Description

D E S C R I P T I O N
Cap Having A Body and Peak Completely Detachable From Each Other Technical Field
Cap is an accessory which can be worn or put on the head and has many different types. This invention is related to a peak cap, which is used for protecting the head from hot, cold or rain and has a detachable and replaceable peak.
Prior Art
Peak cap is a hat that is designed for protecting the head, forehead and eyes from rain, cold and especially from sunlight. A peak cap is composed of a hat and a peak that extends toward the front. There is a snap adjuster at the back of the head, which ensures adjustment of the cap according to the size of the head.
In the American patent document with the number US2014/0082826 contained in the current technic, a cap with a zip is mentioned. Such cap has at least one zip structure at the top. Such zip extends to the front or to another direction from the top of the cap. Cap user can release his/her hair out of the cap from the gap or opening that appears when the zip is opened. In the Chinese utility model document with the number CN203341061 contained in the current technic, a peak cap with a moving sun visor is mentioned. There is a zip and a sun visor on such cap. The zip located at the cap front is positioned along the peak. Sun visor can be positioned below or above the peak level by opening the zip.
Another application that is contained in the current technic is the Chinese utility model document with the number CN2796441. In this application, a replaceable cap is mentioned. Top of this cap can be detached completely by means of a zip. The purpose of the invention stated in the mentioned document is to create a cap with a detachable top, which can be also used as a summer hat. Complete separation of the hat and peak parts of the cap is intended. The hat part is fixed and the top section can be detached from the hat.
In the known technic, there isn't any application where the hat (cap body) and the sun visor (peak) are completely detached. Purpose of the Invention
The purpose of the invention is to develop a cap, the hat (cap body) and the sun visor (peak) of which are completely detachable from each other. Another purpose of the invention is to develop a cap, where peaks in colours and models that suit to the preferred clothing can be used on a single cap body.
Another purpose of the invention is to develop a cap set that allows owning a cap in more than one colour and/or model by paying a price that is worth for almost one cap.
The cap, which has been developed for realizing such purposes, has a zip structure that connects the cap body and the peak. One side of the zip is located on the cap body and the other side is located on the peak. The zip can be moved manually between two sides and thus the peak can be detached from the cap body. In alternative applications of the invention, snap fasteners, buttons, velcro or similar apparatus can be used instead of zip for combining and detaching the peak with the cap body. The invention, the registration of which is requested, is a cap (1) and is composed of a cap body (2), a zip (3), a peak(4), a cap border (5), a peak border (6) and snap adjuster (7). The most important matter that distinguishes the invention from the known applications of the technic is the zip (3) that connects the cap body (2) and the peak. Cap body (2) and the peak (4) can be completely detached from each other thanks to the zip (3).
In alternative applications of the invention, snap fasteners, buttons, velcro or similar apparatus can be used instead of zip (3) for combining and detaching the peak (4) with the cap body (2). The zip (3) brings a more aesthetic and sportive look to the invention. One side of the zip (3) is located on the cap body and the other side is located on the peak(4). The zip (3) can be moved manually between two sides and thus the peak (4) can be detached from the cap body (2).
Although a cap (1) is used for the purpose of protecting the head from hot, cold or rain, its aesthetic function is also important since it is an accessory. A cap (1) cannot be thought of independent from the colours of the clothing worn by its user. Thus, the cap (1) preferred must have colours that are in harmony with the clothes.
Vast majority of people prefer different colours in a wide range rather than always wearing the same colours casually. Caps (1) that are in harmony with the colours must be preferred for the clothes in different colours. In this case, it has become an obligation to have caps (1) in many colours and models in the wardrobes. Since each cap (1) brings an extra burden to the budget, most of the people are unable to have a cap (1) collection that is wide enough to be used with different clothing. Thanks to the invention, cap bodies (2) and/or peaks (4) in different colours and models can be offered for sale multiple sets. Since in peak caps (1), the peak (4) is more important than the cap body (2) in terms of the colour harmony, a cap body (2) can be sold as a set with peaks (4) in 4-5 different colours or models. Each element of the cap (1) can be sold solo or it may be possible to sell sets having unlimited number of different combinations.
Peak border (6) is located on the inner part of the section where the peak (4) is connected to the zip (3). Cap border is on the other hand, located along the perimeter of the inner parts where the zip (3) side and snap adjuster (7) are not located. Thanks to the invention, peaks (4) in colours and models that suit to the desired clothing, can be attached on a single cap body (2).
