces. These can cause burrs on the molded cover. In the third embodiment, the mold can be designed so that the butt surface (generally referred to as a parting surface) of adjacent mold pieces is arranged on the flat surface 327. This facilitates the manufacture of the mold in which the above-mentioned misalignment and gaps are unlikely to occur, and it is possible to suppress the generation of burrs on the cover.
The flat surface 327 of the third embodiment is parallel to the XZ surface, but is not limited thereto. Generally, the flat surface 327 is preferably parallel to the dividing direction of the mold for forming the cover 3 (for example, the X-axis direction, that is, the extending direction of the connecting portion 11).
The cover 3 may include the through hole 19 that the cover 2 of the second embodiment has.
The third embodiment is the same as the first and second embodiments except for the above. The description of the first and second embodiments also applies to the third embodiment.
(Embodiment 4)
FIG. 15 is a perspective view of the cover 4 according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 16A is a perspective view of the cover 4 as viewed from another direction. FIG. 16B is a front view seen from the front side of the cover 4.
The cover 4 of the present embodiment 4 is different from the cover 3 of the third embodiment in its appearance shape. As can be easily understood by comparing FIG. 16A with FIG. 12A showing the cover 3, in the cover 4, the X-axis direction dimension of the flat surface 427 (corresponding to the flat surface 327 of the cover 3) is reduced. A pair of side surfaces 216, which are convex curved surfaces, extend to the opposite side of the connecting portion 11 (or groove 12) and are connected to a thin flat surface 427. Therefore, as can be seen by comparing FIG. 16B with FIGS. 8A and 12B, the outer surface of the cover 4 on the opposite side of the connecting portion 11 (or groove 12) is substantially smooth with no sharp corners. It is a convex curved surface. The cover 4 is advantageous for reducing the pain felt by the patient when the male connector 900 to which the cover 4 is attached is placed under the patient.
The cover 4 may include the through hole 19 that the cover 2 of the second embodiment has.
The present embodiment 4 is the same as the third embodiment except for the above. The description of the third embodiment and the description of the first and second embodiments applied to the third embodiment also apply to the fourth embodiment.
The above embodiments 1 to 4 are merely examples. The present invention is not limited to the above-described first to fourth embodiments, and can be appropriately modified.
The number of connecting portions 11 provided on the cover is not limited to one. For example, the cover may have two connecting portions 11 arranged symmetrically with respect to its axis. In this case, the cover may be rotationally symmetric twice with respect to the axis (a shape that matches the shape before rotation when rotated 180 degrees around the axis). When the cover includes a plurality of connecting portions 11, when the cover is attached to the male connector 900, the alignment of the cover around the axis with respect to the male connector 900 is simplified.
The outer surface of the cover of the present invention may be provided with a hole (second hole) in addition to the through hole (first hole) 19 (see FIGS. 6, 7A and 7B) of the second embodiment. 17A and 17B show a cover 1'in which a large number of holes 119 are provided on the outer surface of the cover 1 of the first embodiment. The hole 119 penetrates the cover 1'(especially the cover body 15) along the Z-axis direction. When viewed along the Z axis, the holes 119 each have a regular hexagonal plan view shape and are arranged in a honeycomb shape on the cover main body 15. The holes that can be provided on the outer surface of the cover of the present invention are not limited to the holes 119. In FIGS. 17A and 17B, the hole 119 is a through hole penetrating the cover 1', but the hole that can be provided in the cover of the present invention may be a non-through hole (so-called blind hole) that does not penetrate the cover. .. The depth of the non-through hole is arbitrary, and the depth of the hole may be deeper or shallower than the opening diameter of the hole. The plan view shape of the hole is not limited to a regular hexagon, and may be, for example, a circle or an arbitrary polygon (quadrangle, octagon, etc.). The arrangement of the holes is not limited to the honeycomb arrangement. The hole may be provided on the outer surface (for example, the connecting portion 11) of the cover other than the cover main body 15. The holes may be provided on the outer surface of the cover (for example, the outer peripheral surface 16 of the cover 1 in FIG. 1A) other than the end surface (17a or 17b) substantially perpendicular to the Z axis. The hole may extend along any direction other than the Z-axis direction (eg, radial direction). The number of holes is arbitrary. The plurality of holes need not be evenly distributed on the cover, but may be arranged only in a specific area of the cover. Providing such a hole on the outer surface of the cover is advantageous for reducing the weight of the cover and adjusting the cushioning property of the cover without substantially changing the outer dimensions and the external shape of the cover. The same holes as described above may be provided on the outer surface of the covers 2 to 4 of the embodiments 2 to 4.
The configuration of the male connector 900 to which the cover is attached is not limited to the above embodiment. The cover may be changed as appropriate depending on the male connector. For example, in the cap 930, the tab 933 may protrude from the sealing plate 931 along the axis of the cap 930 instead of protruding from the sealing plate 931 in the radial direction. The cap 930 may not be provided with a tab 933. The sealing plate 931 of the cap 930 may have an outer diameter larger than the outer diameter of the outer cylinder 915. When the cap 930 is attached to the connector main portion 910 (see FIGS. 4C, 10B, 14B), a protrusion (see FIG. 4C, FIG. 10B, FIG. 14B) that is inserted into the flow path 919 of the male member 911 and closely adheres to the inner peripheral surface of the male member 911. A sealing protrusion) may be provided on the cap 930. When the cap 930 is provided with the sealing protrusion, the cap 930 may or may not be further provided with the sealing cylinder 932. The band 935 does not have to be derived from the connector body 901. For example, a ring (annular body) similar to the ring 937 may be provided at the base end of the band 935, and the tube 909 may be inserted into the ring. In this case, the ring may or may not move freely along the longitudinal direction of the tube 909. The grip portion 923 does not have to have a substantially quadrangular prism shape, and may be, for example, a pair of thin plates extending in opposite directions along the long axis direction (Y axis direction) from the cylindrical connection cylinder 921. good. Alternatively, the grip portion 923 may have a cylindrical shape surrounding the connection cylinder 921. The base end portion 920 may be composed of only a cylindrical connection cylinder 921 without providing a grip portion 923. The entire connector body 901 does not have to be made of a rigid material. For example, a portion that is not directly involved in the connection with the female connector 950 (for example, the base end portion 920) may be made of a soft material that is relatively easily deformed.
The cover of the above embodiment is attached to and detached from the male connector 900 used for nasal tube feeding, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The male connector to which the cover of the present invention is applied may be any male connector provided on the tube indwelled in the patient. Specifically, the male connector may be, for example, a male connector provided in a tube used for tube feeding other than a nasal tube. Alternatively, it may be a male connector provided at the upstream end of a tube (extension tube) connected to the tube indwelled in the patient. The covers of the present invention may be applied to male connectors that are not placed in the patient.
The present invention can be widely used in the medical field. Above all, the present invention can be used as a cover that is detachably attached to a male connector provided at the upstream end of a tube placed in a patient.
