Abstract
The present invention relates to multifunction device control technology and, more particularly, to a multifunction device control apparatus, which can be installed separately from firmware of a multifunction device and can control the multifunction device, a security paper multifunction device and security system using the same, and a control method thereof. A multifunction device control apparatus according to the present invention may be installed separately from firmware of a multifunction device including multiple signal lines and communication lines, and comprises: a microcontroller for receiving signals or data of one or more signal lines or communication lines connected via the microcontroller to firmware of a multifunction device within the multifunction device, processing the received signals or data, and providing the processed signals or data to the firmware of the multifunction device; a power source unit for supplying power to the microcontroller; and at least one of a port, a GPIO, and a switching unit which can be connected to the one or more signal lines or communication lines.
