Description
The present invention relates to a range hood group providing ease of mounting.
Range hoods are generally mounted on a wall or furniture in the kitchen, in a position at the upper side of the cooking range. A range hood draws the smoke rising from the cooking range to a duct by means of a fan assembly, and the drawn smoke is discharged to a chimney opening to the outer environment after being passed through a filter in the duct. The range hood is connected by means of a bearer body placed in the chimney system. After mounting of the bearer body to the wall or furniture, the range hood is placed in the bearer body and is fixed by being screwed.
The range hood requires being suspended in a suitable position in the bearer body during mounting of the range hood to the bearer body. In this case, more than one service personnel is required for mounting of the range hood, and mounting durations are prolonged due to difficulties in bringing the range hood to a position suitable for mounting in the bearer body.
State of the art European patent application no. EP2754966 defines a range hood whose mounting to wall or ceiling is improved.
The aim of the present invention is to realize a range hood group providing ease of mounting.
The range hood group realized to achieve the aim of the present invention and disclosed in the first aim and the dependent claims comprises a bearer body connected to a chimney system, and a range hood placed on the bearer body, having a fan enabling to suck the smoke arising from the cooker device and a duct enabling conveyance of the smoke sucked by the fan to the chimney system.
The range hood group of the invention comprises,
- at least one holder member provided on the range hood, and
- at least one holder seat arranged on the bearer body, in which the holder member is placed.
The range hood is placed in and removed out of the bearer body by being moved in vertical direction during mounting and dismantling of the range hood group. When the range hood comes in the bearer body to the suitable mounting position in which the screw holes on the range hood and the bearer body correspond to each other, at least one portion of the range hood is inside the bearer body. When the range hood is placed in the bearer body, the holder member provided on the range hood on the region of the range hood remaining in the bearer body, settles in the holder seat provided on the bearer body. Upon settling of the holder member in the holder seat, the range hood rests on the bearer body by means of the holder member. Thus, it is not necessary to bear the range hood at the mounting position during screwing of the range hood to the bearer body. The range hood group is of “island type” mounted on the ceiling so as to have an open surrounding.
In an embodiment of the invention, the range hood group comprises a holder member made of elastically deformable material. When the range hood is placed in the bearer body, the holder member is crushed by being squeezed in the space between the range hood and the bearer body. The holder member made of elastically deformable material, shifts to its initial form by expanding upon coming to the position in which it opposes the holder seat, and settles in the holder seat. After being placed in the holder seat, the holder member enables retaining the range hood in the suitable mounting position in the bearer body. Easy mounting of the range hood to the bearer body is thus provided.
In another embodiment of the invention, the range hood group comprises a protrusion provided on the holder member, settling in the holder seat when the range hood is placed in the bearer body. In this embodiment, the holder member comprises a protrusion provided on the side of the holder member facing the bearer body. The bearer body pushes the protrusion towards the range hood during placement of the range hood in the bearer body, thereby enabling moving of the range hood in the bearer body. When the holder member is placed in the holder seat, the force applied by the bearer body on the holder member is removed, the protrusion moves back to its initial position again and the holder settles in its seat.
In another embodiment of the invention, the protrusion comprises an inclined surface. The base of the bearer body abuts on the holder member while the range hood is being slid into the bearer body. When the sliding of the range hood into the bearer body continues, the bearer body applies force in horizontal direction to the holder member by means of the inclined surface provided on the holder member. The protrusion is thus moved towards the range hood, and the movement of the range hood in the bearer body is facilitated.
In another embodiment of the invention, the range hood group comprises at least two holder members mutually positioned on the range hood, and at least two holder seats mutually positioned on the bearer body. The holder members placed mutually on the range hood enable holding the range hood suspended in the bearer body so that it is balanced. Mutually positioning of the screw holes provided on the range hood and the bearer body is thus enabled without axial displacement during mounting.
In another embodiment of the invention, the range hood group comprises at least one mounting bore provided on the holder member. As a result of mounting and dismantling the range hood more than once, the holder member becomes deformed in time. The deformed holder member can easily be replaced by means of the mounting bore enabling placement of the holder member to the range hood by screwing.
With the present invention, a range hood group is realized, enabling keeping of the range hood suspended without requiring it being borne by a mounting team during mounting and dismantling of the range hood to/from the bearer body.
The range hood group realized to achieve the aims of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the range hood group after the range hood is placed in the bearer body.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the range hood group in an embodiment of the invention, before the range hood is placed in the bearer body.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the range hood in an embodiment of the invention.
