Abstract

A groove (14) is formed at least on the back side of an armrest (6). The groove (14) extends in a direction that intersects with the front-to-back direction of a door. A tether (15) extends from the armrest (6) in front of the groove (14), and a tether locking part that corresponds to the tether (15) is provided on the door trim side. The tether (15) is lockable with the tether locking part when an attachment locking part (12) on the armrest (6) side is in a disengaged state of being separated from an attachment engagement part on the trim side. The tether (15) and the tether locking part allow movement of the armrest (6) with respect to door trim, between the disengaged state an engaged state where the attachment locking part (12) is engaged with the attachment engagement part. Locking of the tether (15) with the tether locking part prevents the front side of the armrest (6) from dropping from the door trim.

Description

Vehicle armrest mounting structure
The present disclosure relates to an armrest mounting structure of a vehicle in which the armrest is detachably mounted on the door trim.
Patent Document 1 describes a structure in which an armrest support portion is formed in a bulging shape on the door trim and the armrest is attached to the upper surface of the armrest support portion. An opening (upper surface opening) is opened on the upper surface of the armrest support portion, and a plurality of locking pieces are formed so as to project downward toward the tip on the inner surface of the armrest, and the locking pieces are locked to the edge of the upper surface opening. By doing so, the armrest is attached to the armrest support.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-329732
In the mounting structure of Patent Document 1, when the vehicle receives a side collision (side collision) and a load is applied to the door inward in the width direction of the door, the locking piece is disengaged from the upper opening and the armrest is moved from the door trim. There is a possibility of peeling. Here, comparing the front end and the rear end of the armrest, there are occupants and seat backs seated on the seats on the side (inside the vehicle interior) of the rear end of the armrests, and these occupants and seat backs, etc. In many cases, the movement of the armrest to the passenger compartment side is restrained by the obstacles of the armrest, whereas there is no obstacle to restrain the movement of the armrest to the passenger compartment side on the side of the front end of the armrest. In many cases. Therefore, the front side of the armrest is more likely to fall off from the door trim than the rear side, and the front side of the fallen armrest may collide with an occupant seated on the seat.
Such inconvenience can be solved by firmly fixing the armrest to the door trim with screws or the like so that the armrest does not separate from the door trim. However, due to the structure of the door, it may be necessary to remove the armrest from the door trim in order to remove the door trim from the door panel. Considering the workability of parts replacement and maintenance, it is preferable that the armrest can be easily attached and detached.
Therefore, the purpose of this disclosure is to prevent the front side of the armrest from falling off without impairing the workability of attaching and detaching the armrest from the door trim.
In order to achieve the above object, the present disclosure provides a mounting engaging portion on the door trim side, a mounting locking portion on the armrest side, and engaging the mounting locking portion with the mounting engaging portion so that the armrest can be doord. It is an armrest mounting structure of a vehicle that can be detachably attached to a door trim in a posture along the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and includes a groove, a tether, and a tether locking portion.
The groove is formed on at least the second surface of the first and second surfaces of the armrest that is not exposed to the passenger compartment side, and extends along the direction intersecting the front-rear direction of the door. The tether is located in front of the groove and extends from the armrest. The tether locking portion is provided on the door trim side corresponding to the tether, and the tether can be locked to the tether locking portion in a disengaged state in which the mounting locking portion is disengaged from the mounting engaging portion. The tether and the tether locking portion allow the armrest to move with respect to the door trim between the engagement completed state in which the mounting locking portion engages with the mounting engaging portion and the disengaged state. By locking the tether to the tether locking portion, the front side of the armrest is prevented from falling off from the door trim.
In the above configuration, the armrest is easily bent in the groove when the load is input from the outside in the width direction of the door. Therefore, when the vehicle (the door in the closed position that stands up along the front-rear direction of the vehicle) receives a side collision and the door trim is bent so as to be recessed inward in the vehicle width direction (vehicle interior side), the armrest is bent at the groove. As a result, it becomes easier to follow the deformation of the door trim, and the front side of the armrest becomes difficult to separate from the door trim. Further, even if the armrest cannot follow the deformation of the door trim and the mounting locking portion is disengaged from the mounting engaging portion and is in the disengaged state, the tether is locked to the tether locking portion to lock the door trim. The front side of the armrest is prevented from falling off. This makes it possible to prevent the front side of the armrest from falling off.
