L'invention concerne un filtre d'article à fumer comportant une partie filtre contenant un matériau filtrant cylindrique, un premier papier de revêtement destiné à recouvrir la circonférence extérieure de la partie filtre, un second papier de revêtement destiné à recouvrir la circonférence extérieure du premier papier de revêtement, et une pluralité de sections laissant passer la lumière prévues dans le second papier de revêtement. La surface circonférentielle extérieure du premier papier de revêtement comporte un motif qui est constitué d'une image composite synthétisée à partir d'une pluralité d'images. Les premier et second papiers de revêtement ont la capacité de se déplacer l'un par rapport à l'autre dans une direction prescrite. Lorsque les premier et second papiers de revêtement se déplacent l'un par rapport à l'autre, le motif devient visible à travers la pluralité de sections laissant passer la lumière dans le second papier de revêtement.
