Description
본 발명은 탄소 섬유 및 우레탄 수지를 포함하는 복합 필름 제조방법 및 이에 의하여 제조된 복합필름에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 우레탄과 탄소섬유 시트간 밀착력이 향상되어 내마모성 탄성 등이 우수한 탄소 섬유 및 우레탄 수지를 포함하는 복합 필름 제조방법 및 이에 의하여 제조된 복합필름에 관한 것이다.
우레탄 필름은 자동차자 가전제품의 내장재로 널리 사용되고 있다. 예를 들어 대한민국 공개특허 10-2005-0061010호는 자동차용 내장재로서 우레탄 필름을 이용하는 기술을 개시하고 있다.
한편 탄소섬유가 가지는 높은 기계적 물성을 복합필름에 이용하는 기술 또한 활발히 연구되고 있다. 관련하여 대한민국 공개특허 10-1997-0701753호 등은 프래그 및 탄소섬유강화 복합재료 관련 기술을 개시하고 있다.
하지만 탄소섬유가 가지는 다공 구조, 특히 직조된 탄소섬유는 우레판 필름과의 접촉면적이 낮아, 필름이 뜨게 되어, 쉽게 박리되는 문제가 있다.
따라서, 본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 과제는 다층 필름을 포함하는 우레탄 복합필름으로서, 탄소섬유와의 접착력이 강화되어, 우수한 기계적 물성을 가지면서 층간 박리 문제를 해결하는 복합필름 제조방법 및 이에 의하여 제조된 복합필름을 제공하는 것이다.
상기 과제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 발명은 탄소 섬유에 액상 우레탄 수지를 함침시키는 단계; 상기 탄소 섬유에 함침된 액상 우레탄 수지를 건조시켜 상기 액상 우레탄 수지의 용매를 증발시키는 단계; 및 상기 탄소 섬유에 우레탄 필름을 접착시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 필름 제조방법을 제공한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에서, 상기 수용성 우레탄 수지의 점도는 10 내지 5000 cps이다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에서, 상기 탄소 섬유에 우레탄 필름을 접착시키는 단계는 압출 티다이 공정으로 진행되며, 상기 압출 티다이 공정 중 티다이에서 우레탄이 용융되어 흘러나올 때 상기 탄소 섬유 내로 함침된 우레탄이 용융된다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에서, 상기 액상 우레탄 수지는 수용성 우레탄 수지, 유기용제 기반 우레탄 수지 및 경화형액상우레탄으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 어느 하나이다.
또한, 본 발명은 상술한 복합 필름 제조방법에 의하여 제조되며, 탄소섬유 및 우레탄 필름을 포함하는 복합필름을 제공한다.
본 발명에 따르면, 필수적으로 공극 구조를 갖는 탄소 섬유에 액상 우레탄 수지를 먼저 함침시켜 공극 내를 우레탄 고형분으로 채우게 된다. 이로써 액상상태의 수지를 사용하지 않고 압출 디타이코팅이나 접착방식으로 탄소섬유를 합지할 경우 발생하는 박리현상및 공극미세구간을 방지하여 복합필름의 기계적 물성을 크게 향상시킨다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 탄소 섬유 및 우레탄 수지를 포함하는 복합 필름 제조방법의 단계도이다.
이하, 첨부한 도면을 참조하여 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자가 용이하게 실시할 수 있도록 본원의 구현예 및 실시예를 상세히 설명한다.
그러나 본원은 여러 가지 상이한 형태로 구현될 수 있으며 여기에서 설명하는 구현예 및 실시예에 한정되지 않는다. 그리고 도면에서 본 발명을 명확하게 설명하기 위해서 설명과 관계없는 부분은 생략하였으며, 명세서 전체를 통하여 유사한 부분에 대해서는 유사한 도면 부호를 붙였다.
본원 명세서 전체에서, 어떤 부분이 어떤 구성 요소를 "포함" 한다고 할 때, 이는 특별히 반대되는 기재가 없는 한 다른 구성 요소를 제외하는 것이 아니라 다른 구성 요소를 더 포함할 수 있는 것을 의미한다.
본원 명세서 전체에서 사용되는 정도의 용어 "약", "실질적으로" 등은 언급된 의미에 고유한 제조 및 물질 허용오차가 제시될 때 그 수치에서 또는 그 수치에 근접한 의미로 사용되고, 본원의 이해를 돕기 위해 정확하거나 절대적인 수치가 언급된 개시 내용을 비양심적인 침해자가 부당하게 이용하는 것을 방지하기 위해 사용된다. 본원 명세서 전체에서 사용되는 정도의 용어 "~(하는) 단계" 또는 "~의 단계"는 "~ 를 위한 단계"를 의미하지 않는다.
본원 명세서 전체에서, 마쿠시 형식의 표현에 포함된 "이들의 조합"의 용어는 마쿠시 형식의 표현에 기재된 구성 요소들로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상의 혼합 또는 조합을 의미하는 것으로서, 상기 구성 요소들로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상을 포함하는 것을 의미한다. 본원 명세서 전체에서, “A 및/또는 B”의 기재는, “A 또는 B, 또는 A 및 B”를 의미한다.
