実施の形態1.
図1は、この発明の実施の形態1に係る監視システムの全体構成図である。
この監視システムは、監視映像データを伝送するIPネットワークなどの通信網4を介して、監視カメラ1と監視レコーダ2と外部PC3が接続されている。
監視カメラ1は、映像を撮影して符号化し、ネットワーク(通信網4)を介して監視映像データを配信する。
監視レコーダ2は、監視カメラ1が配信した映像データを受信して記録する監視映像記録装置である。
外部PC3は、監視カメラ1や監視レコーダ2から配信された映像データを閲覧する機能を有する。
監視カメラ1は、撮像部101と、符号化部102と、映像送信部103と、制御信号送受信部104と、記憶媒体105と、映像記録部106と、制御部107とを備える。
撮像部101は、映像を光学信号として撮像しデジタル信号に変換する。
符号化部102は、撮像部101から出力されるデジタル映像信号を、JPEGやMPEGやH.264などの符号化方式により符号化する。
映像送信部103は、符号化部102で符号化した映像データをネットワークへ配信する。
記憶媒体105は、データを格納しておくメモリカードなどの記憶媒体である。
映像記録部106は、符号化部102で符号化した映像データを記憶媒体105に記録する。
制御部107は、制御信号送受信部104で受信した制御信号に基づき、符号化部102で符号化した映像データを映像送信部103で配信するか、映像記録部106によって自身が有する記憶媒体105に記録するかを制御する。
監視レコーダ2は、映像受信部201と、記憶媒体202と、映像記録部203と、映像送信部204と、装置状態監視部205と、制御信号送受信部206とを備える。
映像受信部201は、監視カメラ1が配信した監視映像データを通信網4を介して受信する。
記憶媒体202は、データを格納しておくハードディスクドライブやRAID装置などの記憶媒体である。
映像記録部203は、映像受信部201で受信した映像データを記憶媒体202に記録する。
装置状態監視部205は、自身の装置(監視レコーダ2)の状態を監視する。
制御信号送受信部206は、監視カメラ1や外部PC3と制御信号の送受信を行う。
監視システムが正常稼動している場合は、監視カメラ1は映像データをネットワークへ配信し、監視レコーダ2は、受信した映像データを映像記録部203にて記憶媒体202に記録する。
しかしながら、監視レコーダ2において記憶媒体202を交換するような装置メンテナンスを行う場合は、通常、監視レコーダ2の装置再起動を伴う。装置再起動時、装置状態監視部205は、搭載OSが有する装置状態情報を参照するなどして装置再起動の開始を認識し、制御信号送受信部206を介して、監視カメラ1に対し映像記録開始指示を送信する。
また、対になる動作として、装置状態監視部205は、搭載OSが有する装置状態情報を参照するなどして装置再起動の終了を認識し、制御信号送受信部206を介して、監視カメラ1に対し映像記録終了指示を送信する。
このような異常が発生した場合、装置状態監視部205は、装置の搭載OSや記録媒体制御ドライバが提供する記録媒体制御API(Application Program Interface)からの戻り値がエラーであることを検出したり、映像記録を司るソフトウェア部品からの応答が返されないことを検出することによって、これらを記録異常の発生と認識し、制御信号送受信部206を介して、監視カメラ1に対し映像記録開始指示を送信する。
図4は、この発明の実施の形態1に係る監視カメラ1の処理を示すフローチャートである。
監視カメラ1の制御信号送受信部104は、外部から通信網4を介して制御信号を受信する(ステップST1)。
次に、制御部107は、ステップST1で制御信号送受信部104が受信した制御信号を受け取り、当該制御信号が、監視レコーダ2から送信された映像記録開始指示かどうかを判定する(ステップST2)。
映像記録開始指示であると判定された場合(ステップST2の“YES”の場合)、監視カメラ1の映像記録部106は、記憶媒体105への映像データの記録を開始する(ステップST3)。具体的には、制御部107が、符号化部102に対し、符号化した映像データを映像記録部106へ送信するよう指示し、映像記録部106が記憶媒体105に記録するよう制御する。なお、映像記録部106が記憶媒体105へ映像データを記録中、映像送信部103によるネットワークに対する符号化済み映像データの配信は中断してもしなくてもよい。
