Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fabric tape which is suitable for use in a machine producing and / or processing a fibrous web, in particular a paper, board, tissue or nonwoven machine.
  • Tissue bands of the generic type comprise MD threads extending longitudinal threads which are interwoven with extending in the CMD direction transverse threads to form cross-hairs.
  • Such fabric tapes are usually made flat woven.
  • Such originally flat fabric tapes are made endless at a fabric seam area, so that they can be operated in the machine as endless belts.
  • Such a fabric seam area can be provided, for example, by longitudinal threads, which are woven back in the region of their longitudinal thread end sections and form seam loops.
  • Such a fabric seam area may also be formed by longitudinal thread end sections of longitudinal threads which are joined together in pairs and often interweave along a common weaving path with common transverse threads to form a seam fabric which is often identical to the flat woven fabric portion with transverse threads.
  • the tensile strength of the seam in the weave loops as well as in the fabric seam areas provided by the seam fabric is interwoven by the number of transverse yarns with which the longitudinal yarn end portions are woven back together or by the number of transverse yarns with which the merged longitudinal yarn end portions are woven together following a common weaving path depends and increases with increasing number of transverse threads with which the longitudinal thread end sections are interwoven.
