Abstract

Sectional draining floor for stalls and pigsties and the like comprising a first plurality of lower elements made of cement or other material having approximate shape of triangular straight prism with base of isosceles triangle, laid along adjacent parallel rows, a second plurality of gutters made of smooth plastic or other material placed over and between said rows of lower elements, and a third plurality of upper elements made of cement or other material approximately shaped as a parallelepiped having upper surface substantially level and not interrupted by any slot, so that they compose a walking surface, where drain slots open only in the spaces left between the side-edges of said upper elements. The alternate rows of said upper elements are staggered with respect to each other, reminiscent of brickwork and fasten the whole said floor and have shape and size fit to be produced by machinery.

Description

Title: Sectional draining floor.
Description
Technical field:
Sectional draining floor for stalls and pigsties and the like. Background art:
EP0626131A1 also discloses sectional draining floors, but their upper elements do not fasten the whole structure and they need tu be laid over special dung pits and/or dung channels.
EP2243355A1 also discolses sectional draining floors able to be laid also over pre-existent floors, but their upper elements do not fasten the whole floor. Moreover their size and shape are not fit to be produced by modern
machinery, so that they give high production cost.
Disclosure of invention:
Sectional draining floor for stalls and pigsties and the like, composed of a first plurality of lower elements made of cement or other material, placed along adjacent parallel rows, over them a second plurality of parallel gutters made of smooth plastic or other material, and on top of all a third plurality of upper elements made of cement or other material, composing a substantially level walking surface. Said floor is able to be laid also over pre-existent floors or simple flat surfaces, with the only condition of a light slope.
Said upper elements fasten the whole floor breadthwise toward said gutters, because the projections of their lower face steadily settle from above into the grooves present on top of said lower elements and because their alternate rows are staggered with respect to each other, reminiscent of brickwork, so that each said upper element connects two adjacent rows of said lower elements different from the rows fastened by the next adjacent said upper element on the same row lengthwise towards said gutters.
Said upper elements fasten the floor also lengthwise towards said gutters, because their lower face clench the edges of said gutters and also because said upper elements and said lower elements have different lenght.
Moreover, each element of said three pluralities has one vertical section, that stays the same along the whole length of said element, and this fact allows significant reduction of production cost.
Brief description of drawings:
Fig. 1 shows a perspective of a part of said floor.
Fig. 2 shows one upper element (1), one gutter (3) and two lower elements (2) in a vertical transversal section towards said gutters.
Fig. 3 shows a vertical transversal sec f part of the floor, where one of said upper elements (1) is lifted up b

Claims

Claims
1 - Sectional draining floor for stalls and pigsties and the like comprising a first plurality of lower elements (2) made of cement or other material having approximate shape of triangular straight prism with base of isosceles triangle, laid along adjacent parallel rows, a second plurality of gutters (3) made of smooth plastic or other material placed over and between said raws of lower elements, and a third plurality of upper elements (1) made of cement or other material approximately shaped as a parallelepiped having upper surface substantially level and not interrupted by any slot so that they compose a walking surface and which lower projections (6) allow them to settle from above into the upper grooves (11) of two adjacent underlying said rows of lower elements (2), characterized in that the alternate rows of said upper elements (1) are staggered with respect to each other so that their disposition recalls a brickwork and fasten the whole said floor breadthwise toward said gutters (3), said upper elements (1) being unprovided with any drain-slot, said walking surface having drain-slots (9) only in the spaces left between the side- edges of said upper elements (1), said drain-slots (9) being not continuous but intermittent with respect to said underlying gutters (3), said upper elements (1) having shape and size fit to be produced by machinery,
2 - Floor according to claim 1 wherein each said lower element (2) has lower surface Mat and fit to be laid on a level ground, the side-faces (10) of said lower elements (2) longitudinal to said gutters (3) being shaped so as to constitute one half of a hollow space that houses one of said gutters (3), each said lower element (2) having on its top a said groove (11) fit to house one of the said lower projections (6) of said upper elements (1), the edges of the square lower surface of said lower elements (2) being straight-lined and sharp, so that they perfectly fit each other without leaving any chink.
3 - Floor according to claim 1 wherein each said upper element (1) has downward two said parallel projections (6) running lengthwise toward said gutters (3), each said parallel projection (6) being shaped so that it steadily settle from above into said groove (11) on top of each said lower element (2), thereby each said upper element (1) binds breadthwise toward said gutters (3) two adjacent rows of said lower elements (2), two said upper elements (1) adjacent lengthwise toward said gutters (3) binding breadthwise toward said gutters (3) three different rows of said lower elements (2).
4 - Floor according to claim 1 wherein the lower face of said upper elements (1) comprises two external frames (16) and a central projection (18), that clenchs the upper edges of said gutters (3) thereby said gutters (3) binding the whole said floor lengthwise toward themselves.
5 - Floor according to claim 1 wherein each said gutter (3) consists of an upward open half-pipe made of plastic or other material able to ensure an easy flowing of manure.