実施の形態1では、監視レコーダ2が自分自身の異常の発生と復旧を検出して監視カメラ1での映像データの記録開始と記録終了の契機とする実施の形態について説明したが、実施の形態2では監視カメラ1が監視レコーダ2の異常または通信網4の異常を検出して映像データの記録開始と記録終了の契機とする方式を示す。
なお、監視システムの構成については、実施の形態1において図1~3で示したものと同様であるため、図示および重複した説明を省略する。実施の形態1とは監視カメラ1の動作が異なる。
実施の形態2における監視カメラ1の制御信号送受信部104は、監視カメラ1に対する制御信号を受信するだけでなく、監視レコーダ2に対して、ネットワークを介して生存確認コマンドを送信する。
監視カメラ1の制御部107は、監視レコーダ2に対して、通信網4を介して生存確認コマンドを送信するよう制御信号送受信部104を制御する(ステップST11)。
次に制御部107は、応答待ちタイマをセットする(ステップST12)。
制御部107は、制御信号送受信部104が、ステップST11で送信した生存確認コマンドに対する応答を監視レコーダ2から受信できたかどうかを判定する(ステップST13)。
一方、ステップST13において、生存確認コマンドに対する応答を受信できていない場合(ステップST13の“NO”の場合)は、制御部107は、応答待ちタイマがタイムアップしたかどうかを判定する(ステップST15)。
ステップST15において、応答待ちタイマがタイムアップしていない場合(ステップST15の“NO”の場合)、ステップST13の処理に戻る。
図5を用いて、外部PC3が生存確認コマンドを送信する場合の処理について説明する。
外部PC3は、監視レコーダ2に対して、通信網4を介して生存確認コマンドを送信する(ステップST11)。
次に外部PC3は、応答待ちタイマをセットする(ステップST12)。
外部PC3は、ステップST11で送信した生存確認コマンドに対する応答を監視レコーダ2から受信できたかどうかを判定する(ステップST13)。
一方、ステップST13において、生存確認コマンドに対する応答を受信できていない場合(ステップST13の“NO”の場合)は、外部PC3は、応答待ちタイマがタイムアップしたかどうかを判定する(ステップST15)。
ステップST15において、応答待ちタイマがタイムアップしていない場合(ステップST15の“NO”の場合)、ステップST13の処理に戻る。
なお、監視カメラ1の問合せ、あるいは要求によって、外部PC3が監視レコーダ2の状態を確認してもよい。つまり、監視カメラ1からの問合せ、あるいは要求によって、外部PC3は、監視レコーダ2に対して生存確認コマンドを送信してもよい。
実施の形態2では、監視カメラ1が監視レコーダ2に生存確認コマンドを通知することで、異常を検出し映像データの記録開始と記録終了の契機とする実施の形態を説明したが、実施の形態3では監視レコーダ2から定常的に生存heartbeatにより状態を知らせ記録の開始と終了の契機とする方式を示す。heartbeatとは、ネットワーク機器が、一定時間(予め定められた時間)あるいは一定送信周期(予め定められた周期)ごとに「生きている」、「正常に動作している」、「記録可能である」ことを相手に伝えるための信号のことである。監視カメラ1は、ネットワークを介して監視レコーダ2のheartbeatを受信し、監視レコーダ2の状態を確認する。
なお、監視システムの構成については、実施の形態1および実施の形態2において図1~3で示したものと同様であるため、図示および重複した説明を省略する。実施の形態2の監視カメラ1および監視レコーダ2とは動作が異なる。
監視レコーダ2は制御信号送受信部206より、監視カメラ1に対するheartbeatを定周期で送信し続ける。
監視カメラ1の制御部107は、受信待ちタイマをセットする(ステップST17)。受信待ちタイマは、heartbeatが送信される一定時間より長い時間とすればよい。
制御部107は、制御信号送受信部104が、監視レコーダ2からheartbeatを受信できたかを判断する(ステップST18)。
