Abstract

The present invention discloses a micropositioner with a precision axis control. The said micropositioner comprises fixed platform and moving platform. The fixed platform is provided with a slider-A and a slider-B operated by a ball screw (4-Y) and a ball screw (4-X) respectively. The moving platform, provided with a ball-and-socket arrangement at its bottom, is slidably placed upon the fixed platform in such a manner that the moving platform is capable of moving over the fixed platform in X-axis direction and Y-axis direction along with the slider-B and the slider-A respectively. Further, the slider-B and the slider-A acts as a guiding channel for the moving platform when rotated by the corresponding ball screws (4-X) and (4-Y). The moving platform is further provided with a fixed support having a ball screw (4-Z) placed thereupon and a vertical slide (8). The ball screw (4-Z) when rotated causes the moving platform to move in Z-axis direction.