탄소 섬유를 별도의 무기물질인 프리플래그 액상을 공극 구조내로 침투시킨 후, 이를 경화하는 종래 기술과 달리, 본 발명은 실제 접착되는 필름과 동일 계열의 고형분을 함유한 액상 우레탄 수지를 공극구조를 갖는 탄소섬유 내로 함침시킨 후, 후속하여 압축 티다이 방식으로 우레탄 필름을 탄소 섬유 상에 코팅시킨다. 이로써, 압출 디타이코팅이나 접착방식으로 탄소섬유에 우레탄 필름을 합지할 경우 발생하는 박리현상및 공극미세구간을 방지하여 복합필름의 기계적 물성을 크게 향상시킨다. 더 나아가, 1차 함침 과정을 거친 탄소 섬유 상에서 진행되는 2차 코팅인 압출 티다이 방식으로 우레탄 필름의 두께를 제어할 수 있으며, 시트의 색상 및 우레탄의 그레이드 (경도)를 자유롭게 조절가능하다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 복합필름 제조방법의 단계도이다.
도 1을 참조하면, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 복합필름 제조방법은, 탄소 섬유에 액상 우레탄 수지를 함침시키는 단계; 상기 탄소 섬유에 함침된 수용성 우레탄 수지를 건조시켜 액상 우레탄 수지의 용매를 증발시키는 단계; 및 상기 탄소 섬유에 우레탄 필름을 접착하는 단계를 포함한다. 본 명세서에서 액상 우레탄 수지는 탄소 섬유의 공극으로 침투되어 함침될 수 있는 점도를 갖는 모든 우레탄 수지를 포함하며, 에를 들어 물에 기반한 수용성 우레탄 수지 또는 THF,MEK,DMF 등과 같은 휘발성 유기용제에 우레탄 수지가 용해된 유기 우레탄 수지 또는 경화형 액상 우레타 수지를 모두 포함한다. 특히 환경친화적인 측면에서 수용성 우레탄 수지가 바람직하나, 본 발명의 범위는 이에 제한되지 않으며, 유기 용제에 기반한 우레탄 수지도 상기 액상 우레탄 수지에 포함된다.
본 발명에서 탄소 섬유는 바람직하게는 직조 섬유 형태이나, 본 발명의 범위는 이에 제한되지 않으며, 수용성 우레탄 수지가 침투될 수 있는 수준의 공극을 갖는 한 이는 모두 본 발명의 범위에 속한다.
본 발명에서 공극 구조 내로 수용성 우레탄 수지가 함침되어, 침투하는 것은 중요한데, 이 경우 공극 내로 침투하는 우레탄 수용성 수지의 점도가 고려된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에서, 상기 수용성 우레탄 수지의 점도는 10 내지 5000 cps이며, 바람직하게는 1000 cps이다.
하지만, 공극 내부까지 고형분이 충분히 채우기 위해서는 낮은 점도의 수용성 우레탄 수지를 사용하는 것이 바람직하나, 이 경우, 고형분의 양이 충분하지 못해 건조 과정에서 고형분이 공극을 충분히 채울 수 없게 된다는 문제가 있다.
따라서, 본 발명의 일 실시예는 액상 우레탄 수지를 탄소섬유에 도포하여 함침시키고, 이후 압출 티다이 공정으로 상기 탄소섬유 상에 우레탄 수지를 코팅한다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에서 상기 압출 티다이 공정은 상기 우레탄 고형분이 용융될 수 있는 수준의 온도와 압력 조건에서 수행되며, 이는 종래 기술에 개시된 바와 같으므로, 이에 대한 상세한 설명은 이하 생략한다.
이때 티다이에서 우레탄이 용융되어 흘러나올 때 탄소섬유의 공극을 채우고 있는 우레탄 수지의 고형분도 상기 가열 공정에 따라 용융되어, 상기 탄소섬유 상에 우레탄 수지가 코팅되어, 탄소섬유 상에 우레탄 필름이 접착된 복합필름이 제조된다.
본 발명은 상술한 복합 필름 제조방법에 의하여 제조되며, 탄소섬유 및 우레탄 필름을 포함하는 복합필름을 제공하는데, 상기 복합필름은 자동차 또는 전자제품의 코팅 필름 등으로 활용될 수 있다. 더 나아가, 신발재료 및 생활용품, 즉, 가방 및 쇼파, 침대 등과 같이 시트가 쓰일 수 있는 제품에도 본 발명에 따른 복합필름이 사용될 수 있다.
Claims (5)
- 탄소 섬유에 액상 우레탄 수지를 함침시키는 단계;상기 탄소 섬유에 함침된 액상 우레탄 수지를 건조시켜 상기 액상 우레탄 수지의 용매를 증발시키는 단계; 및상기 탄소 섬유에 우레탄 필름을 접착시키는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 필름 제조방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 수용성 우레탄 수지의 점도는 10 내지 5000 cps인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 필름 제조방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 탄소 섬유에 우레탄 필름을 접착시키는 단계는 압출 티다이 공정으로 진행되며,상기 압출 티다이 공정 중 티다이에서 우레탄이 용융되어 흘러나올 때 상기 탄소 섬유 내로 함침된 우레탄이 용융되는 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 필름 제조방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서,상기 액상 우레탄 수지는 수용성 우레탄 수지, 유기용제 기반 우레탄 수지 및 경화형액상우레탄으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 어느 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 복합 필름 제조방법.
- 제 1항 내지 제 4항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 복합 필름 제조방법에 의하여 제조되며, 탄소섬유 및 우레탄 필름을 포함하는 복합필름.
