Description
The present invention relates to a compressor comprising a fan that provides the ventilating effectiveness inside the casing to be increased.
In compressors used in cooling devices, there is a piston providing the refrigerant to be sucked and pumped, and a cylinder wherein the piston is placed. The piston provides the refrigerant to be compressed by moving forwards and backwards inside the cylinder. Meanwhile, the temperature of the refrigerant compressed in the cylinder increases and emanates into the casing. Since the compressor input power increases in cases wherein the cylinder is not cooled efficiently, performance decreases. In hermetic compressors, an electric motor is used in order to drive the crankshaft-piston rod mechanism. In the electric motor the entire thermal energy generated due to mechanical losses and the compression process is transferred to the environment via the casing when the steady state is reached. The increase in the temperatures of the casing and the components decreases the volumetric efficiency since the density of the refrigerant received into the cylinder is decreased, while increasing the work load required during the compression since the temperature of the cylinder increases. Thus, cooling the casing plays a significant role in the performance of the compressor.
In the state of the art German Patent Document No. DE202005015372, a compressor is disclosed, having a fan that is situated on the crankshaft.
In the state of the art Great Britain Patent Document No. GB411095, a compressor is disclosed, having a fan that is mounted onto the crankshaft and that has the same rotational axis as the crankshaft.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a compressor wherein the interior of the casing is efficiently cooled, the performance is increased and energy consumption is decreased.
The compressor realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof comprises a crankshaft providing the rotational motion of the rotor to be transmitted to the piston in the form of linear motion, at least one journal situated on the crankshaft and at least one fan that propels the air.
In the compressor of the present invention, the fan is placed onto the journal so that the rotational axis thereof is different from the rotational axis of the crankshaft. During the operation of the compressor, the fan that moves by rotating moves together with the journal by rotating. The fan that moves by rotating around the rotational axis of the journal provides the efficient cooling of the interior of the casing. By placing the fan onto the journal the rotational axis of which is spaced apart with the rotational axis of
the crankshaft, the fan is enabled to follow an orbit with a greater diameter and to get close to the movable members during its rotation.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor comprises at least one intermediate member that is placed onto the journal and that provides the fan to be mounted to the journal. By means of the intermediate member, the fan can be attached to/detached from the journal. The intermediate member allows the fan to rotate around an eccentric axis with respect to the rotational axis of the crankshaft.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor comprises at least one extension situated on the intermediate member. According to the length of the extension, the distance between the rotational axis of the fan and the rotational axis of the crankshaft can be adjusted.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the fan comprises at least one propeller that propels the air, a motor and at least one shaft that passes through the center of the intermediate member and to the part facing the casing interior of which the propeller is mounted. With the drive of the motor, the shaft moves and enables the propeller to move by rotating.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the height of the shaft can be gradually adjusted. Thus, together with the shaft the height of the fan can also be gradually adjusted.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor comprises at least one hole arranged on the journal. The holes are shaped as partial rings and positioned consecutively around the shaft when the shaft is mounted to the intermediate member.
By means of the present invention, compressor is realized, having a fan that propels the air in a wider area in the casing.
The compressor realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:

The compressor (1) comprises a casing (2) supporting the members therein and wherein the oil lubricating the movable members is placed, a piston (3) that sucks and pumps the refrigerant, a crankshaft (4) providing the rotational motion of the rotor to be transmitted to the piston (3) in the form of linear motion, at least one journal (5) that connects the crankshaft (4) to the piston (3) and at least one fan (6) that propels the air inside the casing (2) (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3).
The compressor (1) of the present invention comprises at least one fan (6) that is mounted onto the journal (5) and that rotates around an eccentric axis with respect to the rotational axis of the crankshaft (4). During the operation of the compressor (1), the journal (5) rotates around an eccentric axis with respect to the rotational axis of the crankshaft (4). With the fan (6) being mounted onto the journal (5), the fan (6) is also enabled to rotate around an eccentric axis with respect to the rotational axis of the crankshaft (4). Thus, in additional to the rotation of the fan (6) around its own axis, the fan (6) propels the air in a wider area inside the casing (2) and the members moving during the operation of the compressor (1) and the interior of the casing (2) are provided to be efficiently cooled. Moreover, since the fan (6) is situated at the upper regions inside the casing (2), the variation in the temperature of the oil accumulated in the casing (2) is very small. Thus, the interior of the casing (2) is provided to be efficiently cooled without affecting the temperature of the oil accumulated inside the casing (2) (Figure 4, Figure 5).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor (1) comprises at least one intermediate member (7) mounted onto the journal (5) and whereon the fan (6) is placed. By means of the intermediate member (7), the fan (6) is mounted onto the journal (5) so as to rotate around an eccentric axis with respect to the rotational axis of the crankshaft (4). By means of the intermediate member (7), the distance between the rotational axis of the fan (6) and the rotational axis of the crankshaft (4) can be adjusted (Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 6, Figure 7).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the compressor (1) comprises at least one extension (8) that is situated on the intermediate member (7) and that enables the fan (6) to rotate around an axis located between the rotational axis of the crankshaft (4) and the rotational axis of the journal (5). By means of the extension (8) situated on the intermediate member (7), the position of the fan (6) on the journal (5) can be adjusted. By means of the extension (8), the rotational axis of the fan (6) can be moved close to or away from the rotational axis of the crankshaft (4) (Figure 8, Figure 9).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the fan (6) comprises at least one propeller (9) that propels the air, a motor (10), and at least one shaft (11) that passes through the intermediate member (7), whereon the propeller (9) is mounted and that enables the propeller (9) to be rotated by moving with the drive of the motor (10). The shaft (11) driven by the motor (10) moves by rotating around its own axis. The propeller (9) is mounted to the end of the shaft (11) that passes through the intermediate member (7). During the rotation of the shaft (11), the propeller (9), connected to the shaft (11), also moves by rotating. During the operation of the compressor (1), the propeller (9) rotating around its own axis also moves by rotating together with the journal (5) (Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 8, Figure 9, Figure 10, Figure 11).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the shaft (11) moves in the vertical direction. By means of the shaft (11), the propeller (9) is enabled to move upwards/downwards. Thus, the height of the propeller (9) inside the casing (2) can be adjusted and the air can be propelled at different points inside the casing (2).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the intermediate member (7) comprises at least one hole (12) through which the oil accumulated in the journal (5) passes. During the operation of the compressor (1), the oil accumulated inside the casing (2) is delivered to the movable members by means of the crankshaft (4). The intermediate member (7) at least partially covers the top of the journal (5). By means of the holes (12), the oil accumulated inside the journal (5) is provided to be delivered into the casing (2). With the rotational movement of the intermediate member (7) together with the journal (5) during the movement of the crankshaft (4), the oil is enabled to be sprayed towards the movable members (Figure 4, Figure 10).
In a derivative of this embodiment, the holes (12) are partial ring-shaped. When the shaft (11) is mounted to the intermediate member (7), the holes (12) are positioned consecutively around the shaft (11).
By means of the present invention, a compressor (1) is realized, having a fan (6) that enables a wider area inside the casing (2) to be cooled. The movable members are provided to be efficiently cooled with the effect of the fan (6) moving by rotating around its own axis and also together with the journal (5). Thus, the performance of the compressor (1) is improved while the energy consumption is decreased.
It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited by the embodiments disclosed above and a person skilled in the art can easily introduce different embodiments. These should be considered within the scope of the protection postulated by the claims of the present invention.
