Skilled artisans will appreciate that elements in the figures are illustrated for simplicity and clarity and have not necessarily been drawn to scale. For example, the dimensions and/or relative positioning of some of the elements in the figures may be exaggerated relative to other elements to help to improve understanding of various examples of the present application. Also, common but well-understood elements that are useful or necessary in a commercially feasible example are often not depicted in order to facilitate a less obstructed view of these various examples. It will further be appreciated that certain actions and/or steps may be described or depicted in a particular order of occurrence while those skilled in the art will understand that such specificity with respect to sequence is not actually required. It will also be understood that the terms and expressions used herein have the ordinary technical meaning as is accorded to such terms and expressions by persons skilled in the technical field as set forth above, except where different specific meanings have otherwise been set forth herein.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
In order to make the object, the technical solution and the advantages of the present disclosure more clear and apparent, in the following the present disclosure will be described in detail in conjunction with the specific embodiments and with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The terminology used in the present disclosure is for the purpose of describing exemplary embodiments only and is not intended to limit the present disclosure. As used in the present disclosure and the appended claims, the singular forms "a, ” "an" and "the" are intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. It shall also be understood that the terms “or” and "and/or" used herein are intended to signify and include any or all possible combinations of one or more of the associated listed items, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
Reference throughout this specification to "one embodiment, " "an embodiment, "  "exemplary embodiment, " or the like in the singular or plural means that one or more particular features, structures, or characteristics described in connection with an embodiment is included in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. Thus, the appearances of the phrases "in one embodiment" or "in an embodiment, " "in an exemplary embodiment, " or the like in the singular or plural in various places throughout this specification are not necessarily all referring to the same embodiment. Furthermore, the particular features, structures, or characteristics in one or more embodiments may include combined in any suitable manner.
It should be noted that expressions like “first” and “second” used in the embodiments of the present disclosure are for distinguishing two different entities or different parameters that have the same name. It is seen that “first” and “second” are only for the convenience of expression and should not be understood as limiting the embodiments of the present disclosure. This point will not be explained one by one in subsequent embodiments.
It is an object of embodiments of the present disclosure to provide a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method and apparatus, to thereby implement searching for and recommending multimedia in accordance with user relationships, which is suitable a joint viewing by all users, so as to enhance the viewing experiences of all users.
It can be seen that a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method and apparatus disclosed by the embodiments of the present disclosure implement the process of recommending multimedia based on user relationship, by means of acquiring user characteristics, determining a user relationship of users jointly viewing a multimedia file in accordance with the user characteristics, determining multimedia tag (s) in accordance with the user relationship, and searching for and displaying a multimedia file corresponding to the multimedia tag (s) . As compared with the prior art, the method and apparatus of the present disclosure solve the problem in the prior art that recommendation of multimedia can only depend on viewing records and preferences of an individual user, not attending to other users for joint viewing. By recommending a multimedia file that is suitable for joint viewing by all users in accordance with user relationships, the method and apparatus of the present disclosure shorten the time for searching for the multimedia file and enhance the viewing experiences of the users.
FIG. 1 is a schematic flow chart of an embodiment of a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method disclosed by the present disclosure. As shown, in the embodiment of a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method disclosed by the present disclosure, the method comprises:
S10, determining a number of users to watch the multimedia;
A major application scenario of the disclosure herein is a scenario in which multiple users watching multimedia jointly using the same terminal, since in that case, it can make sense to select a multimedia file based on the “user relationship” as a criterion;
S11, characteristic information of all users is acquired, if the number of users is at least two;
S12, judging a user relationship in accordance with the characteristic information, the user relationship includes mainly family relationships between the users, e.g., father and son, mother and daughter, husband and wife, brothers, and so on;
S13, determining at least one multimedia tag in accordance with the user relationship.
in order to enable searching for a multimedia file in accordance with the multimedia tag (s) , the multimedia file is added with at least one multimedia tag in advance’
S14, searching for and displaying a multimedia file corresponding to the multimedia tag (s) .
