Abstract

La présente invention concerne une cage de laminage pour le laminage d'un matériau allongé, comprenant deux cylindres A et deux cylindres B, les cylindres A et/ou les cylindres B ayant une forme non cylindrique et, pendant le laminage, un cylindre A étant en contact avec un cylindre B sur une longueur des cylindres de 0 à Y. Selon l'invention, le rayon du cylindre B est un facteur constant multiplié par le rayon du cylindre A à toutes les positions X du contact entre le cylindre A et le cylindre B de 0 à Y, plus ou moins une faible différence dans le rayon du cylindre A et du cylindre B à toutes les positions X entre 0 et Y. La présente invention concerne également des cylindres coopérants destinés à être utilisés dans la cage de laminage selon l'invention, et à un cylindre de secours et/ou à un cylindre intermédiaire destinés à être utilisés dans la cage de laminage ou en tant que partie de cylindres coopérants. La présente invention concerne en outre des procédés d'utilisation desdits cylindres dans une cage de laminage.
