Description

CUTTING PROFILE, BLADE EQUIPPED WITH SUCH PROFILE AND CUTTING TOOL COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE OF SUCH
BLADES
The present invention refers to a cutting profile, to a blade equipped with such profile and to a cutting tool comprising at least one of such blades, such as, for example, a pair of scissors in particular for hairstyling.
As known, the art proposes numerous arrangements with cutting profiles, related blades and cutting tools made depending on the particular types and physical/chemical characteristics of the material to be cut .
In particular, the cutting profiles with cutting wire with a substantially linear profile can be particularly efficient for cutting particularly ductile and wet materials, while for cutting the same materials when dry, the profile is less efficient, since it slides on the material itself. For this latter situation, the art then proposes cutting profiles with toothed wire, which however, though gripping the material to be cut, can be excessively aggressive if used on particularly delicate and/or thin materials, such as, for example, human hair.
For this latter particular application, in fact, it is known, for simple cutting operations, to use scissors in which the cutting portions of the two half-scissors are typically equipped with a cutting profile with a substantially linear wire: though such profile are well suited for cutting wet hair, they are instead scarcely efficient for cutting dry hair, since they slide on the hair themselves, making their cut inaccurate and difficult .
Therefore, object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing a cutting profile which is particularly efficient for cutting dry materials, such as, for example, human hair.
Another object of the present invention is providing a blade equipped with a cutting profile which is particularly efficient for cutting dry materials, such as, for example, human hair.
Moreover, an object of the present invention is providing a cutting tool, such as, for example, a pair of scissors for hairstyling, comprising at least one blade equipped with a cutting profile which is particularly efficient for cutting dry materials, such as, for example, human hair.
The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained with a cutting profile as claimed in claim 1.
Moreover, the above and other objects and advantages of the invention are obtained with a blade and a cutting tool as respectively claimed in
Figure imgf000004_0001
Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
It is intended that all enclosed claims are an integral part of the present description.
It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what is described, without departing from the scope of the invention, as appears from the enclosed claims.
The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, provided as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows an enlarged side view of a linear blade equipped with a preferred embodiment of the cutting profile according to the present invention; and
Figure 2 shows a detailed view of some components of a pair of scissors making a cutting tool according to the present invention.
With reference therefore to Figure 1, it is possible to note that the cutting profile 1 according to the present invention comprises a periodic succession of shaped cutting portions 3, each of such shaped cutting portions 3 comprising at least one concave cutting portion 3a adjacent to at least one cutting portion with substantially linear profile 3b: advantageously, the pitch P of a shaped cutting portion 3 comprising such concave cutting portion 3a and such cutting portion with substantially linear profile 3b is included between 0.1 millimeters and 10 millimeters, and a depth H of each of such concave cutting portions 3a with respect to at least one adjacent cutting portion with substantially linear profile 3b is included between 0.1 millimeters and 3 millimeters. In a possible embodiment such as the one, for example, shown in Figure 1, at least one of such concave cutting portions 3a can be shaped continuously with a rounded or arcuate shape.
At least one of such concave cutting portions 3a could also be shaped in a broken way, assuming, for example, a "V" shape.
Obviously, the cutting profile 1 according to the present invention could also comprise a plurality of concave cutting portions 3a with mutually different shapes and shaping.
Preferably, the length of the linear projection LI of the concave cutting portion 3a is substantially equal to the length L2 of the cutting portion with substantially linear profile 3b. Obviously, it is possible to provide that the lengths LI and L2 are mutually different without departing from the scope of the present invention.
With such shaping, the cutting profile 1 according to the present invention is particularly suitable for cutting dry materials, such as, for example, human hair, since the portions with rounded concavity 3a take care of gripping such material, avoiding its slipping when it is cut through such cutting profile 1. The present invention further refers to a blade 10 comprising at least one cutting portion equipped with at least one shaped cutting portion 3 as previously described.
In particular, the blade 10 according to the present invention can be a configuration of the linear type, such as for example the one shown in Figure 1 to be applied to linear cutting tools, such as, for example knives, saws, scissors, etc., or a configuration of the circular type (not shown) for usually industrial uses, such as a rotary blade .
The present invention further refers to a cutting tool comprising at least one of such blades 10. With particular reference to Figure 2, it is possible to note that a possible preferred embodiment of a cutting tool according to the present invention comprising at least one blade 10 equipped with a cutting profile 1 as previously described, is given by a pair of scissors, for example for hairstyling. In particular, such pair of scissors traditionally comprises a pair of half scissors operatively joined by at least one rotation joint designed to allow, typically through an operating kinematism with double lever of the first type, with a mutual rotation movement of such half-scissors around a rotation axis passing though such rotation joint, each of such half-scissors comprising at least one respective cutting part 101a, 101b, at least one of such cutting parts 101a being equipped at least partially with a blade 10 comprising a cutting profile 1 as previously described.
Obviously, it possible to provide that both cutting parts 101a, 101b are equipped at least partially with a respective blade 10 comprising a cutting profile 1 as previously described.
Preferably, at least such cutting part 101a, 101b is wholly made of a single piece in a metallic material, such metallic material being advantageously at least one hard metal : preferably, such hard metal is tungsten carbide with a cobalt binder, more preferably, the amount in weight of such cobalt is included between 10% and 20%, and still more preferably substantially equal to 15%.