Figure 4 is a partial perspective view of the range hood group in an embodiment of the invention, after the range hood is placed in the bearer body.
Figure 5 is a perspective view of the holder member in an embodiment of the invention.
The elements in the figures are numbered individually and the correspondence of these numbers are given hereinafter.

The range hood group (1) comprises,
a bearer body (3) connected to a chimney system, and
a range hood (2) placed on the bearer body (3) having,
- a fan (4) enabling to suck the smoke arising from the cooker device,
- a duct (5) enabling conveyance of the smoke sucked by the fan(4) to the chimney system.
The range hood (2) is placed on the bearer body (3) connected to the chimney system provided on a wall or the ceiling of the house so as to be over the cooker device.
The range hood group (1) of the invention comprises,
- at least one holder member (6) provided on the range hood (2), and
- at least one holder seat (7) arranged on the bearer body (3), in which the holder member (6) is placed.
During mounting of the range hood group (1), the range hood (1) is lifted upwards so as to enter into the bearer body (3), and is fixed to the bearer body (3) by screwing when it comes to the mounting position. The range hood (2) has to be kept at the same position by the mounting team during screwing. When the range hood (2) is lifted upwards so as to enter the bearer body (3), the holder member (6) provided on the range hood (2) settles in the holder seat (7) provided on the bearer body (3). Due to the fact that the movement of the holder member (6) inside the holder seat (7) is obstructed, the downwards movement of the range hood (2) is prevented, enabling keeping the range hood (2) suspended in the bearer body (3) during mounting. Thus, a mounting personnel is not required to keep the range hood (2) in the suitable position when the range hood (2) is being screwed to the bearer body (3) during mounting, and when the screws between the range hood (2) and the bearer body (3) are removed during dismantling, enabling performing the mounting with fewer mounting personnel in a shorter amount of time.
In an embodiment of the invention, the range hood group (1) comprises a holder member (6) made of elastically deformable material. The holder member (6) is squeezed between the range hood (2) and the bearer body (3) during placement of the range hood (2) into the bearer body (3). The holder member (6) becomes deformed by being squeezed, thereby not blocking the movement of the range hood (2) while it is being slid into the bearer body (3). The holder member (6) settles in the holder seat (7) by shifting back to its initial form when the holder member (6) comes to the mutual position with the holder seat (7). By means of the holder member (6) being elastically deformable, it is prevented from being released by escaping the holder seat (7) after the holder member (6) settles in the holder seat (7), enabling holding the range hood (6) securely in the bearer body (3).
In another embodiment of the invention, the range hood group (1) comprises a protrusion (8) provided on the holder member (6), settling in the holder seat (7) when the range hood (2) is placed in the bearer body (3). In this embodiment, the protrusion (8) is squeezed between the range hood (2) and the bearer body (3) during placement of the range hood (2) into the bearer body (3). The protrusion (8) settles in the holder seat (7) when the holder member (6) comes to a mutual position with the holder seat (7). Upon settling of the protrusion (8) to the holder seat (7), the base of the protrusion (8) rests on the base of the holder seat (7) when the range hood (2) is released. The range hood (2) is thus prevented from moving downwards.
In another embodiment of the invention, the protrusion (8) comprises an inclined surface. The protrusion (8) abuts the bearer body (3) while the range hood (2) is being placed in the bearer body (3). When the bearer body (3) contacts the inclined surface provided on the protrusion (8), the bearer body (3) begins pushing the protrusion (8) towards the range hood (2). The protrusion (9) is prevented from blocking the movement of the range hood (2) in vertical direction after the protrusion (8) abuts the bearer body (3), by means of the inclined surface provided on the protrusion (8).
In another embodiment of the invention, the range hood group (1) comprises at least two holder members (6) mutually positioned on the range hood (2), and at least two holder seats (7) mutually positioned on the bearer body (3). The range hood (2) and the bearer body (3) having preferably quadrilateral shape, are joined by placing the holder members (6) provided on mutual edges of the range hood (2), in the holder seats (7) provided on mutual edges of the bearer body (3) so as to correspond to each holder member (6). The movement of the range hood (2) is prevented by means of the holder members (6) provided on mutual edges of the range hood (2), enabling keeping the range hood (2) suspended in the suitable mounting position until the range hood (2) is fixed to the bearer body (3) by being screwed.