ステップST18において、監視レコーダ2からのheartbeatを受信できたと判断された場合(ステップST18“NO”の場合)、制御部107は、受信待ちタイマをリセットし、映像記録部106が記憶媒体105への映像データの記録中であるかを確認し(ステップST19)、記録中であれば(ステップST19の“YES”の場合)、記録を終了させる(ステップST20)。記録中でなければ(ステップST19の“NO”の場合)、処理終了する。
ステップST20において、受信待ちタイマがタイムアップしていない場合(ステップST20の“NO”の場合)、ステップST18の処理に戻る。
ステップST20において、受信待ちタイマがタイムアップしている場合(ステップST20の“YES”の場合)、制御部107は、監視レコーダ2は正常な状態にないと判断し、映像記録部106は、記憶媒体105への映像データの記録を開始する(ステップST22)。具体的には、制御部107が、符号化部102に対し、符号化した映像データを映像記録部106へ送信するよう指示し、映像記録部106が記憶媒体105に記録するよう制御する。
図6を用いて、外部PC3が監視レコーダ2の状態を確認する場合の処理について説明する。
監視レコーダ2は制御信号送受信部206より、外部PC3に対するheartbeatを定周期で送信し続ける。
外部PC3は、受信待ちタイマをセットする(ステップST17)。受信待ちタイマは、heartbeatが送信される一定時間より長い時間とすればよい。
外部PC3は、監視レコーダ2からheartbeatを受信できたかを判断する(ステップST19)。
ステップST18において、監視レコーダ2からのheartbeatを受信できたと判断された場合(ステップST18“NO”の場合)、外部PC3は、受信待ちタイマをリセットし、監視カメラ1が映像データの記録中であるかを確認し(ステップST19)、記録中であれば(ステップST19の“YES”の場合)、監視カメラ1に対し映像記録終了指示を送信する(ステップST20)。記録中でなければ(ステップST19の“NO”の場合)、処理終了する。ステップST20において、外部PCが映像記録終了指示を送信すると、映像記録終了指示を受信した監視カメラ1の映像記録部106は、記憶媒体105への映像データの記録を終了する(ステップST21)。
ステップST20において、受信待ちタイマがタイムアップしていない場合(ステップST20の“NO”の場合)、ステップST18の処理に戻る。
ステップST20において、受信待ちタイマがタイムアップしている場合(ステップST20の“YES”の場合)、外部PC3は、監視レコーダ2が正常な状態にないと判断し、監視カメラ1に対し映像記録開始指示を送信する。映像記録開始指示を受信した監視カメラ1の映像記録部106は、記憶媒体105への映像データの記録を開始する。具体的には、制御部107が、符号化部102に対し、符号化した映像データを映像記録部106へ送信するよう指示し、映像記録部106が記憶媒体105に記録するよう制御する。なお、映像記録部106が記憶媒体105へ映像データを記録中、映像送信部103によるネットワークに対する符号化済み映像データの配信は中断してもしなくてもよい。
なお、監視カメラ1の問合せ、あるいは要求によって、外部PC3が監視レコーダ2の状態を確認してもよい。つまり、監視カメラ1からの問合せ、あるいは要求によって、外部PC3は、監視レコーダ2のheartbeatを受信してもよい。
実施の形態1~3では、監視レコーダ2への記録不能状態の通知/検知により監視カメラ1内部の記憶媒体105に記録を切り替える方式を説明したが、実施の形態4では監視レコーダ2に加え、内部の記憶媒体105にも記録ができない場合、監視カメラ1と監視レコーダ2以外の場所に記録する方法を提案する。
なお、監視レコーダ2への記録不能状態の検知方法については、実施の形態1~3と同様であるため省略する。
この監視システムは、図1と同様、監視カメラ5は、監視映像データ撮影して符号化し、ネットワーク(通信網6)を介して、複数の監視カメラ5と監視レコーダ7と外部PC8と外部機器9とが接続されている。
外部機器9は同一ネットワーク上に接続されているが、監視目的以外の機器であり、未知の記録機器である。
監視カメラ5は、撮像部301と、符号化部302と、映像送信部303と、制御信号送受信部304と、記憶媒体305と、映像記録部306と、制御部307と、暗号化部308と、映像受信部309と、配信管理部310を備える。
