Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de décodage d'un flux de données représentatif d'une vidéo multi-vues. Des éléments de syntaxe sont obtenus (E20) à partir d'au moins une partie des données du flux, et utilisés pour reconstruire (E21) au moins une image d'une vue de la vidéo. Puis, au moins une métadonnée sous une forme prédéterminée est obtenue (E23) à partir d'au moins un élément de syntaxe obtenu, et fournie (E24) à un module de traitement d'images. L'invention concerne également un procédé et un dispositif de traitement d'images configuré pour lire ladite au moins une métadonnée sous la forme prédéterminée et l'utiliser pour générer au moins une image d'une vue virtuelle à partir d'une vue reconstruite de la vidéo multi-vues.