The method disclosed by this embodiment implements a process of forwarding to a terminal a multimedia file that conforms to user relationship, by means of acquiring characteristic information of users, judging a user relationship in accordance with the characteristic information, determining multimedia tag (s) in accordance with the user relationship, and searching for and displaying a multimedia file corresponding to the multimedia tag (s) . As compared with the existing method of recommending a multimedia file in accordance with a viewing history or preference of an individual user, the method disclosed by the embodiment is possible to attend to identities of respective users and recommend a multimedia file suitable for joint viewing by the users in accordance with the user relationship, which shortens the time for searching for the multimedia file and enhances viewing experiences of the users.
In an alternative embodiment, the characteristic information includes a user gender and a user age; S11, the acquiring the characteristic information of all users further comprises:
S20, acquiring the user age and the user gender of each user via an input device; this step is to acquire the user age and the user gender of a user directly via the input device; the input device includes devices for determining the user age and the user gender directly by capturing a characteristic of the user, such as an image capture device, an audio capture device, a fingerprint capture device, an iris capture device, etc. ; or
S21, acquiring a user name via an input device, searching for the user age and the user gender of the user corresponding to each of the user names in a preset characteristic  information list; this step is to first acquire the user name via the input device and then search for the user age and the user gender by means of the user name; the input device in this step includes devices for selecting or inputting a character, such as a remote controller.
The method disclosed by this embodiment further demonstrates a method for acquiring user characteristic information.
FIG. 2 is a schematic flow chart of an alternative embodiment of a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method disclosed by the present disclosure. As shown, in an alternative embodiment, the input device is an image capture device; S20, acquiring the user age and the user gender of each user via the input device further comprises:
S30, capturing a facial image via the image capture device;
S31, identifying the facial image, and acquiring the user age and the user gender of each user. Current human facial identification techniques are able to relatively accurately identify age and gender information via a facial image, and the specific identification methods belong to the prior art, which will not be described here in redundancy.
FIG. 3 is a schematic flow chart of an alternative embodiment of a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method disclosed by the present disclosure. As shown, in an alternative embodiment, S12, judging the user relationship in accordance with the characteristic information further comprises:
S40, pre-establishing a characteristic reference list, the characteristic reference list being configured with correspondence between a combination of any two ages and genders and a user relationship;
S41, searching for the corresponding user relationship in the characteristic reference list as per two persons in a group for all users currently watching the multimedia using the same terminal.
In the step S40, by “correspondence between a combination of any two ages and genders and a user relationship” , it means that after the respective ages and genders of two users are determined respectively, a user relationship can be derived by searching for the corresponding combination in the characteristic reference list.
In an alternative implementation of the embodiment, two sets of data are preset in the characteristic reference list; they are respectively males of different age groups and females of different age groups; in step S41, when searching for a corresponding user relationship, it is only by searching for a corresponding age group in the characteristic reference list respectively according to the user ages and the user genders that a  corresponding user relationship can be found. An alternative setting modeof the characteristic reference list in the implementation is shown in table 1.
Table 1 An alternative setting mode of the characteristic reference list
Figure PCTCN2017077642-appb-000001
The numerals in table 1 represent different user relationships. The above table 1 is not to limit this alternative implementation, but for illustrating a pattern of the characteristic reference list. In an actual setting, the division of age groups may be more delicate, such that more user relationships are obtained. It needs to be noted that more delicate user relationships than the family relationships in an usual sense can be formulated in accordance with the characteristic reference list; for example, when the two users whose relationship is judged to fall respectively into the age groups “0-18 years old, Male” and “18-60 years old, Male” , the relationship 2 representing the two users’ relationship in table 1 may be “father and son, non-adult son” ; when the two users whose relationship is judged to fall respectively into the age groups “18-60 years old, Male” and “Over 60 years old, Male” , the relationship 8 representing the two users’ relationship in table 1 may be “father and son, adult son” . As such,  it provides more delicate options in determining multimedia tags in accordance with the user relationships.