Further, since the tether and the tether locking portion allow the armrest to move with respect to the door trim between the engaged state and the disengaged state, the armrest is attached and detached in the same manner as when the tether is not provided. The mounting locking portion may be engaged with or disengaged from the mounting engaging portion. Therefore, the armrest can be easily attached and detached as compared with the case where the armrest is firmly fixed to the door trim by a screw or the like.
According to the armrest mounting structure of the present disclosure, it is possible to prevent the front side of the armrest from falling off without impairing the workability of attaching and detaching the armrest to the door trim.

The door panel 2 is formed by joining a door outer panel (not shown) on the outer side in the vehicle width direction and a door inner panel 4 on the inner side in the vehicle width direction, and a front end portion thereof is formed via two upper and lower door hinges (not shown). It is rotatably supported by the front edge of the door opening (on the vehicle body side).
The door trim 3 is a resin panel fixed to the inner surface (inner surface) of the door inner panel 4 in the door width direction. A resin pull box 5 is fixed to the door trim 3, and a resin armrest 6 is detachably attached to the door trim 3 and the pull box 5. The armrest 6 extends substantially horizontally from the rear end of the door 1 to substantially the center in the front-rear direction at a height position suitable for an armrest of an occupant seated on a seat (not shown) in the vehicle interior of the door 1. The pull box 5 has a box-like shape that opens upward, and is arranged outside the front end portion 6F of the armrest 6 in the door width direction. When closing the door 1, the occupant seated on the seat 1 can insert a finger into the pull box 5 from above, grasp the front end portion 6F of the armrest 6, and pull the door 1.
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 8, the armrest 6 has an L-shaped cross section, and the armrest side surface portion 7 extending substantially horizontally from the door trim 3 inward in the door width direction and the end edge of the armrest side surface portion 7 inside in the door width direction. It integrally has an armrest vertical surface portion 8 that extends downward from the armrest. At the front end portion 6F of the armrest, a notch-shaped recess 9 for exposing the opening of the pull box 5 upward is formed on the outer side of the armrest side surface portion 7 in the door width direction, and the width of the armrest side surface portion 7 is in the front-rear direction. The front end portion 6F is narrower than the center, the lower edge of the armrest vertical surface portion 8 is inclined upward toward the front, and the vertical width of the armrest vertical surface portion 8 is narrowed toward the front.
The armrest 6 is composed of a hard armrest base material 10 and a soft skin material 11 fixed to the armrest base material 10 and covering the outer surface of the armrest base material 10 (see FIG. 7). A plurality of clips 12 are fixed to the front surface (an example of the first surface) and the back surface (an example of the second surface) of the armrest 6 which are not exposed to the passenger compartment side (the back surface of the armrest base material 10) (FIG. 4). (See), the door trim 3 and the pull box 5 are formed with a plurality of clip engagement holes 13 corresponding to each clip 12 (see FIG. 6). The clip 12 constitutes a mounting locking portion provided on the armrest 6 side, and the clip engaging hole 13 constitutes a mounting engaging portion provided on the door trim 3 side. The clip 12 has a claw portion that can be engaged with the clip engaging hole 13. The clip 12 and the clip engaging hole 13 are each provided with at least two, preferably three or more. By inserting the clip 12 into the clip engaging hole 13 from above and engaging the clip 12, the armrest 6 is detachably attached to the door trim 3 in a posture along the front-rear direction of the door 1. Note that, in FIGS. 2, 4 and 8, only the armrest base material 10 is shown, and the skin material 11 is not shown.
A groove 14 is formed on the back surface of the front end portion 6F of the armrest 6 (armrest base material 10 in this embodiment) along the direction intersecting the front-rear direction of the door 1. The groove 14 is continuous from the outer end surface of the armrest lateral surface portion 7 in the door width direction to the lower end surface of the armrest vertical surface portion 8, extends linearly along the door width direction at the armrest lateral surface portion 7, and extends in the vertical direction at the armrest vertical surface portion 8. A groove 14 penetrates in the vertical direction at the outer end surface of the armrest side surface portion 7 in the door width direction (see FIG. 8). In addition to the back surface of the armrest base material 10, a groove may be formed on the front surface of the armrest base material 10. Further, a groove may be formed in the skin material 11 at the outer end portion of the armrest lateral surface portion 7 in the vehicle width direction, the lower end portion of the armrest vertical surface portion 8, and the like.
