Abstract
An adapter system allows the pluggable combination of shishas and bongs with evaporators for nicotine-containing liquids.
Description
Conversion system for shishas or bongs for operation with evaporators for nicotine-contain- ing liquids.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Shisha smoking is also becoming increasingly popular among adolescents in western Eu- rope, especially with regard to the sociable aspect, as several people use a water pipe with possibly several hoses and mouthpieces; the bubbling sound as a function of sucking on the various mouthpieces acts as a communicative element.
However, there have been various attempts to restrict or prohibit this. This on the one hand for health reasons, in many communities but also because of the risk of fire and accidents by handling glowing pieces of coal.
In contrast,“smoking”, i.e. the inhalation of nicotine-containing vapors, is now widely used to quit smoking and prevent health hazards from smoking.
A liquid with dissolved nicotine and fragrances in it is vaporized with passage through a heat- ing element and inhaled by the user.
When it comes to finding a new, promising approach that will allow hookah smoking to con- tinue without risk without affecting the group dynamic component, steaming with hookah is a natural choice.
PRIOR ART
There are so-called“electric hookahs” wherein a steamer system is used instead of the pipe head with glowing coals:
US 8,757,170 proposes an electric hookah without a water bath, which actually represents only a power distributor to several evaporators. It is not to be expected that this replaces the bubbling of the water bath characteristic of hookah smoking for group experience.
US 20120042884A1 and CA 271877A1 show a hookah with integrated evaporator and bat- tery, although it can be seen from Fig. 1 that such a structure is likely to be instable, even if the batteries are arranged here within a water bath, what tends to be a problem with regard to sealing and maintenance.
US 2013 0032159 A1 is quite similar to the previous one, however not powered by batteries, but with a power supply and moreover US 8,757,170 which is without a water bath and with
a vacuum switch that switches both the evaporator, as well as an operating effect indicating light.
US 20160066619A1 shows a largely“classic” shaped hookah, in which the hookah head, however, is only decoration. Electronics and evaporators are here again arranged in the han- dle of the mouthpiece, including an intensity controller for the evaporator.
Power supply and the battery are located in the base of the device, a water bath is not pro- vided.
US 20160206001 A1 again shows the classic shape of a water pipe, but also contains no water bath, but several evaporator units, which are loaded with different liquids, and a battery in the base. The intensity of the evaporation is controlled by a vacuum sensor, the choice of liquids by pressure switches in the base of the device.
CA2718771A1 describes a waterpipe with a small water bath over a pedestal containing the power supply, audio amplifiers and speakers. Evaporators and liquids are arranged here in the neck of the device, which also contains effect lights. The evaporated liquids are passed through hoses from a collector over the water bath to the distributor in the base, from which the suction lines branch off to the individual mouthpieces.
CN 103734907 A describes the construction of an evaporator head intended to replace the head of a classic hookah and containing a reservoir for liquids. Power supply and control are not described.
CN203873001 U has a coaxial arrangement of evaporator and battery pack at the air supply port, with the evaporators being dismountable and connected in series with the air intake. A filtration with water bath is not specified.
It is thus known to combine shisha and steamer by an evaporator replacing the hookah head with the tobacco pot and its glowing coals. However, this means a novel construction. A conversion of conventional hookahs is not possible, or very expensive. Moreover, there is no system so far, in which an evaporator attaches to conventional hookahs and operate is.
This would be a little problematic in construction, because the evaporator and associated battery is relatively heavy and hookahs are usually not too stable anyway; the core area of the structure would therefore be too high and the entire structure would therefore be wobbly.
However, solutions with batteries in the base of a hookah appear problematic and especially unsuitable for retrofitting.
TASK OF THE INVENTION/PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED
The object of the present invention is therefore to supplement the classic system of hookah not only by a steamer, but to integrate it so that it is easily accessible for operation. The con- trol with on-off switch of the evaporator works without access to the actual device, preferably attached to a hose or mouthpiece.
Another task is not to significantly change the weight distribution of the hookah and to ensure sufficient stability.
Moreover the suction of the vapour, should be effectively demonstrated an controlled and the energy supply, as to the higher demand with several users, should quickly and easily be exchangeable.
SOLUTION
A solution for the combination of hookah and steamer was found in that the suction stream through the water bath to the head is guided in a flat case and the battery and evaporator are separated.
The evaporator replaces the classic hookah head with tobacco, coal, etc. Therefore the suction air flow to the water bath runs through a double wall chamber, where the evaporator is arranged in its interior and the double wall chamber leads the smoke to the suction port in its bottom.
A crystal-clear material is provided for the double wall chamber to enhance the group experi- ence by looking at the vapor flow. Battery and switch are combined in one handle. Optionally, the power supply to the evapora- tor is attached to the suction hose with clips.
CLOSER DESCRIPTION ALONG TO THE DRAWING
Fig. 1 shows a coupling attachment (1 ) according to the invention in an exemplary embodi- ment, consisting of the double wall chamber (2), which is placed on the head of the hookah (3) and connected by means of a seal (4). In the double wall chamber contains the upper part of an e-cigarette, so evaporator (6) and mouthpiece (7), and connected via a seal (8) with the double wall chamber (2). Trigger (9) and accumulator (5) are connected by cable.