FIG. 4 is a schematic flow chart of an alternative embodiment of a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method disclosed by the present disclosure. As shown, in an alternative embodiment, S13, determining at least one multimedia tag in accordance with the user relationship and the user age further comprises:
S50, pre-establishing a tag reference list; the tag reference list including correspondence between each type of user relationship and at least one multimedia tag,
this step demonstrates that there may be more than one multimedia tag corresponding to each type of user relationship. For example, when the user relationship is “father and son” , the multimedia tag (s) may be a collection of multimedia types suitable for joint viewing by a father and a son, including “adventure” , “science fiction” , “war” , etc.; when the user relationship is “mother and daughter” , the multimedia tag (s) may be a collection of multimedia types suitable for joint viewing by a mother and a daughter, including “cartoon” , “love” , “metropolis” , etc.;
S51, searching for the multimedia tag (s) corresponding to the user relationship in the tag reference list;
S52, judging whether the user ages of all users are within a pre-determined age range, if yes, performing a step S53, and if no, performing a step S54;
S53, taking the found multimedia tag (s) as the finally determined multimedia tag (s) ;
S54, screening the found multimedia tag (s) in accordance with the user age of the user exceeding the age range and taking a result of the screening as the finally determined multimedia tag (s) .
The steps S52-S54 provide methods for further screening and determining the multimedia tag (s) ; a criterion for the screening is a user age: for example, when it is detected that a user age is below a certain threshold, those multimedia types which are not suitable for viewing by children, such as “horror” , “violence” , etc., may be removed from the found multimedia tag (s) ; when it is detected that a user age is above another threshold, those multimedia types which are not suitable for viewing by elderly people, such as “thriller” , etc. may be removed from the found multimedia tag (s) .
The method disclosed by this embodiment searches for multimedia tag (s) corresponding to a user relationship by presetting a tag reference list; and further screens the found multimedia tag (s) by judging a user age to acquire the finally determined multimedia tag (s) and thereby remove the multimedia tag (s) not suitable for viewing by the user of a  particular age group.
FIG. 5 is a schematic flow chart of an alternative embodiment of a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method disclosed by the present disclosure. As shown, in an alternative embodiment, S54, screening the found multimedia tag (s) in accordance with the user age of the user exceeding the age range and taking the result of the screening as the finally determined multimedia tag (s) further comprises:
S60, judging whether there is a user whose age is below a pre-determined first age threshold; if yes, contrasting the found multimedia tag (s) with the multimedia tags in a preset first screening list, and removing the same multimedia tag (s) . The first age threshold is provided according to actual multimedia grading regulations and user habits in an usual sense; for example, the first age threshold may be provided as 5 years old, such that those multimedia tag (s) with comparatively complicated plots are to be removed for easy understanding by young kids; alternatively, the first age threshold may be provided as 16 years old, such that those multimedia tag (s) with violence details are to be removed for building a healthy watching environment for children;
S61, judging whether there is a user whose age is above a pre-determined second age threshold; if yes, contrasting the found multimedia tag (s) with the multimedia tags in a preset second screening list, and removing the same multimedia tag (s) ;
S62, taking the remaining multimedia tag (s) as the finally determined multimedia tag (s) .
This embodiment specifically discloses a method of screening the found multimedia tag (s) by judging a user age to obtain the finally determined multimedia tag (s) . It needs to be noted that in the above steps, only one age threshold is provided respectively for the judging on an upper and a lower limit of the ages, but in an actual operation, the judgment of the upper and lower limits for the ages may be provided with a plurality of age thresholds, so as to arrive at a more accurate result of judgment.
It needs to be noted that all the statements using “first” and “second” in this embodiment of the present disclosure are to distinguish between two non-identical entities or parameters with identical names, where it can be seen that the “first” and “second” are only for the convenience of expression, and cannot be construed as limitations to the embodiment of the present disclosure. This will not be again explained in the subsequent embodiments.
FIG. 6 is a schematic flow chart of an alternative embodiment of a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method disclosed by the present disclosure. As shown, in an alternative embodiment, S14, searching for and displaying a multimedia file  corresponding to the multimedia tag (s) further comprises:
S70, establishing a multimedia list, the multimedia list including a playback link of at least one multimedia file, and
the multimedia list may be stored at a web server side or alternatively stored locally;
S71, adding multimedia tags to the multimedia list;
S72, sequentially judging whether a multimedia tag determined in accordance with a user relationship matches multimedia tags from a forwarding list; if a match is judged, displaying the forwarding list.

The apparatus includes an intelligent playback terminal provided with an image display interface and an input device, such as a smart computer, a smart TV, etc..
