SELF-LOCKING AND CONCEALABLE LEG SYSTEM IN FURNITURE
Technical Field
Present invention pertains to furniture legs.
Invention is particularly related to a self-locking and concealable leg system in furniture which works in stages by changing furniture legs to free and locked positions automatically.
Description of State of the Art
Various types of furniture are used in our daily lives. Furniture legs in different structures which provides furniture products to stand on the floor are used.
In furniture legs that are used today it is necessary to convert legs into its locked position by hand in order to keep legs in its locked position. Again changing its position from locked to free should be done manually from the relating part. In that case user has to make an effort for each locking position and may give arise to possible accidents while bending down.
Some problems can be seen in leg systems that are used in furniture. Furniture leg can be stuck in a certain position. Moving furniture can be difficult and may cause accidents.
In the case that furniture leg cannot be switched into its locked position some problems occur in using furniture leg. Manufacturing of common furniture legs are difficult and time consuming. Then production costs become higher.
As in the case of breakdown of some furniture legs, there may occur some situations that takedown of the base part of the furniture might be necessary. So that furniture can be damaged while taking down and repairing the furniture leg. While cleaning and/or moving the furniture from one point to another, people may harm their waists, arms and/or other parts of their body, also some accidents may happen. Moreover, during transportation of the furniture, furniture legs may be harmed. It is aimed that furniture legs are not damaged and a contribution in transportation of furniture can be provided.
In the application of patent with number WO200801 1673 a solution related to adjustment of furniture leg is given. But, it is not a solution which can overcome the stated problems. It is not able to provide adjustment of locking position of the furniture leg automatically.
There is a need for a solution which can provide long lasting, maintenance friendly furniture legs which work without any problem.
Description of the Purposes of the Invention
Based on the state of the art the purpose of the invention is to develop a self-locking and concealable leg system in furniture legs which solves the problems in current businesses. Another purpose of the invention is that free and locked positions of furniture legs can be adjusted automatically.
Further purpose of the invention is that furniture legs are capable of switching to free and locked positions automatically like a pen system.
Another purpose of the invention is that furniture legs work with no problem during the usage.
Further purpose of the invention is also that the furniture legs become able to move by wheels getting out of bottom surface when it is pushed down and when it is pushed down once more wheels get into thus movement of furniture legs can be prevented with furniture legs standing upon a flat surface.
Further purpose of the invention is moreover that accidents become preventable by means of self-locking and concealable furniture leg system.
In order to succeed in these stated purposes a self-locking and concealable leg system has been developed.

Disclosure of the Invention
Our invention is self-locking and concealable leg system in furniture and comprises a moving mechanism (6) which works in free and locked positions inside the furniture leg (2) mounted on furniture (1 ). Moving mechanism (6), works with a repressive elastic piece and by moving up and down over a guide piece. At the bottom surface of the leg (8) when moving instrument (7) remains inside the body (9) it doesn't move as it is locked. Moving instrument (7) which is controlled by moving mechanism (6) inside the body (9) becomes able to move freely by getting out of the bottom surface of the leg (8).
In furniture legs (2) locked position of leg (3) and free position of leg (4) are adjusted automatically. The body (9) is mounted on the furniture (1 ) through the leg connection (5) on it.
Automatic leg system that can be used in furniture (1 ) such as beds, armchairs, tables, coffee tables, showcases, has been developed. A different mechanism providing height control for the furniture leg (2) can also be used over the body (9). By applying pressure on furniture leg (2) and then releasing, moving instrument (7) moves outward and gets to free position of leg (4). And when it is repressed down and released once again moving instrument (7) positions in the body (9) gets to locked position of leg (3).
Height of furniture leg (2) can be adjusted over the body (9). It can be used also in structures like different furniture (1 ), white appliances. Moving mechanism (6) can be used changing its position with each movement as it moves up and down inside a guide piece with spring like elastic pieces in a similar way to pen mechanism.
