Abstract

The present invention relates to a driver device (40) for driving a load (64), comprising a housing (42) adapted to be mounted at a guide rail (14), a plurality of connector elements (44, 46, 48) formed at a surface (50) of the housing (42) for electrically connecting the driver device (40) to busbars (24, 26, 28) of the guide rail (14), wherein a first and a second of the connection elements (44, 46) are provided for receiving an input voltage (V10) from an external voltage supply (58), and a converter unit connected to the first and the second of the connection elements (44, 46) for receiving the input voltage (V10) and for converting the input voltage (V10) to an electric output variable (V20; I20) provided to a third of the connection elements (48) for powering the load (64) connected to the busbars (24, 26, 28) of the guide rail.