A tether 15 is fixed to the back surface of the front end portion 6F of the armrest 6 (armrest base material 10 in this embodiment), and a tether clerk corresponding to the tether 15 is attached to the door trim 3 side (pull box 5 in this embodiment). A stop 16 is provided. The tether 15 extends downward from the armrest 6 in front of the groove 14. Two clips 12 are provided in front of the groove 14, and a tether 15 is arranged between the two clips 12 (see FIG. 4). The tether locking portion 16 is composed of a pair of front and rear facing walls 22 facing each other at front and rear sides of a rectangular tether insertion hole 21 formed in the pull box 5 (see FIG. 6).
The tether 15 is formed at an upper end portion 17 (an example of a base portion) fixed to an armrest base portion 10 by a screw 20 (an example of a fastening member), an intermediate portion 18 extending downward from the upper end portion 17, and a lower end portion of the intermediate portion 18. It integrally has an arrowhead-shaped lower end 19 (an example of the tip) (see FIGS. 6 and 7). The lower end portion 19 has a shape that narrows from the intermediate portion 18 toward the tip end. The lower end 19 of the tether 15 is inserted into the tether insertion hole 21 from above. The front-rear width of the lower end 19 of the tether 15 is larger than the separation width of the tether locking portion 16 (distance between the lower ends of the front and rear facing walls 22), and the lower end 19 is inserted into the tether insertion hole 21 from above and downward. When pressed, the lower end portion 19 elastically deforms, passes through the tether insertion hole 21, and reaches below the tether locking portion 16. A hole extending in the extending direction of the tether 15 may be provided in the central portion of the tether 15 so as to be deformable in the width direction.
When assembling the armrest 6 to the door trim 3 side, the lower end 19 of the tether 15 is inserted into the tether insertion hole 21 from above and pushed down to the lower part of the tether locking portion 16, and then each clip 12 is engaged with the corresponding clip. Each engages with the holes 13. The lower end 19 of the tether 15 and the tether locking portion 16 are in an engagement completed state in which the clip 12 engages with the clip engaging hole 13 and in an disengaged state in which the clip 12 is disengaged from the clip engaging hole 13. Allows the armrest 6 to move relative to the door trim 3 between. In other words, in the assembled state in which the armrest 6 is assembled to the door trim 3, the distance D (see FIG. 6) between the tether locking portion 16 and the upper end of the lower end portion 19 of the tether 15 is such that the clip 12 is clipped with the clip engaging hole 13. It is set longer than the distance to move the armrest 6 with respect to the door trim 3 when it is removed from the door trim 3.
The upper end (locking surface, an example of the locking portion) of the lower end portion 19 of the tether 15 can be locked to the tether locking portion 16 in a disengaged state in which the clip 12 is disengaged from the clip engaging hole 13. .. By locking the tether 15 to the tether locking portion 16, the front side of the armrest 6 from the door trim 3 is prevented from falling off. The locking force between the tether 15 and the tether locking portion 16 (the force required to pull out the tether 15 from the tether locking portion 16 to release the locking) is related to the clip 12 and the clip engaging hole 13. It is set to be larger than the resultant force (the force required to pull out the clip 12 from the clip engaging hole 13 to release the engagement). For example, the protruding length of the locking portion of the tether 15 is set to be longer than the protruding length of the claw portion of the clip 12.
According to the present embodiment, the armrest 6 is easily bent in the groove 14 in response to the load input from the outside in the door width direction, so that the vehicle (door 1 in the closed position standing along the front-rear direction) receives a side collision. When the door trim 3 is bent so as to be recessed inward in the vehicle width direction (vehicle interior side), the armrest 6 is bent at the groove 14 to easily follow the deformation of the door trim 3, and the front side of the armrest 6 is separated from the door trim 3. It becomes difficult. Further, even if the armrest 6 cannot follow the deformation of the door trim 3 and the clip 12 is disengaged from the clip engaging hole 13 and is in the disengaged state, the tether 15 is locked to the tether locking portion 16. This prevents the front side of the armrest 6 from falling off from the door trim 3. This makes it possible to prevent the front side of the armrest 6 from falling off.
Further, since the tether 15 and the tether locking portion 16 allow the armrest 6 to move with respect to the door trim 3 between the engaged complete state and the disengaged state, the tether 15 is provided when attaching / detaching the armrest 6. As in the case where there is no clip 12, the clip 12 may be engaged with or disengaged from the clip engaging hole 13. Therefore, the armrest 6 can be easily attached and detached as compared with the case where the armrest 6 is firmly fixed to the door trim 3 by a screw or the like.