図1の監視カメラ1との差分を説明する。
暗号化部308は、符号化部302で符号化した映像を暗号化する機能を有する。
制御部307は、記憶媒体305が映像データを記録可能な状態か、記録不可能な状態かを確認する。
配信管理部310は、記録配信情報を管理する。記録配信情報とは、“現在の記録配信先”と、“記録配信先切替時刻”と、“同一ネットワーク上の既知記録配信先の情報”と、“記憶媒体305の状態”とである。
監視レコーダ7、監視カメラ5の記憶媒体305への記録不能状態になった際、制御信号送受信部304は、同一ネットワーク上に映像を記録配信できる機器があるか探索する。
映像送信部303は、制御信号送受信部304が発見した記録配信可能機器へ映像データを配信する。
監視カメラ1の制御信号送受信部304は、外部から通信網4を介して制御信号を受信する(ステップST23)。
制御部307は、制御信号送受信部304が、監視レコーダ7の記録不能を検知したかを判断する(ステップST24)。あるいは、映像記録開始指示を受信したかを判断する。
ステップST24において、監視レコーダ7が記録できない状態と判断された場合、あるいは映像記録開始指示を受信したと判断された場合(ステップST24“YES”の場合)、制御部307は、配信管理部310を介して、監視カメラ5が持つ内部記憶媒体305への記録が可能であるか確認する(ステップST27)。
ステップST27において、内部記憶媒体305に記録できると判断された場合(ステップST27“YES”の場合)、内部記憶媒体305への映像データの記録を開始する(ステップST28)。
同一ネットワーク上の記録配信可能機器が見つかった場合(ステップST30“YES”の場合)、制御部307は、配信管理部310を参照し、既知の記録配信可能機器かを確認する(ステップST31)。つまり、ステップST30で見つかった記録配信可能機器は、安全が保障された機器であるかどうかを確認する。
ステップST31にて、既知の記録配信可能機器でなかった場合(ステップST31“NO”の場合)、暗号化部308で暗号化してステップST30で見つかった記録配信可能機器へ記録先の切替を行う(ステップST32)。具体的には、制御部307は、符号化部302に対し、符号化した映像データを暗号化部308に出力させ、暗号化部308で暗号化して、当該暗号化された映像データを映像送信部303がステップST30で見つかった記録配信可能機器へ送信するように指示し、記録配信可能機器で記録するように制御する。
ステップST33において、制御部307は、映像送信部303から映像データが配信される配信先を、監視レコーダ7に切り替えるとともに、制御信号送受信部304から、監視レコーダ7に、配信管理部310で管理している記録先の情報を送付するようにする(ステップST33)。監視レコーダ7は、監視カメラ5から得た切替先のIPと切替時刻を元に、記録できなかった間の映像を回収する。
記録開始指示を受信した監視カメラ5では、上述したステップST24以降の処理を行う。
なお、監視カメラ5の問合せ、あるいは要求によって、外部PC8が外部から通信網4を介して制御信号を受信してもよい。
実施の形態4では、監視レコーダ7への記録不能状態および、内部の記憶媒体305に記録できない場合、記録配信可能機器を探索し記録配信先を切り替える方法を説明した。実施の形態5では、監視カメラ5が別のカメラからの記録要求に対し、自分の映像配信は止めずに内部の記憶媒体305に記録する方式を示す。
なお、監視システム、および、監視カメラ5の構成については、実施の形態4において図7、図8で示したものと同様であるため、図示および重複した説明を省略する。
制御部307は、制御信号送受信部304が見つけた記録配信可能機器を符号化部302に通知する機能、配信管理部310に、切り替えた記録配信先情報を通知する機能を有する。
映像記録部306は、記憶媒体305が記録可能であるかを配信管理部310に通知する。
図10は、この発明の実施の形態5に係る監視カメラ5の処理を表すフローチャートである。
制御部307は、制御信号送受信部304から受信した要求を解析し、記録要求であるかどうかを判断する(ステップST35)。