It comprises self-locking furniture leg (2) system wherein the body (9) gets into locked or free positions with a downforce in order to provide furniture leg (2) to get into self-locking and/or concealable position, wherein at least one moving mechanism (6) provides the body (9) to get into free and locked position, and at least one moving
instrument (7) on moving mechanism (6) provides moving mechanism (6) to move on the surface in free position
The body (9) which pushes forward when it is pressed down and get into free and locked position with each pushing, comprises at least one moving instrument (7) inside. It also comprises at least one bottom surface of leg (8) that stands on the floor when it is in its locked position under the body (9).
It comprises a moving mechanism (6) which gets into locked and free positions by moving on a guide path with the pressure of spring, the body (9) in which moving mechanism (6) is positioned, and at least one leg connection (5) which is mounted to furniture (1 ) over the body (9).
The body (9) which is mounted under the furniture (1 ) such as beds, armchairs, tables, coffee tables, showcases has been developed. The body (9) wherein the moving mechanism (6) that is providing the furniture leg (2) to work in different positions, changes its position with a downforce, and works by rotating around its own axis endlessly after being repressed and released, and a guide path which the moving mechanism (6) moves on and provides the moving mechanism (6) to get into locked and free positions inside the body (9) have been developed.
It comprises a moving mechanism (6) that works in a continuous endless loop wherein the mechanism becomes locked by rotating around its own axis and moving forward at a certain amount after being pressed and becomes free by rotating around its own axis and moving forward at a certain amount after being pressed again.
Moving instrument (7) which can be lost and/or concealed and/or retracted getting inside the body (9), moving mechanism (6) which provides the moving instrument (7) to get locked or lost by retracting have been developed.
Claims
1. The invention pertains to furniture leg (2) systems used in furniture (1 ) which is characterized in that; in order to provide furniture leg (2) to get into its self- locking and/or concealable position it comprises,
- the body (9) which gets into locked or free position with a downforce
- at least one moving mechanism (6) inside the body (9) providing it to get into free and locked positions
- self-locking furniture leg (2) comprising at least one moving instrument (7) which provides moving instrument (6) to move on the surface when it is in free position.
2. Self-locking furniture leg (2) system according to claim 1 , comprising;
- at least one moving instrument (7) inside the body (9) which is pushed forward with a downforce and gets into free and locked positions with each pushing
3. Self-locking furniture leg system (2) according to any of the claims above, which is characterized in that; it comprises,
- at least one bottom surface of leg (8) which stands on the floor under the body (9) in locked position.
4. Self-locking furniture leg (2) system according to claim 1 which is characterized in that; it comprises,
- moving mechanism (6) which gets into locked and free positions by moving over the guide path with spring pressure,
- the body (9) wherein the moving mechanism (6) is positioned,
- at least one leg connection (5) where the furniture (1 ) is mounted over the body (9).
5. Self-locking furniture leg (2) system according to claim 1 which is characterized in that; it comprises,
- the body (9) which is mounted under furniture (1 ) such as beds, armchairs, tables, coffee tables showcases.
6. Self-locking furniture leg (2) system according to claim 1 which is characterized in that; it comprises,
- the body (9) wherein the moving mechanism (2) providing the furniture leg (2) to work in different positions, changes its position with a down force and works rotating endlessly around its own axis after being pressed and released,
- a guide path which provides the moving mechanism (6) to get into locked and free positions in the body (9) and on which the moving mechanism (6) moves.
7. Self-locking furniture leg (2) system according to claim 1 which is characterized in that; it comprises,
- moving mechanism (9) which moves forward at a certain amount after being pressed and gets locked and moves forward at a certain amount and gets free after being pressed again and works in such an endless loop.
8. Self-locking furniture leg (2) system according to claim 1 which is characterized in that; it comprises,
- moving instrument (7) which can be lost and/or concealed and/or retracted getting inside the body (9), moving mechanism (6) which provides moving instrument (7) to get locked or lost by retracting.
