  • DRX is introduced.
  • This method allows the User Equipment (UE, also known as the terminal) to periodically enter the sleep state at certain times and does not listen to the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) subframes/slots. When it needs to listen, it wakes up from the sleep state, so that the UE can save power.
  • UE User Equipment
  • PDCCH Physical Downlink Control Channel
  • DRX can reduce UE power consumption, so DRX is very meaningful.
  • the implementation of the DRX mechanism in the idle state and the connected state is different. Relatively speaking, the DRX mechanism in the connected state is shown in Figure 1.
  • the period of time identifying the "duration” is the time for the UE to monitor the downlink PDCCH subframe. During this time, the UE is in an awake state.
  • the period of time identifying the “DRX opportunity” is the time when DRX may enter sleep, that is, the time during which the UE may enter sleep without monitoring the PDCCH subframe in order to save power. During this period, the UE may enter the DRX active state due to UL transmission.
  • the duration timer (onDurationTimer) specifies the number of consecutive subframes (that is, the number of subframes during which the active period lasts) that the PDCCH needs to be monitored from the start subframe of the DRX cycle. Within the time that onDurationTimer is turned on, the UE enters the DRX active state.
  • the DRX inactivity timer (drx-InactivityTimer) specifies the number of consecutive subframes that are continuously in the active state after the UE successfully decodes a PDCCH indicating the initial transmission of uplink (UL) or downlink (DL) user data. That is, the timer is restarted every time the UE has initial transmission data to be scheduled or sent. (Note: This is the initial transmission and not the retransmission). Within the time that drx-InactivityTimer is turned on, the UE enters the DRX active state.
  • Long/short DRX cycle (Long/short DRX cycle): Sometimes, the arrival of services is bursty, and the service interval may increase after a period of transmission. Therefore, the long/short DRX cycle mechanism is introduced in the DRX mechanism .
  • the UE uses the short DRX cycle and starts/restarts the short DRX cycle timer.
  • the short DRX cycle timer expires, the UE enters the long DRX cycle.
  • FR1 is what we usually call sub 6GHz, the part below 6GHz, which will be the current mainstream application range of 5G.
  • the FR2 range is mainly high frequency, which is what we usually call millimeter waves. It has weak penetration, but the bandwidth is very sufficient, there are no interference sources, the frequency spectrum is clean, and future applications are also very extensive.
  • FR2 has a higher frequency, a larger bandwidth, a wider subcarrier space (SCS), and a shorter time slot can be selected. On the FR2, it can carry a larger throughput business, so that the transmission ends faster.

“Opportunity for DRX”也可以描述为DRX关闭(DRX off),或DRX非激活(DRX inactive)状态。
当short DRX cycle定时器超时后,UE进入long DRX cycle。
Figure PCTCN2020124235-appb-000001
Figure PCTCN2020124235-appb-000002
步骤21,接收网络侧设备发送的指示信息;
需要说明的是,所述指示信息用于指示终端的至少一个第一非连续接收(DRX)分组进入DRX非激活状态;
A11、停止第一DRX分组对应的DRX持续时间定时器;
A12、停止第一DRX分组对应的DRX非激活定时器;
接收网络侧设备为终端配置的DRX参数以及分组相关信息;
接收网络侧设备为终端配置的DRX参数以及分组相关信息;
步骤51,发送指示信息给终端;
为终端配置DRX参数以及分组相关信息;
其中,所述分组相关信息包括:DRX分组,或所述分组相关信息包括:DRX分组以及与所述DRX分组对应的第一参数;
