Description
A REINFORCED CANVAS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a reinforced canvas in order to cover the vehicle body structures of the trailers, semitrailers etc. used in cargo.
The invention is particularly related to a reinforced canvas developed for providing resistance characteristics of high strength, water repellent and deformation required from the canvas used for covering the vehicle bodies used in cargo.
PRIOR ART
Canvases which surround the vehicle body and cover the upper portions for enabling protection of the load from the external conditions and safer transportation in vehicles such as trailer, semitrailer etc. in cargo transportation are used. Since currently used canvasses are in relation with the external environment individually, they have high strength against negative environmental conditions. Nevertheless they have water repellant characteristic for not being affected from the air conditions within the external environment. They are reinforced structures in a manner such that they resist for the conditions such as tearing, cutting etc.
In general, providing said characteristics in canvases can be performed by making cover to the canvas fabric. In the application No DE69407290T2, production of a canvas which consists of a fabric and a polymeric layer applied on two faces of said fabric for developing the physical strength in a similar manner is disclosed. In the application No DE102007011758A1 , reinforcing a woven fabric by using elastic polymers is disclosed. The processes performed in said applications make the canvas fabric heavier and increase the production costs.
In a similar manner, in an application which is used in developing physical characteristics, it is provided by means of using cage-like structures formed with
metal wires to the canvas fabric and lamination on the structure. In the applications with Publication No TR 2016 20328 and No TR 2016 20336, in a similar manner using steel guy ropes is mentioned in order to provide easy loading. However this application does not directly embody a structure directed for developing physical characteristics of the canvas fabric.
A method which is applied today is directed to apply strip bands to some specific regions for reinforcing the canvas fabric. In this application also labor and costs increase. Strip bands and textile surface are affected at different levels against hard conditions such as tearing, explosion etc. and wearing occurs due to the relation between them and it causes more damage.
As a result the abovementioned problems which cannot be solved under the light of the present art make it necessary to make a novelty within the relevant technical field.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reinforced canvas used for covering the cargo vehicle bodies in order to eliminate the above mentioned disadvantages and bring additional advantages to the relevant technical field.
The main aim of the invention is to provide a reinforced canvas which exhibits high strength characteristic without requiring an additional reinforcing element.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a reinforced canvas with improved water repellent feature.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a canvas which minimizes the weight of the obtained canvas.
Another aim of the invention is to provide a canvas obtained by means of a production which does not require extra labor and cost.
The present invention in order to realize all aims mentioned above and mentioned in the following detailed description, is a canvas which consists of a fabric layer and a coating that is enabled on said fabric layer and used on a cargo vehicle body. Accordingly, the characteristic of said canvas is that, said fabric layer is configured by means of weaving method with polyester warn in order to improve strength and cutting resistance of the canvas in a manner such that it enables resistance against the force distributions which acts on the canvas in the direction of the cargo vehicle movement and it comprises strip textures defined in the direction of weft and yarn within the fabric construction.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said fabric layer is configured with 2/2 panama knit.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, said fabric layer preferably forms 85 % of the canvas.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the weft yarns and the warp yarns which form the fabric layer are preferably selected with 1 100 dtex fineness.
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the weft yarns and warp yarns which form the fabric layer has a strength value between 8 - 9 gram / denier and preferably 8,8 - 9 gram/denier.
Together with the configuration of the present invention and additional elements, in order to clarify its advantages, it shall be evaluated with the following described drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, the inventive novelty is described for only clarifying the subject matter by means of examples in a manner such that no limiting effect is created.
The canvas (10) whose schematic view is given in Figure 1 essentially consists of a fabric layer (1 1 ) and a coating (12) which is applied on one surface of said fabric layer (1 1 ). On one hand said coating (12) preferably forms 15 %, on the other hand the fabric layer (1 1 ) preferably forms 85 % of the canvas (10).
The fabric layer (1 1 ) consists of the weft yarn (1 1 1 ) and warp yarn (1 12) formed by means of weaving. A polyester yarn is used as the weft yarn (11 1 ) and the warp yarn (1 12) which has 1 100 dtex fineness, a strength between 8 - 9 gram/denier range and particularly between 8,8 - 9 gram/denier range. In obtaining the fabric layer (1 1 ), 2/2 knit whose knitting report view is given in Figure 2, is used. During forming the fabric layer (1 1 ), together with the designed weaving draft report, the strip textures (113) of the fabric within the fabric construction in a manner such that the fabric is in the weft direction (x) and warp direction (y). Said strip textures (113) provide improving the strength and durability characteristics of the fabric layer (1 1 ). Grammage of the manufactured fabric of the obtained fabric layer (1 1 ) is 850 g/m2.
The coating (12) is made as a polyurethane (PU) and polyvinylchloride (PVC) coating in a manner such that water repellent characteristic is given to the canvas. Usage of PU and PVC both enables water repellent characteristic and reduces the damages given to the environment, it also contributes to develop a more environmentalist process in canvas (10) production.
In order to obtain the canvas (10), first of all the force distribution analysis which affects the canvas (10) and particularly the fabric layer (1 1 ) during the motion of the cargo vehicle is made. In the direction of this analysis results, the distribution of the strip textures (1 13) in the fabric layer (1 1 ) is determined by making fabric design. This distribution is obtained by means of changing the weaving draft report in a manner such that the knitting report remains as 2/2 panama. In addition to this, the weft yarns (1 1 1 ) and the warp yarns (1 12) to be used in the fabric layer (1 1 ) are determined in the direction of providing required strength values. Preferably polyester yarns are used in the invention and alternatively it is possible to provide durability against strength and cutting by means of using structures such as aramid fibers or wires etc. In the structure of the inventive reinforced canvas (10), there is a fabric layer (1 1 ) in which only weaving method is used and the reinforcing process is performed at once without requiring additional processes. Instead of the strip bands used with the fabric for fulfilling the reinforcement aims, the strip textures (1 13) are defined within the fabric layer (1 1 ) construction. In addition to this without using fiber elements and lamination, together with the synthetic yarns with technical features which only have high strength and cutting resistance, the required features are obtained without increasing the weight of the fabric layer (1 1 ).
