Definitions
- the optical system When the optical system is used as an eyepiece, light rays are passed from the intermediate image side to the eyepiece side.
- the optical system can be used as an objective lens by passing a light ray through the optical system in the opposite direction.
- the optical system can also be used as an objective lens by directing the eyepiece side as referred to in the present invention toward the observation object side. In this case, it is preferable to appropriately illuminate the eyepiece from the intermediate image side to the eyepiece side so that the light reflected by the observation object is imaged as an intermediate image.
- the first lens group has a positive refractive power.
- the first lens group is composed of a plurality of positive subgroups.
- the first A regular subgroup and the first B regular subgroup are composed in this order from the eyepiece side, and an air gap b is provided between the first A regular subgroup and the first B regular subgroup.
- the air interval b is the largest air interval among the air intervals included in the first lens group.
- the first lens group preferably has at least one positive lens made of a material satisfying the following conditional expression. 1.8 ⁇ n ⁇ 3 ... (1)
- n is the refractive index of the material at the wavelength of the light beam used in the optical system.
- the refractive index means the refractive index at a predetermined wavelength within the wavelength range of the used light beam.
- the light used is visible light, it means the refractive index in a predetermined wavelength (for example, d-line (587.56 nm)) within the wavelength range (380 nm-710 nm).
- the lens arranged closest to the eyepiece side in the first lens group a positive meniscus lens having a shape satisfying the above conditional expression (2), a strong positive refractive power is arranged in the first lens group and the light beam height is applied. It is possible to keep the lens as close as possible to the optical axis and suppress the occurrence of aberrations. Therefore, by satisfying the conditional expression (2), high optical performance can be realized while achieving both miniaturization and ultra-wide angle of the optical system.
- the first lens group is composed of a first A positive subgroup and a first B positive subgroup arranged in order from the eyepiece side.
- An air gap b is provided between the first A regular subgroup and the first B regular subgroup.
- the first A positive part group includes a positive meniscus lens having a concave surface facing the eyepiece side in order from the eyepiece side, a biconvex lens, and a junction lens in which a biconvex lens and a negative meniscus lens having a concave surface facing the eyepiece side are joined. It is composed of a negative meniscus lens with a convex surface facing side and a bonded lens in which a biconvex lens is bonded.
- the first B regular subgroup is composed of a biconvex lens. In this embodiment, the primary image plane is located within the first A regular subgroup.
- Table 4 shows the surface data of the optical system of Example 4. Further, the values of the eye relief (Er), the viewing angle, and each conditional expression are shown below. Further, FIGS. 2 and 3 show a lateral aberration diagram and a spherical aberration diagram.
