Abstract

A purpose is to obtain a hydraulic pressure controller 1 that can be downsized and a method for manufacturing a similar kind of hydraulic pressure controller. The hydraulic pressure controller 1 controls the hydraulic pressure of a brake hydraulic circuit C1, C2 and includes a base body 10 formed with a cylinder bore 40, one end of which in an axial direction communicates with a drive mechanism 2A and the other end 50 of which is opened, and a pump device 2 for regulating the hydraulic pressure. The pump device 2 includes a piston 41 that is disposed in the cylinder bore 40 and that reciprocates in an interlocking manner with an operation of the drive mechanism 2A, a compression spring 45 that is disposed in the cylinder bore 40 and urges the piston 41; and a suction-side check valve 46 that is disposed between the piston 41 and the other end 50 of the cylinder bore 40 in the cylinder bore 40 so as to restrain a reverse flow of a brake fluid that is suctioned in the cylinder bore 40.
