Definitions
- the present invention relates to a steel wire having a high strength with a tensile strength TS of 1770 MPa or more.
- This application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2016-139744 for which it applied to Japan on July 14, 2016, and uses the content here.
- Bare steel wire drawn by drawing high carbon steel wire, or coated steel wire coated with Zn plating after drawing wire is applied to steel wire for bridge cable, PC steel wire, and various steel wire ropes. Used for various applications such as steel wire.
- These steel wires are required to have excellent torsional characteristics (the number of twists in accordance with the wire diameter) prescribed in, for example, the standard of JIS G 3521 (hard steel wire) as an important characteristic in addition to tensile strength. .
- the higher the strength of the steel wire the easier it is to generate a vertical crack called delamination in the torsion test of the steel wire. That is, it becomes difficult to satisfy excellent torsional characteristics as the strength of the steel wire increases.
- Patent Document 1 proposes a steel wire in which the occurrence of delamination during twisted wire processing is suppressed as a steel wire having excellent twist characteristics.
- Patent Document 1 discloses that the occurrence of delamination is suppressed by adjusting the surface layer hardness in the cross section of the steel wire in accordance with the wire diameter.
- delamination is considered to occur from the weakest point in the longitudinal direction of the steel wire. Therefore, it is difficult to reliably suppress delamination only by controlling the surface layer hardness of a specific cross section.
- Patent Document 2 discloses a hot-dip galvanized steel wire that satisfies the torsional characteristics while suppressing proeutectoid cementite by controlling the TS of the steel wire according to the Si content, Al content, and wire diameter. Has been. However, in Patent Document 2, only the tensile strength of the steel wire is controlled by the balance of the amounts of Si and Al, and the variation of the structure and mechanical properties of the steel wire for suppressing delamination is not adjusted. . Therefore, Patent Document 2 does not substantially achieve both high strength and suppression of occurrence of delamination.
- the steel wire is required to exhibit not only delamination but also a sufficient twist value as a torsion characteristic.
- Patent Document 3 defines the mass ratio of Ti and N, controls the half width and residual stress of the (110) plane of ferrite on the steel wire surface, and yield ratio YR (yield strength YS and tensile strength TS). It is disclosed that a steel wire free from delamination can be obtained by setting the ratio to 80% or less. However, in patent document 3, although delamination is examined, the twist value is not examined.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a steel wire excellent in torsional characteristics that does not generate delamination and exhibits a sufficient twist value in a torsion test.
- the inventors focused on the flow stress caused by the torsional deformation in the longitudinal direction and the circumferential direction of the steel wire to suppress the occurrence of delamination and improve the twist value. We considered making it. As a result, the non-uniformity of the outermost surface flow stress with respect to the yield stress and wire diameter of the entire steel wire is reduced, thereby reducing the non-uniformity of strain on the outermost surface due to torsional deformation and improving the torsional characteristics. As a result, the present invention has been completed. The present invention has been made based on the above findings, and the gist thereof is as follows.

At that time, 800 or more dents are made at intervals of 1 mm or less with respect to the circumferential direction and the longitudinal direction of the steel wire. The obtained hardness is converted into Vickers hardness, and a standard deviation ( ⁇ HV ) is obtained based on the converted value. In the present embodiment, if the hardness remains the Rockwell hardness, the resolution of the numerical value of the variation is low, so the value converted to Vickers hardness from the conversion table is used. For steel wires that have been galvanized, the hardness variation may be measured in the same manner as described above after the galvanized layer is peeled off by dipping in a hydrochloric acid containing an inhibitor.
- the upper limit of the tensile strength of the steel wire which concerns on this embodiment is not specifically limited, From a viewpoint of manufacturability, the upper limit of tensile strength may be about 2450 MPa.

If the conditions of the chemical composition and metal structure of the steel wire and the hardness variation of the steel wire surface are within the ranges specified above, the effect can be obtained regardless of the manufacturing method. Therefore, when a process other than the process exemplified below is applied to obtain a steel wire in which the chemical composition, metal structure, and hardness variation of the steel wire surface are within the ranges specified above, the steel wire is obtained. Description
σHV < (-9500×ln(D)+30000)×exp(-0.003×Rp0.2)・・・(a)
σHV <(-9500×ln(D)+30000)×exp(-0.003×Rp0.2)・・・(1)