The apparatus disclosed by this embodiment implements a process of forwarding to a terminal a multimedia file that conforms to user relationship, by acquiring the characteristic information of users via the input unit 80, judging a user relationship in accordance with the characteristic information via the relationship judging unit 81, determining multimedia tag (s) in accordance with the user relationship via the tagging unit 82, and searching for and displaying a multimedia file corresponding to the multimedia tag (s) via the searching unit 83. As compared with the prior art apparatus of recommending a multimedia file in accordance with a viewing history or preference of an individual user, the apparatus disclosed by the embodiment is capable of attending to the identities of each user and recommending a multimedia file suitable for joint viewing by the users in accordance with user relationship, which shortens the time for searching for the multimedia file and enhances the viewing experiences of the users.
In an alternative embodiment, the characteristic information includes a user gender and a user age; the input unit 80 is configured to acquire the user age and the user gender of each user via an input device; or, the input unit 80 is configured to acquire a user name via an input device, and search for the user age and the user gender of the user corresponding to each of the user names in a preset characteristic information list.
In an alternative embodiment, the input device is an image capture device; the input unit 80 is configured to capture a facial image via the image capture device; identify the facial image, and acquire the user age and the user gender of each of the user.
In an alternative embodiment, the relationship judging unit 81 is configured to pre-establish a characteristic reference list, the characteristic reference list being configured with correspondence between a combination of any two ages and genders and a user relationship; and search for the corresponding user relationship in the characteristic reference list as per two persons in a group for all users currently watching the multimedia using the same terminal.
In an alternative embodiment, the tagging unit 82 is configured to pre-establish a tag reference list; the tag reference list including correspondence between each type of user relationship and at least one multimedia tag; search for the multimedia tag (s) corresponding to the user relationship in the tag reference list; and judge whether the user ages of all users are within a pre-determined age range; if no, the tagging unit 82 is further configured to screen the found multimedia tags in accordance with the user age of the user exceeding the age range and take a result of the screening as the finally determined multimedia tag (s) .
In an alternative embodiment, the tagging unit 82 is configured to judge whether  there is a user whose age is below a pre-determined first age threshold; if yes, the tagging unit 82 is further configured to contrast the found multimedia tag (s) with the multimedia tags in a preset first screening list, and remove the same multimedia tag (s) ;
the tagging unit 82 I configured to judge whether there is a user whose age is above a pre-determined second age threshold; if yes, the tagging unit 82 is further configured to contrast the found multimedia tag (s) with the multimedia tags in a preset second screening list, and remove the same multimedia tag (s) ;
the tagging unit 82 is also configured to take the remaining multimedia tag (s) as the finally determined multimedia tag (s) .
In an alternative embodiment, the searching unit 83 is configured to establish a multimedia list, the multimedia list including a playback link of at least one multimedia file; add multimedia tags to the multimedia list; and sequentially judge whether a multimedia tag determined in accordance with a user relationship matches multimedia tags from a forwarding list; if a match is identified, the searching unit 83 is further configured to display the forwarding list.
From the above, it can be seen that a user relationship based multimedia recommendation method and apparatus disclosed by the present disclosure implement the process of recommending multimedia based on user relationship, by means of acquiring user characteristics, determining a user relationship of users jointly viewing a multimedia file in accordance with the user characteristics, determining multimedia tag (s) in accordance with the user relationship, and searching for and displaying a multimedia file corresponding to the multimedia tag (s) . As compared with the prior art, the method and apparatus of the present disclosure solve the problem in the prior art that recommendation of multimedia can only depend on the viewing records and preferences of an individual user, not attending to other users for joint viewing. By recommending a multimedia file that is suitable for joint viewing by all users in accordance with user relationships, the method and apparatus of the present disclosure can shorten the time for searching for the multimedia file and enhance the viewing experiences of the users.
Further by judging whether a user age exceeds a pre-determined threshold, screening the found multimedia tags and removing those multimedia tags that are not suitable for viewing by some users, the method and apparatus disclosed by the present disclosure accomplishes a finally recommended multimedia file suitable for joint viewing by all users intended for watching the multimedia together, so as to prevent from causing discomfort of some special users while watching and from affecting their viewing experiences.