ステップST35において、記録要求と判断された場合(ステップST35の“YES”の場合)、制御部307は、配信管理部304に、内部の記憶媒体305が記録可能な状態であるかを確認する(ステップST36)。
記録可能な状態であった場合(ステップST36“YES”の場合)、制御信号送受信部304は、記録可能であることを応答し、映像受信部309は、映像の受信を開始する(ステップST40)。
ステップST36において、記録不能と判断された場合(ステップST36の“NO”の場合)、制御信号送受信部304は、記録不能であることを応答し、映像の受信を拒否する(ステップST41)。
記録開始指示を受信した監視カメラ5では、上述したステップST35以降の処理を行う。
なお、監視カメラ5の問合せ、あるいは要求によって、外部PC8が外部から映像データの蓄積要求を受信してもよい。
実施の形態6では、監視カメラ5の配信管理部310に同一ネットワーク上の記録可能装置を設定する方法について示す。
なお、監視システムおよび、監視カメラ5の構成については、実施の形態4、5において図7、図8で示したものと同様であるため、図示および重複した説明を省略する。ただし、監視カメラ5には、ユーザから情報を入力可能であり、ユーザへ情報を出力可能な入出力部を設ける。入出力部は、GUI用としてもよい。
同一ネットワーク上の記録配信可能機器は、外部PC8から監視カメラ5に通信網6を通して設定を行う。
メイン記録装置IPアドレス入力部401は、映像を記録する監視レコーダ7のIPアドレスを登録する。
切替記録先IPアドレス入力部402は、同一ネットワーク上の記録配信可能機器のIPアドレス、あるいは他の監視カメラを登録する。ここで登録された記録可能装置は、実施の形態4にて、既知の記録配信可能機器として、暗号化なく送信することができる。
同一ネットワーク外部記録装置自動サーチ要否選択部403では、記録不能状態になった場合、同一ネットワーク上の機器を探索するかを設定する。
外部からの映像受信選択部404では、記録不能になった別カメラの映像を記録できる状態であれば、受信するかを選択する。
記録配信履歴405は、記録配信先の履歴が表示される。実施の形態4にて、監視レコーダが映像回収できなかった場合、手動で回収するためにある。
また、監視カメラ5内の記憶媒体305に記憶するか否かの設定が可能としても良い。
また、監視カメラ5内の記憶媒体305か、同一ネットワーク上の記録可能機器の優先順位を設定可能としても良い。
また、各実施の形態1~6における監視カメラ1,5、監視レコーダ2,7の制御に用いられる各部は、ソフトウェアに基づくCPUを用いたプログラム処理によって実行される。
Claims (13)
- 撮像した監視映像データを、ネットワークを経由して配信可能であり、自身に記憶媒体を有する監視カメラと、前記ネットワークを経由して前記監視カメラが配信する前記監視映像データを受信し記録する監視レコーダとから構成される監視システムにおいて、
前記ネットワークを経由して前記監視カメラおよび前記監視レコーダと接続され、前記監視レコーダが前記監視映像データを記録可能な状態か記録不可能な状態かを確認し、記録不可能な状態を確認した場合に前記監視カメラに対して映像記録開始を指示する制御信号を送信する監視部を備え、
前記監視カメラは、前記映像記録開始を指示する制御信号を受信した場合、前記自身が有する記憶媒体に前記撮像した監視映像データを記録する
ことを特徴とする監視システム。 - 前記監視部は、前記監視レコーダが予め定められた周期で送信する信号を前記予め定められた周期内で受信した場合に、前記監視レコーダが前記監視映像データを記録可能と判断し、前記信号を前記予め定められた周期内で受信しない場合に前記監視レコーダが前記監視映像データを記録不可能と判断する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の監視システム。 - 前記監視部は、前記監視レコーダに対して正常な状態であるか正常な状態でないかを確認する確認信号を送信し、前記監視レコーダから前記確認信号に対する応答信号を受信した場合に前記監視レコーダが前記監視映像データを記録可能と判断し、前記確認信号に対する応答信号を受信しない場合に前記監視レコーダが前記監視映像データを記録不可能と判断する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の監視システム。 - 前記監視カメラは、
