[001] The present invention refers to a differential pedaling system. Inserted in the technical field of mechanical engineering, more precisely in systems for improving the use of mechanical energy applied to human-powered vehicles, the apparatus consists of an angled counterweight juxtaposed to the transmission system of bicycles/tricycles and the like.
[002] The developed set can be adapted in existing equipment or manufactured in new models. Allowing great accessibility and applicability of technology.
Descrição do estado da técnica: Description of the state of the art:
Ainda neste século, Pierre Michaux, apoiando- se no desenho original da draisiana, desenvolve um sistema de propulsão através de pedais introduzidos ligados diretamente à roda dianteira, recebendo o nome de Velocípede [003] The history of the bicycle begins with the development of the "draisiana", at the beginning of the 18th century, a rudimentary bicycle, idealized as a toy, which allowed curves with the maintenance of balance, with a modest braking system and still without the propulsion. through pedals. Still in this century, Pierre Michaux, based on the original design of the draisiana, developed a propulsion system through introduced pedals connected directly to the front wheel, receiving the name of Velocipede.
[004] The Industrial Revolution, throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, was a time of countless transformations within the social organization in force until then. The revolution that took place in the transport sector stands out, with human-powered vehicles gaining ground as an alternative for leisure and cheap transport, until the development of motor transport.
[005] In the years that followed, motor vehicles were widely used and valued at the expense of human-powered vehicles. Today, as a result of this policy, mobility in large cities has resulted in more pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, congestion, risks to life and serious injury, noise and disruption to communities and ecosystems. [006] In this context, urban mobility based on the use of sustainable vehicles has acquired considerable importance. The bicycle is the means of transport that has the lowest primary energy consumption in MJ (Mega Joule) per passenger-km. The car, on the other hand, is the mode with the highest consumption.
[007] Non-polluting, silent, economical, discreet and accessible to all family members, the bicycle is the fastest and most efficient means of transport on short urban journeys, in addition to ensuring better accessibility to the population. The European Commission mentions that "the potential or proven benefits of cycling can never be exhaustively established".
[008] For all this conjunction of elements, and in the current search for alternative means of transport, the production of bicycles has evolved in an important way, already counting on electric motorization combined with human propulsion and several other factors that offer the user safety, comfort and performance. From a simple and basic means of transport, the bicycle has evolved for use in leisure, sport and also for efficient urban mobility.
[009] The diversity of options for bicycle/tricycle models on the market is impressive. These are options that aim to contemplate not only leisure, but also work tools, especially in cases of delivery, and not least, locomotion instruments applied to various purposes.
[0010] Regarding the patents developed and the state of the art as a whole, the situation is not different. It is possible to find several models and technologies that aim to improve these vehicles, from different proposals, from weight reduction, electric or hybrid engines to designs developed to increase aerodynamic efficiency. However, proposals to change the default functioning are rare. Few chain-related modernizations were made.
[0011] Some of these solutions are presented in the patent documents described below: CN1080901A discloses a mechanism to keep the left pedal in the third quadrant of the rectangular coordinate system. Your principle is that two pedals, two larger cranks, two crank studs, center axle and sprocket are integrated into a whole and the center of gravity which is originally on the axle centerline is offset by counterweight.
[0012] TW201236891 provides a counterweight, which is adapted for a bicycle wheel, comprises a connecting part and two counterweight parts. The connecting part is made of a bendable material. The counterweight portions respectively connect to two distal ends of the connecting portion. In this way, users can bend the connecting part to attach the counterweight to the bicycle wheel and thus counterbalance an eccentric wheel structure.
[0013] US2014028079A1 protects a bicycle wheel including a rim with one or more counterweight assemblies. The counterweight set includes a receiver attached to the rim and a counterweight that is attached to the receiver.
Breve descrição do objetivo: Brief description of the objective:
[0014] Unlike the products commonly found on the market and the patent applications described, the present invention, scope of this document, aims to replace the movement transmission system by crank that drives the crown of the bicycle, for a system of arm of lever and counterweight, with a mechanical performance far superior to other technologies.
Seus detalhes podem ser melhor compreendidos pela seguinte descrição detalhada em consonância com as figuras em anexo, onde: [0015] Furthermore, it is intended to be adapted to human-powered vehicles already manufactured, such as bicycles, tricycles and even pedal boats. From a simple procedure for exchanging and replacing parts. Its details can be better understood by the following detailed description in line with the attached figures, where:
Figure 1 refers to a schematic representation, in isometric view, of the apparatus (1) used in the intelligent pedaling system, in which (CP) refers to a counterweight, (P) to a generic pedal and (E) to region in which an axis will be inserted to transmit the movement.
Descrição detalhada da invenção: Figure 2 identifies the same apparatus (1), in front view. Detailed description of the invention:
[0016] The intelligent pedaling system is used from the insertion of the apparatus (1) on the crown axis of human-powered vehicles. Notably, for the correct functioning of the technology, an apparatus (1) is required for each side of the vehicle (bicycle, tricycle, pedal boat, etc.)
[0017] It can be manufactured from various metallic materials, such as aluminum or steel, but not limited to them, the apparatus (1) has a central region (E) for inserting the crown axle of the bicycle or similar vehicle. Counterweight (CP) can be produced in different designs and shapes, especially from materials with a high specific weight, such as lead.
[0018] The counterweight (CP) has the function of returning the pedal to a higher vertical position, after the cyclist exerts a downward force on it. From these mechanisms it will not be necessary to make the classic circular movement to pedal, but an "up and down" movement. These changes serve to optimize the user's effort with the aid of gravity and also prevent wear and tear and injuries in the knee region.
[0019] The angulation of 45 Q referring to the center of mass of the counterweight (CP) and the central axis, as shown in figure 2, guarantees maximum efficiency for the mechanism. The technology has versatility for adaptation in vehicles already manufactured or use in new models.
[0020] The replacement of the movement transmission system by crank that drives the bike's crown, normally used, by a lever arm and counterweight system guarantees a mechanical performance much superior to other technologies, reducing effort and energy expenditure, ensuring lower primary energy consumption per passenger-km.
[0021] While this embodiment of the present invention is described, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes, modifications, substitutions or alterations may be made without departing from the principle and spirit of the present invention.
