As a technology that can be used when these devices are connected, for example, in Patent Document 1, the TV-related information received by the television is transmitted to the mobile terminal device, and the mobile terminal device uses another communication function to manage another program. It is disclosed that related information is received and a program table is generated by combining both on a mobile terminal device.
Television can receive various broadcast programs such as terrestrial digital broadcasting, satellite broadcasting, and cable television broadcasting. To that end, it is necessary to optimally install a receiving antenna or connect a dedicated optical cable. It is. On the other hand, in the portable terminal device, digital broadcasts can be received by the built-in antenna, but the receivable programs are limited by the difference in reception performance of the built-in antenna. That is, the mobile terminal device may not be able to view a program that can be received on a television, which is unsatisfactory for the user.
Even if the portable terminal device and the television can receive the same program, the portable terminal device having excellent operability such as channel selection and the television capable of displaying a high image quality on a large screen are used separately. Is reasonable. These are not considered in the prior art including Patent Document 1.
An object of the present invention is to enable viewing of a program including a program that cannot be received by the mobile terminal device, and to easily switch a program video viewed on the mobile terminal device to display on a television. Is to provide a system.
The above problem is solved by, for example, the invention described in the scope of claims. For example, in a mobile terminal device that displays a video of a broadcast program, a broadcast receiving unit that receives the broadcast program, a communication unit that connects to an external video device and transmits and receives video data and control data of the broadcast program, A display unit that displays a video of a broadcast program, an operation input unit that inputs a user's operation, and a display control unit that controls display of the broadcast program according to an input to the operation input unit, It is possible to display both the broadcast program received at the broadcast receiving unit and the broadcast program received from the external video device via the communication unit, and the video of the broadcast program was displayed on the operation input unit When an operation for touching and / or sliding the screen of the display unit is input, the display control unit selects a broadcast program to be displayed on the display unit in accordance with the operation.
Also, the operation input unit has a display switching button for switching the video of the broadcast program displayed on the display unit to display on an external video device connected to the communication unit.
According to the present invention, it is possible to view a program including a program that cannot be received by the mobile terminal device. Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a concept of a program viewing system according to the first embodiment. In this program viewing system, a portable terminal device (hereinafter referred to as a terminal), a digital television (hereinafter referred to as DTV), a cable television receiver with a recording function (hereinafter referred to as CATV / recorder) and the like are connected. Is configured.
The DTV 130 and CATV / recorder 140 each receive a broadcast signal from an antenna signal 120 (hereinafter referred to as an RF signal) or an optical cable 141. A digital AV signal 131 is transmitted and received between the DTV and the CATV / recorder, and a broadcast program is displayed and recorded. The terminal 100 receives radio waves of terrestrial digital broadcasting with an antenna, and displays and views the broadcast program.
Further, the terminal 100 can also receive and display the broadcast program received by the DTV 130 or CATV / recorder 140 as the control / video signal 150 via communication means such as a wireless LAN. In that case, even if the DTV 130 and the CATV / recorder 140 are in the power-off state, only the built-in tuner and the communication means such as the wireless LAN need only be supplied with power.
Here, two examples of different display formats of the screen as the terminal 100 are shown. On the screen of the terminal 100a, the broadcast station name and program name of the program being displayed are displayed together with the program video. On the screen of the terminal 100b, a list of other broadcast station names and program names currently being broadcast are displayed together with the program video. As a feature of the present embodiment, the terminal 100a and the terminal 100b perform display program (channel) switching and display switching to the DTV 130 as follows.
A touch panel is mounted on the screen of the terminal 100a, and after touching the displayed program video with the touch pen 102 or a finger, it slides to the left or right (hereinafter referred to as swipe), so that the program of the adjacent channel is displayed. Switch to video. At this time, if the terminal 100a directly receives the terrestrial digital broadcast by its own tuner, the terminal itself switches the channel. When a program video is received via the DTV 130 or CATV / recorder 140, the control / video signal 150 is used to request the DTV or CATV / recorder to switch channels, and the received program video is displayed on the screen. indicate.
