Description
A TOOL KIT CARRIER
DESCRIPTION
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a tool kit carrier which is placed on the vehicle bumper and enables the tools required for the vehicle to be carried. Background of the Invention
Tool kit is a kind of container used in the industry or household applications which provides stacking by putting all types of products therein and enables to supply the product when required. Depending on the category of the required product, it is a common situation that products with same features are placed in a single tool kit.
In vehicles, the tool kits are present in all vehicles except for tractors, and generally located inside the cabin, behind the bedding, driver and passenger seats. In case the standard tools of vehicles such as repair kit, crowbar, and tire iron are needed, they are taken from the cabin and used outside. Possible mud, snow, and oil residues are carried inside the cabin after the tools are used.
In the current system, the tools such as repair kit, crowbar, and tire iron are hanged in the cabin. In case of accident or emergency breaking, it is possible for tools to detach from their positions and cause unwanted situations that will danger the health of the passenger and the driver. Furthermore, they cannot meet the ergonomic requirements since they are difficult to access in the vehicle cabin and it is also difficult to attach them to their place after being used. In addition to this, they take too much space where they are located.
The Problems Solved with the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide a tool kit carrier which prevents the user from being hurt by the tools in case of a possible accident.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a tool kit carrier which enables easy access to the tools required outside the vehicle. A further objective of the present invention is to provide a tool kit carrier which prevents the possible mud, snow, and oil residues in the cabin after the tools are used.
Detailed Description of the Invention
A tool kit carrier developed to fulfill the objectives of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which:
Figure 1 is the perspective view of a tool kit carrier.
Figure 2 is the perspective view of a tool kit carrier.
The components shown in the figures are each given reference numbers as follows:
1. Tool kit carrier
2. Bracket
3. Carrier
4. Housing
5. Cover
A tool kit carrier (1), which is placed on the vehicle bumper and enables the tools required for the vehicle to be carried therein, essentially comprises
at least one bracket (2) which is obtained by bending the metal profiles connected on the vehicle chassis,
- at least one carrier (3) which is connected on the bracket (2) and has a structure corresponding two open sides,
at least one housing (4) which enters into the carrier (3) from the open part of it (3), and which has a form allowing materials to be carried therein, at least one cover (5) to the open part of the carrier (3), and which has a twist on feature.
In the inventive tool kit carrier (1), there is a bracket - preferably in form of a triangle- (2) formed by bending the metal profiles connected on the vehicle chassis. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, two brackets (2) are used which are connected symmetrically on the chassis and brackets (2) are connected on the chassis via connecting members or welding method. The carrier (3) preferably having a cylinder shape with two open sides is connected on the brackets (2). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the carrier (3) can be in form of a rectangle or a prism with two open sides.
There is a housing (4) which enters into the carrier (3) from the open part of the it
(3) , and which has a form that allows materials to be carried therein. The housing
(4) can enter and go out of the carrier (3). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, there is a slider so that the housing (4) can move inside the carrier (3). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a housing (4) can be placed inside each side of the carrier (3) with two open sides.
The tools are carried inside the housing (4) and connected with the suspension clips so that they can remain inside the housing (4) without moving. Channels are made on the housing (4) for connecting the suspensions clips. There is a cover
(5) for the open part of the carrier (3) which has a twist on feature. The cover (5) part is closed with a leak proof gasket which ensures to be waterproof.
By means of a tool kit carrier (1) outside the cabin, it is prevented that the user gets hurt from the tools in case of a possible accident, and the tools can easily be accessed when required outside the vehicle. Furthermore, by means of a tool kit (1) outside the cabin, possible mud, snow, and oil residues after use are prevented from being carried into the cabin.
