According to the present disclosure, electric control of the steering force can be realized in a vehicle equipped with a hydraulic power steering device.
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
The configuration of the steering device 100 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of the configuration of the steering device 100. The steering device 100 is mounted on a vehicle such as a commercial vehicle, for example. The steering device 100 is, for example, of a rack and pinion type.
As shown in FIG. 1, the steering device 100 includes a motor 1 and a hydraulic power steering device 2. The motor 1 and the hydraulic power steering device 2 are provided below the floor F of the passenger compartment.
The motor 1 is, for example, a motor used in an electric power steering device for a passenger car. The driving of the motor 1 is controlled by a control device (not shown) (for example, ECU: Electric Control Unit).
The output shaft of the motor 1 is fixed to the first pulley 31 of the speed reducer 3. The reduction gear 3 has a first pulley 31, a second pulley 32 fixed to the pinion shaft 4, and a belt 33 wound around the first pulley 31 and the second pulley 32. The diameter of the second pulley 32 is larger than the diameter of the first pulley 31.
The driving force of the motor 1 is applied to the pinion shaft 4 via the speed reducer 3. In other words, the motor 1 applies a rotational force to the pinion shaft 4 via the speed reducer 3. The pinion shaft 4 corresponds to an example of the “input shaft of the hydraulic power steering device”.
One end of the pinion shaft 4 is connected to one end of a steering shaft 6 via a cardan joint 5. The other end of the steering shaft 6 is fixed to a steering wheel 7 on which a driver performs a steering operation.
The other end of the pinion shaft 4 is inserted into the hydraulic cylinder 11 of the hydraulic power steering device 2. On the other end side of the pinion shaft 4, a pinion gear 4a is provided. The pinion gear 4a meshes with a rack gear 8a provided on the rack shaft 8. Thus, the rotational motion of the pinion shaft 4 is converted into the axial reciprocating linear motion of the rack shaft 8 via the pinion gear 4a and the rack gear 8a. In FIG. 1, an arrow A indicates the rotation direction of the pinion shaft 4 and the steering shaft 6, and an arrow B indicates the axial direction of the rack shaft 8.
The reciprocating linear motion of the rack shaft 8 is transmitted to the wheels 10 via tie rods 9 respectively connected to both ends of the rack shaft 8. Thereby, the turning angle of the wheel 10 is changed.
As shown in FIG. 1, the hydraulic power steering device 2 has a hydraulic cylinder 11, a reservoir tank 13, a pump 14, and a valve device 15.
The hydraulic cylinder 11 has a piston 12 inside. The piston 12 is fixed to the rack shaft 8 and is movable in the axial direction of the rack shaft 8 (see arrow B).
The interior of the hydraulic cylinder 11 is divided into a hydraulic chamber 11a and a hydraulic chamber 11b by the piston 12.
The reservoir tank 13 stores hydraulic oil. The reservoir tank 13 is connected to a pump 14 and a valve device 15 via a pipe 16.
The pump 14 pumps hydraulic oil from the reservoir tank 13. The pump 14 operates by, for example, obtaining driving force from an internal combustion engine (not shown) of the vehicle. The pump 14 is connected to the reservoir tank 13 and the valve device 15 via a pipe 16.
The valve device 15 switches so that the hydraulic oil pumped by the pump 14 is supplied to the hydraulic chamber 11a or the hydraulic chamber 11b according to the rotation direction of the pinion shaft 4 (see the arrow A). The valve device 15 is connected to the reservoir tank 13, the pump 14, the hydraulic chamber 11a, and the hydraulic chamber 11b via a pipe 16.
In the hydraulic power steering device 2, the hydraulic oil pumped from the reservoir tank 13 by the pump 14 is supplied to the valve device 15. The hydraulic oil supplied to the valve device 15 is supplied to either the hydraulic chamber 11a or the hydraulic chamber 11b.
For example, when hydraulic oil is supplied to the hydraulic chamber 11a, the hydraulic oil is discharged from the hydraulic chamber 11b. Further, for example, when the hydraulic oil is supplied to the hydraulic chamber 11b, the hydraulic oil is discharged from the hydraulic chamber 11a. The hydraulic oil discharged from the hydraulic cylinder 11 is returned to the reservoir tank 13 via the valve device 15.
As a result, the rack shaft 8 moves in the axial direction (see the arrow B) together with the piston 12. Thereby, the steering force is assisted.
As described in detail above, the steering device 100 includes the hydraulic power steering device 2, the pinion shaft 4 having one end connected to the steering shaft 6, and the other end inserted into the hydraulic power steering device 6, and the pinion shaft 4. And a motor 1 for applying a driving force. Thereby, in the vehicle including the hydraulic power steering device 2, electric control of the steering force can be realized.
Further, since the steering device 100 is provided below the floor portion F of the vehicle interior, the layout of the vehicle interior can be improved.
Since the motor 1 is a motor used in an electric power steering device for a passenger car, an off-the-shelf product can be used, and the manufacturing cost of the motor 1 can be reduced. Further, since the motor used in the electric power steering device for a passenger car is relatively small, the degree of freedom of the installation space for the motor 1 is improved.
(4) By using the speed reducer 3, the driving force of the motor 1 applied to the pinion shaft 4 can be further increased.
