Abstract
The invention relates to an universal joint for the connection of two shafts of a cardanic transmission of torque. Said universal joint consists of two joint forks (1), each having two fork limbs (2) which are connected at its opposite end in a rotationally fixed manner to a shaft (3), and an universal joint star (4) with four bearing journals (5) which are rotatably mounted in the fork joint (1) by means of a bearing bush (7, 11). The fork legs (2) of the universal joint are designed in the form of a shell-like receptacle (9) for the bearing bush (7, 11), said receptacle being open in the axial direction of the shafts (3), comprising a stop for the free end side of the bearing bush (7, 11), said receptacle receiving a narrow region of the outer surface of the bearing bush (7, 11) in a form-fitting manner. The bearing bush (7, 11) has an outer contour which corresponds to the inner contour of the shell-like receptacle (9) and can be introduced into the shell-like receptacle (9) in the axial direction of the shafts (3). In order to secure the position of the bearing bush (7, 11) in the fork joint (1) in the axial direction of the shaft (3), a latching connection is provided on the fork leg (2) and/or the bearing bush (7, 11). According to the invention, the latching connection is arranged in the region of the shell-like receptacle (9), which receives the region of the outer surface of the bearing bush (7, 11), which extends in the direction of the axis of rotation of the bearing journal (5).