Further, when a button 101 provided on the side of the terminal is pressed while a program video is being displayed on the terminal A 100a, the DTV 130 is turned on, and the program video displayed on the terminal 100a is turned into a large screen DTV. To display. That is, the video of the channel being viewed on the terminal 100a can be immediately switched to the large-screen DTV video display by simply pressing the button 101 and viewed.
Next, in the case of the terminal 100b, a desired item is touched with a touch pen 102 or a finger from a list of broadcast station names or program names to switch to the broadcast station, and display of a desired program video is displayed. It can be performed. Also, by pressing the button 101, the displayed program video can be switched to the display on the large-screen DTV 130 and viewed.
After the start of viewing on the DTV, the operation of the terminal application may be terminated, but the remote control function may be continuously used.
FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing a device configuration in the program viewing system of FIG. Here, it is assumed that the apparatus is connected to the Internet via a CATV line, and shows the mutual connection between the apparatus connected to the CATV video signal and the apparatus connected to the network.
Information from the Internet 201 is brought indoors by a CATV optical cable 211. Information from the optical cable is separated by the I / F BOX 210, and a digital signal 212 including a video signal and a digital signal 213 including an Internet signal are output. The digital signal 212 is output to the CATV 220 via a coaxial cable, for example, and the digital signal 213 is output to the indoor router 240 via an Ethernet (registered trademark) cable, for example. The digital signal 212 of the coaxial cable is equivalent to the RF signal 291 that is a broadcast radio wave received from the antenna. The digital signal 212 to be supplied to each device is generally input from a broadcast wave, but here, in order to be able to view a program specific to CATV, it is a separate system from the RF signal 291 input from a general antenna. It is composed.
The CATV 220 receives the channel selected by the user by the built-in tuner, decodes the compressed digital video, sends the digital AV signal 214 to the DTV 230, and views the program video on the DTV. The DTV 230, the recorder 270, and the portable DTV 290 each have a built-in tuner that receives normal digital broadcasts. Therefore, by receiving a general broadcast RF signal 291, each receives and displays digital broadcasts independently. be able to. That is, the DTV 230 can select and watch a desired program from the broadcast program received by its tuner and the CATV-dedicated program received by the CATV 220.
The recorder 270 records the broadcast program input as the RF signal 291 on a hard disk (HDD) or the like built in. In addition, the digital AV signal 231 is transmitted to the DTV 230 so that the reproduced video can be viewed on the DTV. The portable DTV 290 is a handheld DTV that can be carried around indoors, can be driven by a battery, and can also reproduce a DVD or a Blu-ray Disc (BD, registered trademark).
On the other hand, the digital signal 213 separated by the I / F BOX 210 is sent to the indoor router 240, and the indoor router automatically assigns an IP address to each indoor Internet-compatible device to construct the indoor LAN 241. In this example, PC 250) and NAS (network access storage) 260 are described as Internet-compatible devices, but the above-described DTV 230, recorder 270, and portable DTV 290 can also be connected to the Internet. These devices are further connected to a mobile terminal device (terminal) 200 such as a mobile phone or a smartphone via a wireless LAN 280.
The terminal 200 not only receives a one-segment broadcast program with its own antenna, but also obtains a broadcast program received by the tuner from the DTV 230, the recorder 270, or the CATV 220 via the wireless LAN 250, and selects a desired program. You can select and watch. Furthermore, the terminal 200 can be switched to video display on the large-screen DTV 230 by pressing the button 101. In that case, the terminal 200 sends the channel number being viewed to the DTV 230, and the DTV receives and displays the broadcast program of the channel number received by its tuner.
FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a hardware configuration of the mobile terminal device (terminal). The terminals 100 and 200 in FIGS. 1 and 2 have a configuration in which a CPU 300 and each element described below are connected via a bus 311.

FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing the basic operation of the mobile terminal device. In step S500, which will be described in the order of steps, initial setting of channels to be viewed is performed. In that case, (a) the channel that was last seen in the past, or (b) the channel that has been designated in advance is set. In step S <b> 501, the terminal receives an image of an initially set channel. In step S <b> 502, the terminal displays the received image on the display unit (LCD) 312.
When the terminal is turned off in S503 or when the terminal operation application is terminated, the remote control function of the terminal is turned off, and as a result, all the DTV and other AV devices can be turned off all at once in S509. . This saves the trouble of turning off the power of each device.
When the DTV display is selected by pressing the button 101 in S504, the process proceeds to S505, where the channel number currently received by the terminal is transmitted to the DTV 230, and the program of the same channel is received and displayed by the DTV. In this way, the terminal only needs to send the channel number without sending video data to the DTV.
Thereafter, the terminal proceeds to S506 and turns off the video and audio of the program being received by the terminal. Note that (a) the sound may be turned off and the video + program guide may be displayed, or (b) only the program guide may be displayed. If the program guide is displayed, it can be used as a remote control for DTV. That is, by selecting a desired program on the terminal, channels of DTV, recorder, and CATV can be switched via infrared or wireless LAN. In the case of (a), the program video of another channel can be confirmed on the terminal regardless of the display program on the DTV.
In S507, when a channel change operation is received at the terminal, the process proceeds to S508 to switch to a new channel. Then, the process returns to S501 to receive a new channel video. This is repeated below.
FIG. 6 is an image diagram for performing a channel change operation on the mobile terminal device. (A) to (f) are cases where the user changes the channel while viewing the video.
As shown in (a), on the screen of the terminal 100, in addition to the image 601 of the currently selected channel, the images 602 and 603 of the adjacent channels on both sides thereof are displayed together. As shown in (b), by swiping the screen with the touch pen 102 or a finger and sliding the video to the left and right, it is possible to switch to the video of the adjacent channel (for example, 603) as shown in (c). Here, the adjacent channels are not limited to those adjacent in the order of the broadcast station channel numbers. When the user independently rearranges the order of the program guide, related channels (for example, when there are a plurality of sports broadcast channels) can be arranged adjacently and selected.
The display mode includes a full screen video display mode as shown in (a) to (c), and a broadcasting station name and a program name on the outside (lower side in the figure) of the video as shown in (d) to (e). 610 is displayed. In either mode, the channel can be changed. However, the mode for displaying the broadcast station name and program name of (d) to (e) returns to the full screen display mode of (a) to (c) when timed out.
On the other hand, (g) to (i) show a method of selecting a channel by designating a program name and a broadcasting station name 620 on the terminal.

At this time, the broadcast station name and program name of the moving image currently displayed are easily understood by the user if displayed together with the video screen. Although not shown, the currently selected broadcast station name and program name in the program table may be displayed in a color different from other broadcast station names and program names.
(E) displays a program name 740 that can be received by a connected DTV, CATV, etc. on a terminal with a plurality of buttons, and switches the channel by selecting it. The button may be a mixture of terrestrial digital, BS, and CATV broadcasting station names. In this display as well, buttons that do not fit in the screen can be scrolled by touch and slide in the same way as in (d), and the broadcast station name can be displayed and selected.
FIG. 8 is a diagram illustrating a method of switching a program displayed on the mobile terminal device to display on the DTV.

For example, when there are a plurality of DTVs, the device names are distinguished and displayed. When a desired icon 802 is selected with the touch pen 102 or a finger, an image is displayed on the DTV or a recording instruction is given using the selected device as a tuner.
(C) When the OFF icon 803 is selected from the icons 802 in (b) with the touch pen 102 or the finger, the video / audio output of the terminal can be turned OFF (OFF operation in S506 in FIG. 5).
FIG. 9 is a diagram showing a data flow between the mobile terminal device and the connected device. The flow of data is shown using the block diagram of FIG.
