Abstract

In this invention we have drones which have to restricted from flying in a polygonal No-Fly zone. Here we program the navigation system of the drone to continuously keep track of their two dimensional distance (not considering altitude) with geometric line segments of such polygons representing No-Fly zones in two dimensional space. If the distance of the drone falls below a predefined threshold with any of the geometric line segments of such No-Fly zone polygons then the drone manoeuvres its velocity and flight path to avoid flying in the polygonal No-Fly zone.

Description

Restricting Drones From Flying In No-Fly Zone
In this invention we have drones which have to restricted from flying in a polygonal No-Fly zone. Here we program the navigation system of the drone to continuously keep track of their two dimensional distance (not considering altitude) with geometric line segments of such polygons representing No-Fly zones in two dimensional space. If the distance of the drone falls below a predefined threshold with any of the geometric line segments of such No-Fly zone polygons then the drone manoeuvres its velocity and flight path to avoid flying in the polygonal No-Fly zone.

Claims

Claims Following is the claim for this invention:-
1. In this invention we have drones which have to restricted from flying in a polygonal No-Fly zone. Here we program the navigation system of the drone to continuously keep track of their two dimensional distance (not considering altitude) with geometric line segments of such polygons representing No-Fly zones in two dimensional space. If the distance of the drone falls below a predefined threshold with any of the geometric line segments of such No-Fly zone polygons then the drone manoeuvres its velocity and flight path to avoid flying in the polygonal No-Fly zone. The above novel technique of restricting drones from flying in No-Fly zone is the claim for this invention.
