Abstract

The invention relates to catalysts comprising a carbon phase, and to methods for producing same. The main sector in which the materials described are intended for use is pollutant elimination, in particular the degradation of organic molecules in water- and/or air-decontamination processes using ultraviolet light (UV) and visible light. Another sector in which the described materials are suitable for use is the production of unsaturated alcohols using reactions involving the hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated aldehydes, in liquid phase.