前記自身が有する記憶媒体が前記映像データを記録可能な状態か記録不可能な状態かを確認する制御部と、
前記自身が有する記憶媒体が記録不可能な状態の場合、前記ネットワーク上の記録配信可能機器を探索する制御信号送受信部と、
前記制御信号送受信部が前記記録配信可能機器を発見した場合、前記記録配信可能機器へ前記監視映像データを配信する映像送信部とを有する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の監視システム。 - 前記監視カメラは、
既知記録配信先の情報と、記録配信先切替時刻と、記録配信先とを記憶する配信管理部と、
前記制御信号送受信部が発見した前記記録配信可能機器が、前記既知記録配信先でない場合に前記監視映像データを暗号化する暗号化部とを有し、
前記制御部は、前記記録配信可能機器への前記記録配信先切替時刻と前記記録配信先とを前記配信管理部に保存する
ことを特徴とする請求項4記載の監視システム。 - 前記制御信号送受信部は、
前記監視レコーダが記録可能な状態へ復旧した場合に、前記記録配信先切替時刻と、前記記録配信先とを前記監視レコーダへ送信する
ことを特徴とする請求項5記載の監視システム。 - 前記監視カメラは、
前記既知記録配信先を登録する入出力部を有する
ことを特徴とする請求項5記載の監視システム。 - 前記監視カメラは、前記監視部からの前記映像記録開始を指示する制御信号に代わり、前記ネットワークを経由して他の監視カメラからの映像記録開始を要求する制御信号を受信した場合、前記自身が有する記憶媒体に前記ネットワーク経由で受信した前記他の監視カメラが撮像した監視映像データを記録する
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の監視システム。 - 撮像した監視映像データを、ネットワークを経由して配信可能であり、自身に記憶媒体を有する監視カメラと、前記ネットワークを経由して前記監視カメラが配信する前記監視映像データを受信し記録する監視レコーダとから構成される監視システムにおいて、
前記監視レコーダは、自身の映像記録が不可能であると判断した場合に、前記監視カメラに対して映像記録開始を指示する制御信号を送信し、
前記監視カメラは、前記映像記録開始を指示する制御信号を受信すると、前記自身が有する記憶媒体に前記撮像した監視映像データを記録し、
前記監視レコーダが、自身の映像記録が可能になったと判断した場合に、前記監視カメラに対して映像記録終了を指示する制御信号を送信し、
前記監視カメラは、前記映像記録終了を指示する制御信号を受信すると、前記自身が有する記憶媒体への前記監視映像データの記録を終了する
ことを特徴とする監視システム。 - 前記監視レコーダは、自身の装置再起動の開始と終了を検出し、前記自身の装置再起動の開始を検出した場合に、自身の映像記録が不可能であると判断し、前記自身の装置再起動の終了を検出した場合に、自身の映像記録が可能になったと判断することを特徴とする請求項9記載の監視システム。
- 前記監視レコーダは、前記自身が有する記憶媒体の異常やソフトウェア部品の異常の発生と復旧を検出し、前記異常の発生を検出した場合に、自身の映像記録が不可能であると判断し、前記異常の復旧を検出した場合に、自身の映像記録が可能になったと判断することを特徴とする請求項9記載の監視システム。
- 撮像した監視映像データを、ネットワークを経由して配信可能であり、自身に記憶媒体を有する監視カメラであって、
当該監視カメラは、前記ネットワークを経由して前記監視カメラが配信する前記監視映像データを受信し記録する監視レコーダと通信可能であり、
前記監視レコーダや前記ネットワークの異常の発生と復旧を検出する制御部を備え、
前記制御部は、前記異常の発生を検出した場合に、前記自身が有する記憶媒体に対して前記撮像した監視映像データの記録を開始させ、前記異常の復旧を検出した場合に、前記自身が有する記憶媒体に対して前記撮像した監視映像データの記録を終了させる
ことを特徴とする監視カメラ。 - 前記制御部は、前記監視レコーダに対して、生存確認コマンドを送信することによって、前記監視レコーダの異常の発生と復旧を検出することを特徴とする請求項12記載の監視カメラ。