The terminal 200 shows a case where a broadcast program received by the tuner of the recorder 270 is being viewed. The video signal 901 received by the recorder 270 is transmitted to the terminal 200 via the wireless LAN 280 and displayed. When the display on the DTV 230 is instructed by the terminal 200, the digital video signal 902 is transmitted from the recorder 270 to the DTV 230, and the display is switched to the video display on the DTV 230. As described above, it is not necessary to transmit the digital video signal 902 from the terminal 200 to the DTV 230.
As described above, according to the configuration of the first embodiment, it is possible to view a program including a program that cannot be received by the mobile terminal device. Further, it is possible to easily switch the program video being viewed on the mobile terminal device to the display on the television. Therefore, a user-friendly program viewing system can be provided.
Example 2 describes effective use of resources and improvement in usability in a program viewing system.
FIG. 10 is a diagram showing allocation of reception function resources in the program viewing system. In the program viewing system, terminals, DTVs, recorders, CATVs, etc. each have a reception function (tuner), and these multiple reception function resources are combined to perform efficient screen display. Here, assuming that the terminal screen shown in FIG. 6 is displayed, the currently selected program video (main video) and the program video (sub video) of the adjacent channel are displayed on both sides thereof.
In the configuration of (a), the main video and the two sub-videos are received using the three tuners 1001 to 1003, and the respective signals are decoded by the three decoders 1004 to 1006. The synthesizer 1007 synthesizes these signals, displays the synthesized video on the display unit (LCD) 312 of the terminal, and outputs the sound from the speaker 308.
In the configuration of (b), three tuners 1001 to 1003 are used, but the number of decoders is reduced to two (1004, 1005). A first decoder 1004 is assigned to the central main video, and normal display is performed. On the other hand, the two sub-pictures on both sides are occupied by the tuner, but the decoder shares the second decoder 1005. Both side screen processing circuit 1008 alternately outputs frame signals of two sub-pictures. The synthesizer 1007 synthesizes these signals. As a result, the display frame rate of the sub video is halved, but only a part of the screen of the adjacent channel is displayed, so the influence of the frame rate reduction is small. This configuration is particularly effective when the terminal has a plurality of tuners in the diversity reception system.
FIG. 11 is a configuration diagram for limiting communication between the portable terminal device and the DTV in the same room. Only the terminal in the same room as the DTV can control the DTV, and prevents the channel selection of the DTV from the terminal in the outdoor (adjacent room).
The DTV 130 keeps transmitting the infrared signal 1101 at all times. The terminal 100 in the same room receives this, and the connection is approved by returning a signal indicating the reception to the DTV 130 via the wireless LAN 1102. As a result, the terminal 100 has the authority to control the DTV 130. Note that the infrared signal 1101 may be transmitted from a set top box (CATV, recorder) instead of the DTV.
Here, the infrared signal 1101 is (a) a signal of a specific frequency, or (b) a signal of a bit string (similar to the current AV remote controller) representing a manufacturer code, a device code, and the like. An audio signal other than the infrared signal may be used as long as the signal does not reach the adjacent room and can be received only by the terminal in the same room.
FIG. 12 is a diagram showing various operation modes in the program viewing system.
As shown in (a), here, it is assumed that only the three tuners 1201 to 1203 of DTV, recorder, and CATV are used as the worst case. The three modules 1204 to 1206 connected to these can be operated by switching one of the functions of a recording operation 1207, external transmission 1208 of a video signal via a LAN, and display 1209 on a large DTV.
In (b), various operation modes are shown in the table. In the operation mode 1, when three programs are simultaneously recorded, since all three are used for recording, the display on the terminal 100 is limited to any one of these three channels.
In the operation mode 2, when one program is recorded and one program is displayed on the large screen DTV, only one program (main screen) can be sent to the terminal A (100) via the LAN and displayed. .
In the operation mode 3, three programs can be sent to the terminal B (100) via the LAN, and as shown in FIG. 6, the main screen 1 can be displayed in the center and the sub screens 2 and 3 can be displayed on both sides. .
