Abstract

The present invention relates to a process of applying metal microparticles to polymeric material, based on fusing metal particles to the surface of the polymer. The process is characterised in that fragmented metal particles in the form of micrometre-sized powder are premixed with a granulate of a polymeric material, and subsequently, at continued stirring, the metal particles are heated by eddy currents generated by a rapidly changing magnetic field. The present invention also relates to a device for performing the process, a polymeric material with metal microparticles and the use of the polymeric material.