These are cases where there are three tuner resources. For example, if there are a large number of tuners so that the recorder can perform simultaneous two-station recording and the DTV can simultaneously record two-station recording including the back program, an image to be displayed on the terminal screen. The risk of being unable to display or display one screen is reduced. However, if these tuners are fully used in each AV device, the terminal screen display is subject to the same restrictions as above.
FIG. 13 is a diagram for explaining cooperative viewing of a broadcast program on a mobile terminal device and a DTV. In the program viewing system, broadcast video from the broadcast station 1300 can be received in two systems.
Video content from the broadcast station 1300 is stored in the storage 1301 unless it is a live broadcast, and is transmitted by a broadcast wave (broadcast) 1302. The DTV 230 receives this and displays it.
On the other hand, the video content stored in the storage 1301 is distributed as a moving image stream 1304 via the network 1303 and the router 240, and the DTV 230, the terminal 200, and the PC 250 can perform video streaming playback.
The video transfer rate of the video distributed on the network 1303 is limited so as not to put a burden on the network. Therefore, the number of pixels, the frame rate, the compression rate, and the like are different from those of the broadcast 1302 video. However, there is no restriction on the broadcast time like the image of the broadcast 1302, and the user can receive and reproduce at a desired time.
An example in which these two systems of reception are viewed together will be described. As illustrated in FIG. 7D, when the terminal 200 selects a program other than the current time, the terminal can receive a digest / commercial video of the program via the network 1303. This is also possible for the program at the current time. The user can switch to display on the large screen DTV 230 after confirming the digest / commercial video of the selected program. This function may be performed by an application on the PC 250 as well as the terminal 200.
FIG. 14 is a diagram illustrating an example of video / audio control when a program is selected in the mobile terminal device and the DTV.
(A) is a state where the channel is selected by scrolling the video left and right on the screen of the terminal 100. In this state, the volume output from the speaker of the terminal (reference numeral 308 in FIG. 3) is reduced so that the audio of the two programs is not mixedly output. If the DTV 130 has already output sound from the speaker 1401, the volume output from the speaker is similarly reduced (or muted) during channel selection. That is, the volume of the speaker 1401 is changed according to the screen slide amount on the terminal.
Further, when the DTV 130 is already displaying video, the program is switched simultaneously on the DTV as the terminal selects a channel. In this case, the DTV 130 does not display the screen during the switching, but displays, for example, a character 1402 “channel selection”. As a result, the user can be notified that the DTV is not malfunctioning.
(B) is a state in which the channel selection operation is completed at the terminal 100. When tuning is complete, return the volume output from the terminal speaker to normal. In DTV 130, the volume from speaker 1401 is returned to normal, and the selected video is displayed on the screen.
FIG. 15 is a diagram showing another example of video / audio control when a program is selected in the portable terminal device and the DTV.
(A) displays the voice level gauge 1501 so that the selected terminal 100 can mute the voice and can know the volume of the tuning destination. Also in the DTV 130, the sound of the speaker 1502 is muted during channel selection, and after the channel selection is completed, the sound is output at the volume set by the audio level gauge 1501. Of course, the user can adjust the level of the audio level gauge 1501.
(B), the selected terminal 100 outputs sound from the earphone 1503 (corresponding to reference numeral 309 in FIG. 3) instead of the speaker. In the DTV 130, the sound of the speaker 1502 is muted during channel selection. As a result, the user can check the sound at the time of channel selection using the earphone 1503. Note that the earphone 1503 and the terminal 100 may be not only wired connection but also short-range wireless connection ( reference numerals 318 and 3181 in FIG. 3).
(C) In the selected channel 100, the terminal 100 mutes the sound, and the DTV 130 also mutes the speaker 1502. However, the DTV 130 displays subtitles 1504 on the screen when the program that has been broadcast so far has subtitles, so that it is difficult for other people to continue watching.
As described above, by controlling the video / audio output of the mobile terminal device and the DTV during the program selection period, it is possible to reduce the discomfort experienced by the user due to the disturbance of the video and audio.
